Highly disgusted with the quality and the taste. Charged me 250rs for one piece of prawn which is way too pricey.
Excessive oil and lal mirchi can’t fix a dish, rather it destroys.

Someone needs certain Bengali day to day items, for example puja items, household, cooking masala. Books & Magazines under one roof then this is your place. Don't bother about the price as normal West Bengal specific items are over priced. Now as Durgapuja is approaching you may get a decent stock of things. They also have an adjacent sweet-shop, fish stall and a resturant. If you are looking for a good quality Mughlai Paratha, Fish Fry, sweets and good old other snacks then this is your place. You will also get a decent Bengali thali - Veg/NV with other delicacies. Resturant is well decorated with a decent outlook. Parking available in basement, but entry to this store and resturant is a nightmare due to poor road condition. It is congested and narrow for 2 way traffic. Hope BBMP takes notice and fixes it before the festive season. Anyone who wants to enjoy casual Bengali food should give it a shot. Pricing is good. A thumbs up for the resturant. Nice ambiance. Keep it up!

Ordered vegetables & groceries online through them multiple times and I've had a delightful experience always.
The quality of items, including vegetables, were always good despite ordering in the late evenings too a few times.
Besides the whole process of placing orders and delivery has been very smooth.
Didn't need to call or chat on anything ever. It's a plain, simple & effective online delivery mechanism that they have in place already.
Kudos for bringing the best of Bengal to Bangalore for all of us.

Ordered Royal Mutton Biryani today. We have ordered earlier, but this time the mutton pieces were not good, very bony pieces. Taste was good. Raita was so watery that it went down the sink easily! Curd was not beaten well also.
Taste was good but mutton pieces and raita was not good and not worth the price and wait for the food!
3 stars because of taste.
Disappointing!

After opening new resturant Food quality has drastically decreased with price increase, we bought mutton biriyani, mutton was very hard and rough, also had basanti polao and mutton kosha and taste quality is again not like before

It was a Bangali restaurant. Me being from central India didn't like the food.
So less options for vegetarians.
I ordered noodles, the taste was not that good, and it had some weird smell.

It may be good for Bengali people, I didn't know it was a Bangali restaurant

I brought illish maach here. Weight is 1kg.and 1800 per kg was price. Taste is not at all. During cooking no smell and while eating no taste.

Kolkata Sholoana is specialist to provide rotten sweets, this one of the dish I ordered from swiggy, when I received it was completely dried and smelling bad. Hopefully will not waste my money again.

I am writing review about the restaurant (not the store. Today I ordered dhokar dalna with rice and alu bhaja. On first byte I felt the dhokar dalna is stale. I tasted the gravy once again to confirm, and it was fine, but later I realised the dhoka was completely stale, and smelling so bad. When I called the restaurant to inform, they completely ignored. I am staying in hotel for long, so I relied on outside food preferably bengali food. Thank God I have many other bengali restaurant option. PLEASE THINK TWICE WHILE ORDERING FROM KOLKATA SHOLOANA.

They gave pathetic biryani, I ordered mutton biryani from food delivery app, disgusting biryani taste, they didn't give mutton biryani rice, gave chicken or egg biryani rice which were extremely dry with half cooked hard mutton, we have to literally throw in dustbin and cook something else. THINK THRICE BEFORE YOU SEND 500 BUCKS FOR THEIR PATHETIC MUTTON BIRYANI.

Had ordered some grocery, Sandesh & Jol bhora.the sweets were extremely dry and crumbly.didn't taste fresh. They also owe me a refund for the hing, that was out of stock.

Good place work variety of items available from Kolkata. Tried Gud rasgolla. It was ok. Had ordered chicken Kosa but it was too oily. But taste was good.

Very bad, no one is responsible and responding.i think they're selling only one item in a day.what the management team are doing? To prepare only one item they are taking more than 45 mins.recommend all to dont order here by online.

Today I purchased half kg mutton and after 26 pressure cooker whisle mutton is still chewy and rubbery. Worst experience ever.

STALE FOOD DELIVERED

Worst place to have food…Please do not upset your mood and stomach and deplete your time and money by ordering food from this place…It is not about the TASTE, but the stale food and the audacity with which they serve you…I had ordered Mutton Kosa and yuk, it was smelling as if it was cooked using fish liver oil that too 10days before the mentioned time…I am still trying to understand how come they are still listed in Zomato and Swiggy…@FSSAI must look into this matter very seriously…License be revoked and customers please BE AWARE…DONOT order food from this place, even if it is available for free…My Dog even refrained eating the mutton piece… Thugs [leave 16anna, I won’t even give you 1anna]

We ordered biriyani in the evening and got old cooked biriyani. Worst part they denied the biriyani was cooked for lunch and delivered for dinner. Few months back ordered vetki fish fry and they delivered bhola vetki. That time also they denied. Quality has been downgraded horribly. Not going to order again.

Had koraishutir and hinger kachori.the food was not atall good.wait time almost 30 mins in the restaurant.

