Great hall with large stage, good acoustics and plenty of well cushioned chairs with balcony approx 1000 seating capacity.multiple small stages for plays and decent parking.

Very beautiful place. If play is at vanaranga. Cover yourself fully to avoid mosquito bites.

A very affordable place for holding public interest functions/conventions.
The famous drama repertory RANGAYANA is also located in the campus. A very beautiful open air theatre is also available here.

Best experience of witnessing the rangabhoomi here, surrounded with architecture monuments different stages

There are many theaters, like kiru mandira, vana mandira etc. Yearly bahuroopi natakotsava happens in the month of Feb which happens in Grand fasion

National theatre festival was excellent.
5day event with Kananda musics
Good treat for kannada people. Others may feel bored.
Free shows available sometimes, outside the auditorium.
Stalls were available with books hand made crafts etc

Super for the people's to show their talents and skills in the form of skit or short film.
In this once in a week there will be at least one skit will be there.

One of the best places to watch dramas, plays in Mysuru (Mysore).
Throughout the year there will be plays / dramas or any other cultural functions going on.
Especially during " Dasara festival " special plays/ dramas are organized here for public.
Tickets cost are nominal (most of the times). Sometimes it will be for free.
"Bahurupi"drama fest organized here is famous nation wide.
If you are Visiting Mysuru for a week and If you are Drama/Play enthusiast this is the right place to visit.

No proper maintenance but a very good space with great performances happening throughout the year. I felt it lacked a good user experience and interface

Kalamandira premises acquired a halo of its own once renowned theatre and film personality and creative genius B. V. Karanth started Rangayana in 1989 at the cellar of Kalamandira using each and every available space. Rangayana has imbibed Karanth’s imagination, vision, brilliance, and dream along with the hard work of the artistes, technicians and staff.

Basavalingiah and Prasanna, Chidambara Rao Jambe B. Jayashree and Lingadevaru Halemane who became Rangayana Directors subsequently have worked very hard to build a strong foundation to this institution and expanded its scope and horizon.

Rangayana was visualised in such a way that its activities were not to duplicate other theatre companies. Right from the process of selection of artistes, Rangayana had to follow innovative methods. As a result of this meticulous method, the focus was more on the raw energetic artistes, mostly from rural areas from the nook and corner of Karnataka, who had unbound enthusiasm in joining Rangayana.

It is an old place, and in need of renovation. The seating arrangements in the ground floor is comfortable. However first floor is far from comfortable, the stairs are pretty steep and view is not good. Air conditioning is OK.

Government Building and you can expect how such building are maintained, nevertheless what option does Mysoreans have other than this massive structure, it stops with that. Though some improvements in the garden are being seen, inside seats are to be juncked.

Not a good place to organize events.
No AC, fans too didn't work. Very hot while seating and seeing show. But I liked the show by Zhakir Khan

This is the were I get relaxation and get recharge. Here we get 4-5 good halls to make any type of functions like book release, debate, photo exibhitions etc. One big auditorium for big functions like play, film show, any type of cultural activities, school day etc. And small auditorium for smaller funftions Behind this Rangayana state drama repertory is situated which is recognised for theatre activities in national level. Every day and weekend we get one or other function in this campus. We can meet here good friends of extra curricular persons here. It is my favorite place to visit now and then.

Mysuru has a best place to perform. Our so called Kalamandir has given plenty of members a beautiful stage. A perft place to organise a cultural events.

Got a good place in mysuru where every cultural program goes there and it's a wow to tell that's I'm culture heritage mysuru

Beautifully designed, Good Acoustics, wonderful ambiance and every other facilities but pathetic wash rooms.

Huge place to do culture programs. But maintenance is very poor, how do you expect a govt body to be good.

A fabulous place for display of art. Indeed a very spacious and well equipped auditorium that suits practically all needs of stage N performance. Audience capacity is great and stage is extraordinary

Karnataka kalamandir, one of the oldest and best place for the young artists to get trained to work for serials and movies.

Kalamandir will organise the cultural events very often, not only karnataka culture is used over here, they have made the space for each and state to show their rich culture.

Weekly drama will be played over there.

Kalamandira is sutabl for culture activity. So many times I visit this place. Big theatre thousand above people sitting inside comfortable.

Very nice place. Peaceful place. Sound effects are fabulous in auditorium. Great place to visit when u need some peaceful mind.

A well known place & auditorium which hosts mainly events associated to cultural & folk category during festivals like Dasara, Annual Theatre Festival, Bahuroopi etc.

The auditorium has been upgraded with new set of cushion chairs & bass speakers.
