Been visiting this place from 5+years. Nov 14th 2022 i visited again and got to know that the owner has changed and the food was below average. Chicken fry was salty, kaju masala was without cream or butter, curd rice was average, mixed pakoda and egg pakoda with chatni were good. Lassi was good but now they are giving in small steel glass which is costing 50/- (not worth). Rest all below average. I'm not visiting again. Service was excellent but no good food then what's the use of just service
Amazing food, down to earth people and a typical Punjabi dhaba set up. Best part is the beds to eat food. Never miss their daal fry with white rice and chilly chicken with egg rice.
It was really great experience. Quality and quantity is really good and decent price. But chicken kabab was ok ok but rest everything was worth having.
Good food. Recommended dhaba after a long ride/drive for a better meal in the vicinity. Food was satisfying and the place was ok. There is Punjabi style seating and regular seating too so that you won't miss the whole Punjabi style seved-food. The waiting time was not so long.
The meal was however satisfying and it was not bad. You shouldn't miss the lassi after the meal, very thick and delicious. Complete rejuvenation.
The only downside I saw was the place could be easily covered with dust if any HTV's goes by as it is very close to the highway.
Found this place on our trip to Mandaragiri Hills from Bangalore. It's a nice dhaba with good rates. Tried chicken, dal and lassi over there which was quite good.
Quite okay if you really hungry with no other option for you. Many of the chicken items tasted the same. Lassi if top class. Other things can be improved.
Craving for Punjabi cuisine, taste and ambience in Bangalore. I would suggest this place to come. Nearly 37 odd kms from Bangalore on Tumkur- Mangalore highway and 12 kms from Nelmangala.
An awesome place authentic Punjabi cuisine on the highway. Prompt service, hygienic and tasty food. Their pepper chicken, chilli chicken and tadka dal are must try.
First look seems okay. But food was not very punjabi dhabba style. Had an average experience with 4 members. Should improve on food quality and service.
Basic dhaba used mostly by Truckers. Food was decent taste. Bajji and Gobi 65 were decent. The portion size is good. Main course was decent. Roti was good. Plain palak masala and tomato masala was good. Paneer curry and dal makhani was average. Overall, an average rating because the food was very greasy. This is a decent place for a quick bite enroute a road trip. But if you are driving from Bangalore to eat in this restaurant, perhaps not worth it, because quality of food was not appealing and failed to tickle the toungue
Great place to enjoy your outings with your full family & friends. Food quality is perfectly & typically of dhaba style. So, tasty that you will relish! Variety is wide and prices are extremely reasonable! Go there and explore yourself and enjoy. Ample parking space is available.
Excellent place if you would like to enjoy tasty food with very low price tag. Its around 50 km from bangalore on tumkur road. We were very sceptical about this place and started with few dishes. But, first thing made our trip awesome. We tried the tea.you must try it. It's awesome. Then you should try finger chips potato fry, moghlai daal taddka, tandoori roti, veg pakoda, chicken butter masala.rest is history.trust my review and try once. And if someone is from east india or north india will definitely match the taste buds.
CHEATERS: DO NOT GO TO THIS DHABA BASED ON REVIEWS. ITS REVIEWS ARE TOTALLY MANIPULATED IN THE NAME OF KAJU MASALA THEY GAVE, 3-4 YEARS OLD AND SMELLING KAJU, WHEN QUESTIONED, Staff Realised, BUT NO EFFECT ON OWNER, As IF THIS Was HIS DAILY ISSUES.
HORRIBLE. GOD SAVE THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD FOOD THERE.
We were initially apprehensive as the Dhabha was empty, however, no sooner the starters and lassi quickly made its way to us, all doubts vanished. Typical simple and tasty food with no fuss and quick service. Before the order, we told the waiter how we would like only to eat what they do best and that helped I think as they put their best foot forward. The starters were the best, lassi is a sure dont miss, egg bhurji was a surprise winner with its perfect softness and freshness, chai in the end was kadak and refreshing. The rotis, dal and other curries were average yet decent enough. The pricing is surely not cheap yet not exorbitant and overall par for a typical north indian dhabha experience and fare. By the time we left, there were more families dining and I guess that is why it is called a family dhabha too. I would stop again for starters, lassi and chai.
Food is not tasty as reviews say.ordered Panjabi chicken, Chicken Kolhapuri and Dal tadka, finger chips and Kabab. Kabab was good and Dal is worst. Chicken items were also very very normal. Overall not worth money and time
I enjoyed the typical dhaba style.the guy there.rajan from UP was very hospitable and quick. Punjabi food was awesome.well hygiene.guys who own hv to slightly up the ante.three cheers
Amazing food. Complete a highway dhabba feel when you go there. Place to park you vehicle. Best place after a long drive you can have your lunch/dinner. Friendly waiters. A must try
Absolutely delicious desi punjabi dhaba food, with the whole charpoy/wooden plank setting. Clean, simple, sectioned off for families, making it wholesome for everyone. Food is beyond yummy, we tried the dal makhani, Punjabi chicken gravy, and bhindi fry with great kulchas. MUST try for anyone craving the dhaba type experience. Not far away from Nelamangala.
It's a very small highway dhaba but food ka finger licking good. Don't expect great ambiance here it can only provide you tasty food it can't guarantee a very hygienic environment. So if you are using the highway and hungry then try this dhaba but if you are looking for great ambiance and highly hugenic environment then this restaurant is not for you.
The rustic ambience, to the punjabi songs on the small tv and the chilled air set the mood, but the star of the evening is the food that gets you hooked. It was delicious, authentic punjabi and wholesome. All the satisfaction of having an awsome meal. A must try for all who crave punjabi food.
Good place for having food must try the butter chicken nd ghee rice. Take a break from work nd visit on weekends good place for sit and eat Cross the Nelamangala check post.