The shop was designed very well. We had ordered Peas Kochuri And aloor dum. Although the kochuri was good the aloor dum was stale. We also had gur rasgulla and we felt that it had gur flavour in it instead of pure gur. Another reason why I rate this place a 2 star was, hygiene wasn't maintained here. We also bought ghee which, when we had it, smelled like oil rather than ghee. Along with the gur rasagulla we also had mishti doi which was also stale

I enjoy having Bengali food every now and then and I thought of ordering from this place today. The usual.luchi.plain rice and dhokar dalna. I was so disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. Firstly the dhokar dalna was stale, it had gone bad and because of that all i could eat was plain rice and luchi. I am disappointed because I love Bengali food and this particular experience had made me very irritated as I was expecting alot from this place. So thank you so much for such a great experience.

Very disappointed with the service and staffs and hotel timings you guys are so pathetic if you can't serve on time then you should close you hotel

Extremely pathetic. When they started they were good but now their service has become pathetic. Especially they can’t manage deliveries well and you have to continuously chase with them about your delivery. Even if you order previous night, you have to wait till next day 3 pm or more for anything. Price is also too high and quality is bad. We ordered ghugni motor and it was full of stones. Rosogolla are not at par with Kolkata though they call themselves Kolkata Soloana. We just need few good competitors in Bangalore and this store will learn a lesson as they should not take customers for granted.

I would like to thank the team of Kolkata Sholoana. Right from taking the order till delivery they did a wonderful job. The food was fabulous. What surprised us was that inspite of the heavy downpour Kathakali herself came home and delivered the food. I think there would not be a better example of customer focus.
A special mention of Shubo who took the order and ensured everything was in place and kept in touch as it was raining and the delivery was getting delayed. He kept us updated at every step.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH VEGGIES BOUGHT. GAVE ME 4 PIECES OF WILTED KUMRO PHOOL INSTEAD OF 10 THAT I ORDERED. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE. JUST THERE TO CHEAT CUSTOMERS

Horrible food!
I had ordered 1 fish fry, 1 chicken cutlet and 2 egg devil and ALL of them were horrible.
Fish was extremely smelly, the chicken was spoiled.
Leave aside the above, the taste of the good was bad too! Everything was so chewy and hard to eat. It's almost like I'm doing a jaw exercise!
Please don't waste your money here

This place is a blessing for bengali population of bangalore. If you want a one stop store for quality fish, meat, vegetables, sweets, snacks, pooja items, bengali books and magazines etc. This is the place. The lady who owns the place is very sweet and helpful.

Extremely bad service. Food was below average. Stuffy atmosphere. The co-owner had an extremely bad attitude.

Grocery store: Extremely overpriced.
Restaurant: Average food quality. Overhyped/Overpriced place. Worst delivery service. Better to go for other established Bengali restaurants in Bangalore.

Kolkata Sholoana Biriyani is really awesome! Ordered food for my little one's Birthday and our guests loved it. Most importantly the packaging took care of the food not being leaked or spilled over. Thank you so much for your services & quality of Kolkata Biriyani & Chicken Chap

If you're a Bengali, or at least belong to The City of Joy; this eatery in Bangalore would give you the look and feel of a pice hotel right from the streets of North Calcutta. There's a friendly and humble vibe to the place. For snacks we had tea and Kolkata style fish fries made with Basa fish. The size of the fish fries were respectable, with generous amount of fish; however it seemed to have been fried a little too deep. We also had Roti and Chicken Masala for dinner; the latter having quantity enough to serve two light to moderate eaters per plate. All of this amounted to about INR 550. My personal opinion is that the price could be a little cheaper, however, there is no doubt about the quality of food served.
Also, if you're here, do not forget to pay a visit to the sweet shop owned by the same owner, just a few stores away. The Mishti Doi is just awesome!

Utter disappointment and time waste, fuel waste! They cheated like anything.

I went their shop and ordered one mutton biryani, one chicken chaap, one Biryani rice which they said it would come with one potato and one egg.
My guest doesn't eat mutton and the restaurant didn't have chicken biryani so I ordered like mentioned above.

It was so embarrassing when I called my guest to join lunch and open the pack it was just a pack of normal white rice.

I called the restaurant immediately and they asked me to book dunzo so they would replace the item. They are so shameless that they asked me to book dunzo instead doing it by themselves. I didn't understand why I would pay extra for their mistakes?

Neither I will order anything from here nor I will advise anyone to visit their store/restaurant.

I visited their today.found items not easily available in Blore. Very good. Collection of Bengali and Assamese foods. At cheap prices. Home away from home.

Very good Shop. Reasonable price. This Saraswati Idol I purchase from here only 900 rs. Highly recommended.

Many products were not available, but shown on Facebook. Sweets were good, but infested with flies which was not desirable. When I wanted to order online, ₹49 service charge was added on top of ₹49 delivery charge for two km distance.

This is my first time trying purchase different varieties of sweets from here as well as visiting the shop. The overall experience was good got most of the desired sweets for purchase as well as could see all the "bengali dorkaari jinish potro" a whole lot of thing present. Also a separate room for keeping the fishes and could see a lot variety of fishes present and these fishes are bought every Thursday, so you get mostly fresh fish if you visit the shop on Saturday and Friday's.
