It was a memorable experience with my family last week. The place is scenic, the staff are responsive and friendly. We enjoyed a campfire too. The property owner has been accommadative and gentle.

Kollanoor guest house is a lovely homely place to spend vacation with family and friends. Manju is friendly, helpful and makes the stay comfortable for the guests. We had a good stay and enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious too.

Hi we stayed three days in these kollanoor guest house they are very friendly and rooms are very nice especially sun set view point was awesome also they provide bbq for us (additional charge). Fire camp, out door games, food are nice and good overall their gusture was very nice

The room had an amazing view. Chilled nights, French pool and the swing are the biggest plus point.
The caretaker Francis is a really sweet person.
Cons: there are lots of insects at night and the room is a bit rustic.
Overall we enjoyed the place a lot.

Visited with family.had a very great experience staying here. Got very good response from Mr Sushanth for all the things starting from booking to checkout. Entire staff is very polite amd good in service. View from property is awesome.location is also within core city which saves time in visiting tourist places. Definitely recommend staying here.

I had visited this place for a 3 day trip the location has my heart. The view you get is awesome. The swing there makes it much more beautiful.the room where quite clean and spacious.breakfast served was tasty and filling. Overall it was a great experience and a must visit place

The guest house is a really awesome and the service is up to the mark. The staff all were very friendly n polite. The view point from here Z good experience. The place Z very near to almost all tourist spots. Overall a good memory to stay n enjoy. The room is expensive so better to go for share basis.

Myself and my friends had gone to Coorg for a vacation. We stayed in Kollanur guest house for 3.5 days and we absolutely loved it. The guest house had a very homely vibe, had Great dane and Beagle to play with and very good hill top view. The best part of this stay was the barbeque+bonfire setup- had such a memorable stay and a very relaxing vacation.

I recently stayed in this hotel and I must say it was an incredible experience. The hotel is situated in the midst of lush green hills and breathtaking scenery that left me spellbound.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and ensured that my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were very accommodating to all my requests.

Personally I liked this place and view from the balcony of room D1 is breathtaking and because of that I extended my stay here. Rooms and bathroom were clean and neat. The staffs were responsible and very helpful, especially Francis. If you do not want to spend on 5 star hotels and would prefer a pocket friendly stay, then Kollanoor would be the best. The hosts are also very humble and helpful. Would like to stay here if visiting Madikeri again.

Had a great experience at Kollanoor Guesthouse/Homestay as a solo traveler in April 2023.
The room was spacious, had clean bedding, spotless washroom, and a balcony with an outstanding view. The property itself is pet friendly with open spaces, a baby pool, ample parking, an infinity swing, and a small coffee estate. Great location - walkable from Raja's Seat; there's even a Madikeri town view point across the road. The host family is genuine, attentive, and maintains a well managed property. Support staff were prompt and helpful. Decent breakfast. I'd recommend that you carry essential toiletries. Overall a wonderful stay.

We stayed here only for one night with a family of 10 adults and 3 kids. It was a wonderful, enjoyable stay! The staff were very helpful and fixed all the petty issues around the room and we had a very pleasant stay! I would recommend this place for all my friends looking for similar places (Sushant the owner's son) / Manager - Francis and the help Manjunath all helped us a lot. The dogs were really friendly and our kids enjoyed looking and playing a little with them.

It was a wonderful stay of 3 nights. Bathroom and rooms were clean and spacious. They have proper car parking. I loved the swing they have. Kids will definitely love it. But cherry on top was the mountain View from balcony. And not to forget about Francis a very good guy who fulfills all your needs with smile on his face. Overall a very supportive staff and peaceful location. Go for it.

The place was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were clean as well. There was a bit of a hassle with our room booking but they rectified it right away. Francis manages the property there is really sweet and kind. Anyone looking for a chill stay must visit the place.

We stayed here for 3 days, the stay was awesome. The staff was polite and friendly, need to improve the chicken items making in telangana style. Remaining food is yummy. The guest house itself located at hill top and one can enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

I did the booking through their website by making half payment. One day prior to the trip i reached out to them to confirm the booking although I had received email on booking confirmation earlier. But to my surprise they said that their rooms are full and don't have any rooms and money will be refunded.now i feel all their reviews are fake cause this looks like a very bad managed homestay.would recommend everyone to check their negative reviews first and would request you to avoid booking such homestay where your holidays would get spoiled.

Great place to stay and chill with friends. Scenic view makes you feel like you want to come back to this place again.its a place you must visit with your friends and family. The swing and pool facing the hills was really amazing. Special mention to the host Francis and owner sushrut who were very welcoming and hospitable. Overall a great place and would love to visit again. Recommended for family and friends.

The view was breath taking after a tedious journey one view from my balcony was so refreshing that i forgot my strain.
The food was good although the prices are high that would be your least concern. The staff are really friendly you got a problem Francis is the go to guy. Praveen can help you with transport at a short notice. The food is absolutely homemade they make their own spices. Check with cook sowmya what she can surprise us with.

This is a small business so I don't intend to bad mouth them but we had horrible experiences during our visit couple of months ago. Pictures look nice and comments by previous reviewers seem decent. So I am thinking are these all fake or the reviewers just have very low standards & expectations. In a nutshell, totally unacceptable hygiene, insects & cockroaches scurrying around. Couldn't find peace from people arguing and dog barking. Dirty bathrooms. Have to call quite untrained staff for every little thing, else won't happen. If you try to give feedback, the owners are quick to argue and be rude. Only thing going for this place is "Views". Stay away, if you can.

Myself, My wife and Kid (3 years) stayed for 2 nights in Kollanoor Guest House. Initially we were confused in finding a property at Madekeri, then saw this property with Good reviews and the Photos.

We Planned Coorg to celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary (Read till the end) A surprise was waiting for us at Kollanoor.

I must say WE literally ENJOYED staying at Kollanoor Guest House.

1. The VIEW of mountains from the property is amazingly soothing, If u r lucky u can see a great view of Sunset. At night we sat by the balcony seeing the mountains and sky along with a pleasant music. Aww really mesmerizing.

2. The Management (Manager - Pravin Bhai, Care Taker - Francis, Cook - Unni Chettan) and the Owner himself S/O John Kollanoor Mr. Sushant (A Young Charming Guy) took care of us and even other Guests like their family member. They were available at a call distance.

3. Food is really amazing - U will get Coorg style Preparation and also the style u recommend. (Breakfast is their choice not ours). Surprising fact was they didn't charge anything for the 2 times Tea and Milk for my child. Really appreciating.

4. Sushant was kind enough to take us to see the farm in his Jeep (Off Roading).

5. Those Who love Dogs, they have GREAT DANE (Luca) who is scary but lovely.

6. A Mountain view SWING (Really enjoyable and Great for Shooting videos and Photos).

7. They even have a badminton court (Happy to say I joined with them to play 6 rounds of Badminton game, really funny)

8. The rooms were really clean and pleasant however few fresheners in restrooms will help.

Now the Most Exciting part - They throwed us a surprising CAKE (RED VELVET) and CAMP FIRE party to celebrate our 6th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. All of them joined with us and even few of the other guests joined to celebrate. This was our BEST Anniversary Celebrations till date. Thanks to Sushant, Pravin and Francis.

Kollanoor will be always our choice of home at COORG! Thanks GUYS Keep Rocking.
