Really amazing place. Around 3kms of adventurous jeep ride.cost per jeep is 1200rs. 5 or 6 people can easily go in the jeep. Taking jeep is better than going on bike.

It was my first off road experience with my new xpulse in kyathanamakki. But I was sad, Bcz of the jeep and Other 4v cars
They totally ruined the road and It was rainy time. So I the time i went was also not perfect ig.

And there is a jeep facilities, But it rather costly, You can walk, It's only 2 to 3 Km

This place really deserve 5 star rating. Walk to hill top was really good l. Even my 5 year old daughter was able to climb the hill and enjoy fruit that we grabbed on the way.
This place is really beautiful. You should not miss this place if you are visiting arround this place.

You can take Jeep if you don't want to walk.

Moderate level trekking with 5-6 total distance.start early so that u can spend more time in the peak. There are couple of water streams flowing in the dense forest. So no need to worry about the cold water during the sunny days. Some place it's too steep, some place it's completely rock to climb. So wear a footwear with better grips. No guide js required for the trek as it's easy one. Jeeps are available to reach to the top, if you're adventure lover u can ride your off-road vehicle here but remember it's a road filled with rocks and steeps

The hill view is awesome, but you need to take Jeep if you want to have best off road experience. The Hill top gives you view of Kudremukha Range. To sum up I wass mesmerized by beauty and adventures ride.

You can reach this point by hiring a local jeep ONLY. It is a complete off road experience. A short uphill walk after reaching a point will bring you to this beautiful velvety expanse of mountains. It is a mesmerizing 360 degree view. There is an entry fee. Carry water as there is nothing available at the top. The drive is not for people who have health issues. The jeeps are available from the hotel kyatanamakki view point hotel (just at the fork road)

You can take your vehicle until there Kyatanamakki Hotel Point and At one place road is not in a good condition so need to be very careful while traveling in off roads, where you can hire a jeep to the view point, which costs around 2000.

Serene Atmosphere. Worth every single penny for visiting this point.
There is also hotel called Kyatanmakki hotel close to the view point. Breakfast (Akki Rotti and Poori) was good.
This is not the usual Akki Rotti available in Bengaluru.

Beautiful destination. Amazing place for nature lover. Come with family qnd friends and peace out. You cant come through your own vehicle unless you have a offroader. We parked our car there and took jeep ride. He took 2200rs for 7 of us and you need to pay 50 rs per head for ticket before entering. I have visted two times and before vehicles used to come till the end but now they have put a fence so from there you need to climb.

Surreal experience! Very beautiful place! Here we need to travel by jeep from base point to the peak as it is off-road. Bikers and other 4x4 can be taken here for off roading as there are no restrictions. From the main road, which is also the base point where we can park our vehicles and rent the jeep which was costing around Rs. 1000-1200 with no regard to number of people, don't know the maximum number of people in a jeep. There is a hotel named kyantanmakki view point hotel in the base point to help us know which is the starting point. After boarding jeep or bikers, we need to go about 500-700mts and take a right turn towards the off road (mud road) towards the peak. There is a forest check point where we need to pay the entrance fees, which was Rs. 300 for a jeep. I don't know about the bike and other vehicles. Then we can go to the peak. It doesnt have much off road during non rainy season. So amateurs can give a try. Rainy season may not help much. After about 2-3km we reach the parking point l, from there we need to walk towards the main peak Gali gudda or kyatanmakki point which is about 200mts. We can explore there and go to other peaks around and spend time there. Normally jeep driver would tell that there is a time limit of 45 mins, but in my case it wasn't, we took our sweet time and returned to the base point where we parked our vehicle. Best time in a day to visit is early morning or evening. Afternoon doesn't help much as scorching sun won't let us enjoy the view. Place opens at 6 am, I don't think forest officers would allow to go towards peak earlier than that. It is a day trip from Mangalore.

Had a wonderful experience, visit this place early morning and especially during winters. To reach the destination there are Jeeps and other 4×4 cars which costs around 1.2k to 1.5k, and it's worth it.

Awsome, but its offroad for 3km better to go in bike only if its an offroad bike, other normal bikes may not be taken in that road.

