A pleasant trekking experience with lovely views of the surrounding greenery. It has a medium level of difficulty. The journey to the top might just take a few minutes. Those who are just starting out can require extra time if you take breaks. Amazing vistas of the natural world may be seen on every level. This hill has a long history with pandavas. It is the ideal first-time hike. It is best to see a sunrise.

Parking is available directly under the starting point. The small green arrows on the route might be easily missed, which can make things a little complicated. Since there are no water sources around, bring water bottles. Pandavapura, which is the closest town, is reachable in 10 minutes by automobile. You can also visit a lake that is just over the hill.

Very good place to visit near mysore and such a beautiful view from the top. Feels so peaceful

It's a nice trek for beginners! It takes about an hour to get to the top.
There's parking right below the starting point. The trail can get a little confusing as the small green arrows can be missed quite easily. Carry water bottles as there are no sources of water around. The nearest town is pandavapura which is about 10 minutes away by car.
There's also a lake just behind the hill where you can go boating.

There are 2 hills you can climb top of. It's amazing. Go to kere thonnur to swim too just 12km from here

ಪಾಂಡವರು ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಾಸದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಂತಿಬೆಟ್ಟ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಪುಷ್ಟಿಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಬಂಡೆಯೊಂದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಜೋಡಿಪಾದದ ಗುರುತು ಇದ್ದು ಇದನ್ನು ಭೀಮನ ಪಾದ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Am amazing destination for trekking. Intriguing landscape. Many references to Mahabharata in the sthala purana. Must visit.

Best place to hangout, trek for a day and enjoy the beautiful view of the nature. People from Bangalore and Mysore can plan for a day. 2 hills are there, can trek both which has different views. It's not a restricted place. You will enjoy with a group.

Take electrolytes if you are going after dawn.
If you miss the markers, trek could get difficult. I missed the route twice
I ended up climbing a huge rock on the way up instead of a easier foot path. Go with someone who know the route or in a group. I went alone because it’s more adventurous.

You can start trek in early morning in Dark.so you can reach top in morning to witness beautiful sunrise.

Kunti betta is worth the trek, but there is no proper public transport to reach here.
We started our journey from Bangalore, to reach kunti betta we had to climb a train and 2 buses.
The trek is full of adventurous, and I loved the trek very much.
Wrong side is we went in the month of April, and everything was fine till 11am, later on the heat started burning us.
Hence, it's best to visit this place in winter season.

Awesome trek to go in the night. Small one but can enjoy, if trekking at night carry small pieces of wood. Near to bengaluru. One day is enough to go & come back.

Good experience! People get confused about the trek path, some people think it's only a 10 minute trek while it actually takes around an hour. Do bring someone with you who has already been here so that you can easily find your away. Also for the first timers, the path can get incredibly confusing while coming down, so be aware and mark the way you came from. Wear pants, there are many thorns. Also keep a water bottle of 1ltr because you will need it, trust me. Try visiting on weekdays because there will be less people around.

Preferable time will be sunrise (6am) and sunset (6PM). Now pond and temples has been renovated, hope you will even more enjoy with off route.

Decent for night camping, night trek turns out to be amazing, amazing view points for sunrise. People who are coming for the first time should check out the place before starting the night trek

If u wanna to make your trek shorter there is a route from temple that allow u to connect to top of mountain with the flag. Or else to can start from temple where there is pond

Best place for a short trek, come in early morning or in evening to avoid sun. It'll take max 45 min to reach the top even of you are out of shape.

Real good place for a one day trip, along with a visit to a lake nearby-Thonnur lake.
The trek is a beginners trek, climb is around 45 mins at medium pace. Recommended for a night trek as the weather at this time is very pleasent and the trail isnt too dangerous.
There are green arrow markings on the rocks that lead to the peak, so it isn't that easy to lose your way either.
You can pitch tents on the peak under the stars nad wait out for the sunrise, which is extremely picturesque at this location, the noise of the peacocks in the morning as a bonus:)
Go here if you want some headspace from the city with some peace and amazing views!

My trekking experience started out with this place. Had been to this place in 2013 along with Wipro Colleagues. Back in those days it was not very well known and not crowded too. Had a fantastic time here. There is a big waterbody nearby which is a small drive and worth visiting. Both together can be a good one day trip. Photos are from 2013 and mobile images. Recent days people are posting very nice photos of this place.

No doubt for place. 4-5 km for trekking, sunrise everything is good, but localised public stole petrol from our 2 bikes and also cut petrol pipe, and petrol pump is 10-15 km away from the place. Too ridiculous. Be aware if you are doing bike trip.

