Marvelous and full of energy place. It usually takes 45mins to 1 hour for Darshan. But in our case it took only 10 minutes. We were totally surprised as it was the weekend too.
Temple is closed afternoon time. Re open 3.30pm. 100rs immediate darshan tkts available at seva counter whiz is infront of temple. You have to remove shirt and banian to avail darshan
From subramanya road, we can take bus or van to reach to this temple. Hotels and lodges are available near by, if Dharmasthala is also included in your trip the RTC bus stand is nearby only. Plenty of bus are available to dharmastala.
It appears like this has become too commercial, unfortunately. It appears like the poojari is earning more than the temple. There is a lot of room for improvement, management wise and cleanliness. The prasad where they serve free food appeared unhygienic and mismanaged.
Really superb place. Very very chill place. Really nice to see that place. That God was so powerful and divine. A place to visit at least once in a lifetime
Experience was quiet awesome and peaceful Could do better in distributing Prasadha (they can just give the Prasadha in the counter itself where you buy prasadha tickets)
The abode of Lord Subramanya near the pleasant stream on Kumaradhara know to cure several skin diseases, the most powerful deity worshipped, rituals like Sarpasamskaara, Ashleshabali, Naagaprathishte also done here.
Amazing sacred place of Hindus, which is located among the hills and valleys of western Ghats, feeling so blessed and refreshed after Dharshan of shree Kukke Subramanya Swamy.
One of the powerful temple of subramanya. Here nagadosha related poojas will be performed. Daily annasantarpana for devotees will be there. Kumaradhara river will flow in that area. Pleasant and peaceful place for devotees.
Very well organized saamuhik Sarpasanskara for 300+ families. Only organizing the crowd would make it better if queue system and organization is done for a couple of times for sankalpa, and two other times when people crowd.
Nice and divine place Must visit place, also has small river nearby one can enjoy the cold water especially Had a nice darshan tho it took more time with special ticket
One of the Powerful god in south India. No words to describe the holiness of the sanctum. Everyday rains during monsoon. Holy river flows near temple.anna Prasadam is pretty tasty. U would love environment.
This place is very good. I visited this place this year and it is one of important places to visit. You can get here by taking bus from dharmasthala. They will charge you Rs 60 for full ticket from dharmasthala. However if you belong to that state and are senior citizens above 60 years of age they will charge you only half the ticket (only Rs 30). You should show your id card. From dharmasthala they will drop you at kukke subramanya bus stop. From there you can walk to the temple or there is a small vehicle like the ones you get in railway station to pickup and drop elderly people to the temple. It is free of cost. You have to wear dhoti traditional dress to enter the temple. Shirt and pants won't do. You can take tickets to get special Darshana. There is a queue system so you have to be in line and when your turn comes you can have darshan. There are few tiffins centres of good quality outside the temple and bathrooms are also availible. Again while coming out your elderly parents (senior citizens) can take the vehicle to exit to the road. You can get tea, coffee outside from small stalls. A few metres walk you can go to the bus stand.
Best pujas offered for kalasarpha dosa and other dosha people who believe can do their pujas but don't offer priest as much as they demand u give them according to ur will
Kukke Shri Subrahmanya temple comes under the muzarai department of government of Karnataka. Lapped in the luxurious abundance of the beauty of the nature the village of Subrahmanya lies in the Sullia Taluk in Dakshina Kannada with a sanctity which very few places can boast of. The temple is situated in the heart of the village. Nature reveals herself in all her unhidden beauty in the rivers, forests and mountains which the temple is surrounded by.
Lord Subrahmanya is the main deity of Kukke Subrahmanya Temple. The main entrance of the temple lies to the east. The devotees will enter from west through main Gopuram and enter the inner quadrangle from the east. There is a pedestal in the centre of the sanctum. On the upper Dias there is the idol of Shree Subrahmanya and then the idol of Vasuki and little lower the idol of Shesha. While entering the inner quadrangle devotees should remove their shirts and banyans.
Kukke Subrahmanya is the abode of nagas. Here pooja is offered to lord Subrahmanya merged with serpent king Vasuki. Hence, believed to be the ultimate solace for salvation from any sort of naga doshas. Thousands of devotees come here from far and wide to offer Sarpa Samskara, Nagaprathishta, Ashlesha Bali & other rituals.
It is one of the famous Temple in South India It brings a lot of revenue to the govt or temple board But much is not spent on pilgrim' s convenience like a sky walk to avoid unnecessary traffic at the main road Roads are crowded with pilgrims blocking traffic Pilgrims walk bare foot on muddy road There is safety issue to with regard to pilgrims crossing the main road Why not to think of a skywalk build from parking area to Temple premises? Why not make more parking facilities with basic facilities like washrooms. Resting are etc
Have visited couple of times. Spiritual & blissful feeling you will get once reached. Temple surrounded by Kumar parvatha (small mountain). Auspicious days/famous for nagara panchami, shasti/Ashlesha Bali, Sarpa Samskara, Sarpa Dosha. Avoid night driving due to ghat roads. August - October auspicious months.
Powerful deity. No words to describe the holiness of the sanctum. Amid lush green forest with kumaraparvata looking like snake hood behind the temple. Everyday rains during monsoon. Holy river flows near temple. Free food is pretty tasty. Kids would love environment and the friendly elephant inside temple.
The serpent God comes here to take shelter under lord Subramanyam. Good place to clear some dhosha when present in horoscope. State government is mis using temple funds
I like going to temples for getting some peace of mind and a positive feeling to carry back. The most l liked here is the free food service for all.
I think the management should work on placing informations details publicly displayed which would guide them coming handy;, so that any devotees visiting the temple no need to go asking person to person about Darshanam timings, ticket counters.etc and also to verify what info.a person passed on is correct by asking a third person again.it becomes very difficult to find information with limited time at hand; if someone reaches to the temple and they plan to go directly for Darshanam not knowing the timings (open/close) and ticket counters (free or special.etc).
The main holy place for Hindus, the temple is located in between the mountains, the morning view was too good , there are many tourist places near the temple
Solo traveller's find it difficult to get rooms here, unless you know how to talk smartly. No temple free food on ekadashi but few eateries round temple area, most of them are average places/ taste so dont waste time searching around the area. Rooms starts from 300 during non festivals!
Divine Place. Devotees across states will take darshana of God everyday. Kumara parvata hills is next to temple most of the KP trekkers will start from here only. One of the powerful temple in Karnataka. Highest earning temple for karnataka govt too.
Situated in the western ghats, this is one of the many Greatest temples of Malnaad area. This Kukke Shree Subramanya temple the second son of Lord Maheswara, one of the TRIMURTI s of our Hinduism. Situated in Western Ghats and also called Dakshina Kannada is a place of sanctity which few places can boast of, the temple is surrounded by the nature, rivers, forests and mountains to reveal itself to the devotees for peace of mind! The temple which is dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya believed to be 5,000 years old temple is mentioned in Skanda Purana and other Hindu sacred scripts. A