Awesome place. It is located 13km from Kalasa and the car can go till forest checkpost. The entry fee is 50rs per head and you'll have to hike for 2.5KM. The hike is very easy on a jeep track. If you want to experience Jeep ride, there is an option at the base. Usually they charge around 1K per jeep.
Best time to visit is immediately after mansoon during August to December. After January the place will start drying up. These are Feb 2022 photos.
For adventure bike riders this place is good. Last 2.5km jeep track will be fun to ride.

Please do maintain the place clean, jeeps will take u top with around 2000 rupees per jeep, but they are just for money. No plastics are taken back from tourists or jeep members. I would request people to please dont use plastic, if u do so then kindly take back to ur home. This is a place of many animals and not urz, if those animals come pee inside ur home will u be quite? U people beat until it die. So u people should die if u make this place dirty. Its an wonderful pleace where all our stress go out fly up above the clouds and never come back, but only good memories with peace of mind u take back.

Beautiful place. Shola grasslands. Approx. 4kms offroad walk till the top from the base. Jeeps available which charge Rs. 1200 for a total of upto 8 people.

Best place to watch Sunrise if you reach this place by 7. Almost like a mini trekking experience. Only problem here is the road from down to hill can be climbed only by jeeps. It's extremely hard to take two wheelers unless you're a pro rider. There are several spots on hill top. Carry your own food if you're traveling from far. There's only one shop where you get some local food below the hill. Also there's a ticket counter and they charge you 50Rs per person. Carry light luggage if your planning on climbing the hill by walk, also wear comfortable shoes as it is bit slippery due to lot of stones on the road. Perfect off road experience though!

5 star seems less for this place. Most of the people do not know this place and few who knows don't make time to see this beauty. Located exactly behind Horanadu Annapurneshwari Temple. It takes around 30 to 40 min from temple entrance to hill top. One has to take the 4X4 jeeps on site. We were 6 and they charged Rs. 2000, which is really reasonable and worthy. Time your visit as the scene changes every 1 hr or so. 6 AM to 6 PM is the time and only permitted jeeps from forest department are allowed. Do carry water and light snack to munch on top but do pick the litter you make on hilltop. Entry fee is charged separately at the foothills by the forest department. Ascend in jeep is an experience itself. Cameras not the ones to be missed.

A beautiful sunset point. Way to reach this place is thrilling. Hire a jeep and see jeep driver taking you to hill view through a mud road which is so small and literally hardly any road is there.

One of the best view points in Karnataka. The drive in a 4x4 jeep to the view point is something that should not be missed.

The view on a bright sunny and clear day is just outstanding. The way the Jeep drivers manoeuver on these roads is an experience by itself and something close to the drive to Kodachadri hills. There are no roads but still they make roads and drive so confidently.

The parking facilities at the view point for the jeeps are well maintained and the route and trek path to the view point is well maintained but challenging.

A fee of Rs. 50 is collected for all going towards the view point. An amount of about Rs. 4,000 is charged for the drive to Kyatanamakki hill view along with few other sight seeing places, but it’s worth every penny.

If you are around Hornadu, Kalasa or Kudremukh, please make it a point to visit Kyatanamakki view point. You will never regret your decision.

Visited this place in January. The view from above is beautiful and the area is free of any pollution and not overcrowded. It's best to visit very early morning. It's really worth a visit. The jeep ride uphill to the spot was rather a bumpy one, due to the mountain terrain, through a narrow and uneven path. Not at all recommended for people having back pain and better to avoid visiting during the monsoons.

Such a Beautiful place where you can watch either sunrise or sunset. It is situated at top of the mountain where you can go with a rented jeep only, you cannot drive there by urself. The road is very dangerous but the view is worth of it.

Pleasant view after a challenging off-road (No road!), It's 50 per head as entrance fee from checkpoint it's around 2.5kms of off-road, you can hire a jeep for 1200 (max 7 people) which is the better option than taking your own bike, you can take your bike till the top parking but very difficult and have to walk another 300mts to reach the top, it's also called gaali gudda because you feel a nice cold wind any time of the day.