It's a small trekking point but good one for a one day trek and recommend to trek before sunrise to enjoy the view of sunrise

Slightly tricky at certain points, but overall this is one among several easy treks in Karnataka. Primary motive of this trek would be to catch the sunrise. This would involve a trek starting at around 4 AM.
I was lucky enough to catch an absolutely mesmerizing sunrise.

Nice trekking point for beginners. Not try on rainy season. Early morning is the best time or after evening 4 PM

Amazing experience. U have to park vehicle down and climb the rocks to go up it is a difficult journey but adventurous go with a group of 5 to 6 to have fun

We went here in group of 7-8. It's a good night trek, no fun in going in morning timings.
But yes it up to you if have a nice group then you can have fun at anytime.

Such a wonderful place must visit once when you came to Pandavapura, nice scenary if you climb that. We are monthly once climb and see a sunrise it was very beautiful, if you want to climb contact me or the arrow directed to climb up

The trek was fun we had amazing time there although there were no proper directions but that's what trekking is ryt took some crazy pictures from the top had some miner scratches next day overall it was a very fun one day trip the trek is average if you wanna knkw the difficulty but that depends on how many treks you have went on

Getting a right path is difficult here in night. Follow the maps and try to go to the correct peak only otherwise you can get to the another two hills present there.

U can get their by midnight and do the camping.trekking is easier as u have arrow marks for your guidance.

Awesome trekking and tourist place. We had an awesome time at Kunti betta trekking. People who have never been to trekking can also try, the guides and organizer were very helpful during the entire journey. We didn't face any difficulty, in fact we had the best time. After all, place never matters.what really matters is the company, and I had an awesome friends with me.

Good trek. Definitely worth trekking for folks living in or near Bangalore. Carry tons of water with you and try to start before the sunrise to enjoy the sunrise from the top. Should take you 1-2 hours to reach the peak. Find the starting point can be a bit challenging though, or if you are looking for adventure plot a course of your own to the top. PS: It gets difficult if climbing during the dark.

The tiny Hill looks cute from far. As you reach it near it even looks cutest. The most cutest thing you can See. And also best place for the trekking Too. The atmosphere is also good and you can find some good spot to sit and chill. Make sure you go with a gang

Great weekend short trekking located around bangalore. This may be disappointing during day time but I did this trek in the night and it was good experience.

Nice and short weekend trek near Bangalore, easily reachable by vehicle. We started trekking at around 4: 30 in the morning and reached the top at around 5: 30 in unhurried pace to witness the sunset amidst the white clouds and cold breeze. The Trek isn't very hard if you have climbed a few places before. Even though it was dark when we went it wasn't so tough to manoeuvre around with help of mobile torch. If you're driving the roads are really nice with hardly any bad patches. Do carry water and snacks as there's no shop at the bottom of the hill.

This place is 130km from Bangalore.located in Mandya district. This is popular as night trek. Trek starts from temple and as you continue you have to pass through big stones and boulders. To reach top you will walk along the hill side and can observe markings (arrow marks) indicating route for reaching top. We have started from Bangalore at 11pm and reached trek starting point by 1pm. Started trek at 1.30pm and reached top by 3pm. There is no entrance fee and once you reach the top you will be amazed to be under blanket of stars. Can observe city lights at the far and stars very close to you. When we reached there it was only us on the top and no one were there.we had great chitchat till the sunrise. The best part of this trek is to have such beautiful sunrise. After sunrise you will be surprised to see all greenery around you.  

Tips:  
1. Should carry your own food & water.
2. Should carry winter/ rain coat in case of emergency. And it will be cold on the top of the hill during nights.  
3. Carry small hat as it gets sunny the next morning while you start descending.  
4. Carry garbage bag to place your food covers and used water bottles. Do not litter the place.  
5. Dont forget to carry torches if you plan for night trek.

Hindu Mythology gives an insight into the short stay of Pandavas in this region and their mother Kunti, who developed a fondness towards the hillocks. Hence, the town and the hill were named after them. From Bangalore and head for Kunti Betta base. This nearly 4 km (up and down)  Sunrise trek will sit in your memory for eternity

Beautiful place. Very calm and soothing. Not a super tuff trek as well. I found it to be pretty decent.
One thing to keep in mind is, there are 3 betta's or mountains. The one on left hand side from where you enter and from the Deva Sthan is Kunti Betta. On riggh hand side you have 2 mountains or hills. Kunti betta is a bit difficult to climb as was told by the locals there. I myself didnt climb though.
One more tip i got from locals is, there are arrows marked on the hills, in blue. Follow them. They will take you to the top. We took the wrong route couple of times. But when followed the arrows, did make it to the top easily.