My father in-law showed me this place, road to here is strictly 4x4, only jeep or bolero pick-up or similar vehicle can withstand it, i guess once you cross the off roading, its literally no man's land, kind of forest type, and you have multiple routes, and there are 4 to 5 trek hills, barely 1km trek, its kind of mandatory that you enable gps and save the route offline, this is really useful when you return, since its impossible to figure out the route, and we can easily get lost, only jio / bsnl works at this place, at the top most point, its really serene, you can see entire western ghats, would recommend to visit here, only during winter season, oct-dec.

Amazing view from this point plus we can cover gali gudda next to it. A must visit. Trek is moderate and if you don't want to trek the full length one can rent jeep too

This is a beautiful place as other peaks. But the final ride to destination requires a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There are government Jeep’s that can be hired otherwise as the road is really bad. But there are very few available so you have to make sure that you plan booking them before going there.

Breathtaking! The place has some of the most breathtaking views from the top. The journey can be bumpy, but once you clear the off-roading part, everything else seems to melt away from the top. Bring your own food and water as you will not find it there. You can also set up tents and stay under the night sky. Carry all camping essentials if you are planning to stay overnight. A must visit place.

Crazy place, one must visit. Only bike with good road clear will go over there, like himalya etc or else u better take a taxi. Its cost only 1200 for 10 people.

Awesome experience with off-roads. Was quite difficult but once we reached the top all the effort paid off. If taking bike to the top ensure road is not wet and never loose confidence over incidences. It’s difficult but not impossible. Also while stopping make sure you don’t block the way as the Jeeps and pickup trucks move a lot here especially during sunset and sunrise.

Breath taking view at top. One must stop vehicle below peak and go with available pick up facility using jeap.because it's very dangerous for bike riding and for car it's not at all possible

One of the nearby place to visit during the visit to hornadu temple better to go with two wheeler or suv or 4x4 (sedans and hatchback not recommended) to the peak avoid Monsoon and best to visit durin post monsoon get soothing feeling of lushgreen western ghats carry salt for leeches and please keep the place plastic free.

Even 4*4 heigh struggle to negotiate the servived mud track with bulltyres and will end up efforts with God's beautiful creation and to observe his fantasy by this kalythanamakki Hill top. An awsome place to visit near horanadu. The perfect seasson to visit this place is November to january as the whole scenary will be greenary and the cold wind feels like standing in the heven. The road is not suitable for cars as the road is little bit difficult to drive. The suv or jeep or thar will be best for the roads. The two wheeler can also be taken till the top of the hill. The sunrise looks awsome here in between the mountains.

Had an awesome experience offroading in Jeep to this beautiful place with 360 degrees view of the hills. Pictures just won't do justice to this place. We hired a Jeep from hornadu Temple. The distance of Jeep travel was around 8kms and we were charged Rs1500 for round trip. Initial 4kms the road was somewhat fine but the last 4 kms there was literally no road. Trekkers can trek the last 4kms. Once you reach the view point you'll feel that visiting this place despite of the bad road condition was totally worth it.

It would be an awesome experience only if you visit the hill station at the morning or evening the advantages are you could see the sunset or sunrise and it would be Misty like clouds floating over there it would be awesome at the the road you take to go there is really awesome reply completely off road to setup pickup over there to reach or else you could not take your own vehicle like a please don't take your Sedan or hatchback or there you could take a two wheeler also but it would be a adventurous trip to the top

You owe an adventure try Kyatanamakki Hill view.breath taking journey on a open top jeep. Refrain from trying your own bike/any other vehicle. The terrain is very tough to approach only skilled an experienced drivers of the same terrain can only make it. Once you are on top of the mountain you certainly forget all the effort you made to come to the place. It is around 30- 40 min drive from Kalasa. It is not the distance but terrain

Awesome place to spend time with nature. One of the best place to watch sunset. If going by own vehicle, one will need to park before the tar road ends as from there road is not in good condition and one may need 4wd to reach to the top. From this parking area one need to walk about 3km to reach top point. It's quite easy walk. During rainy season road condition will worsen due to mud. One can also hire jeeps from Kalasa or horanadu for certain amount.
