The LRP programme has been helping me a lot in my preparation. I am able to cover many areas in the stipulated time. Now I do have a belief that I can get through this examination which was not the case before I joined Legacy.

I was not a student here at first but I use to follow their current affairs, pib and quizzes which they post everyday. It was pretty good in-fact. After I joined the institute a couple of months ago I go to know that they prepare their content indigenously which is impressive as its of a very good quality.

The best thing I liked here is the greenery around the institute. When you study the whole day and you feel exhausted you can take a walk around the institute and feel the quietude.

As far I have seen the batch size is not more than 40 in Legacy IAS. This is really good as I was in a coaching institute in Delhi for some time which had a myriad of students in a single class. There is tranquility in and around the institute with a good paying guest facility making life more easier for the aspirants.

They have two buildings side by side which has ample number of classrooms and library which will provide us the flexibility to sit and study anywhere and it's been working for me so far. You can always clear the doubts from Pavan sir, Sagar Sir or Hitesh sir who are very good at what they do.

Because of the pandemic I chose to enroll for the online classes. But not all the time will I be able to get the assistance from the faculties during an online course. So I decided to pay a visit once in a week to clear my doubts. The best thing at Legacy is that many of the faculties are available all the time and if not any other faculty present there will be able to assist you with your doubts.

Personal details: Selected in UPPSC 2018 as Deputy SP. Interview of BPSC 64th CCE pending. Wrote mains of UPSC twice while studying in institute missing interview by few marks.

Review of institute:
I have been guided in my preparation by Pavan Sir, Sagar sir, Gaurav sir. They are experienced faculty members with rich experience in the subjects and matters which are needed to qualify the exam.

Pavan sir teaches Indian polity, art and culture and science and tech. He is very very good tecaher of pub ad optional (my optional is geo, based on the reviews of his optional classes by my friends). Interactive, plain teaching and one on one guidance with open arms for feedback is his quality I most admire.

Sagar sir is really good at economy (I was amazed that economy could be that simple) and environment subject. Along with that he takes classes for Ethics- which I found quite easy in his his classes- scored 100+ in GS4 in UPSC 2018 after attending his classes. He is also a wonderful faculty member for Psychology optional. I admire his friendliness, open to feedback and his assuring presence.

Gaurav sir's optional subject was geography so his command over Geography as GS subject is real good. Along with geography he takes classes for Disaster management and Internal security. A wonderful teacher with ever smiling face.

Institute:

Nice and calm environment, good library, 24*7 availability of teachers to help me out of any trouble. Batches are limited to 25-30 students which makes interaction with faculty very easy. This adds responsibility to aspirants shoulder as well because teacher knows you personally.
Nice infrastructure too.

Content and test series
Content is the king in this preparation. Legacy coaching's material is wonderful. Specially CA, ethics, polity, geography and art and culture. Regular tests take place. We can attempt the class based tests on institute application. Also, mains regular test whether class based, sectional or fill length and timely evaluation is always there. Scored 125.34 in 2018 and 114.67 in 2019 with prelims their test series and cinstant guidance.

Overall: A nice institute with even nicer faculty members. I owe you guys a lot after the effort you put upon me. May your blessings be upon me always.

Choosing the road to IAS is in itself a difficult decision to make but choosing the right institute is even more tedious.

Having chosen Legacy IAS Academy after browsing through several reviews of various institutes was the first right step taken for me.

Not being sure what 2020 has in store and though being skeptical about the way classes would be conducted during lockdown, I got my admissions done and the classes were started in May as promised.
Classes were initially held via Zoom but with too many technical difficulties in the platform and also taking into consideration feedback from the students, the institute immediately came up with their own platform (website and app) to make the learning process smoother.

The teaching methodology is very effective as the content is made very simple to understand. Being from a science background and having just studied Social Science for the sake of it during school, I was worried how I would cope up with the vast syllabus, but LIA has definitely made it easier for me. Lessons are taught in a combination of both PPT and board method which makes it easier to grasp concepts. Be it the current affairs or the analysis or PIBs shared, everything is summed up so well and given to us and it makes our life easier.

A new initiative called LRP program has been started to help students stay motivated throughout the learning process in which an in detail time table consisting of a time frame for basic reading, current affairs preparation, subject-wise and full length mock tests and also revision has been given. Any student following it promptly will definitely be ready to face the exam with confidence.

All feedbacks and suggestions are taken seriously and the institute tries to make an effort to make the online delivery of classes and materials easier as days go by.

In all, the institute has been trying to deliver every promise made during admissions.

Hi all.this is an honest review from someone who has spent some quality time in the institute.

I had joined the institute in its very initial phase, was infact always sceptical with how it would go about, but the institute never let us down. One such example is during the lockdown where everything was shut including the classes. Still, they managed to give us classes through some platforms like zoom. But after learning that it wasn't satisfying to the students, within few weeks they came up with their own online platform which really was fentastic and is still running awesome!

Well, amongst the rest of the institutes who only take students to fill the seats (to only give coaching), they aren't just the same. Although, they have a batch size of only 30, they make sure that every student is monitored well. And it's not just the classroom guidance you get, but also some gyan and motivation which they give it for free even at odd timings (I still remember calling them at around 9: 30pm when I was all down trying to figure out a strategy that suited me, and they still were there for me untill now where I'm all sorted)

And the classes are really really good. Especially economy! Infact, they also have an IRS officer who's teaching. And i cannot tell you how inspiring his classes are.
Not to forget Gaurav Sir, who handles geography. His enormous knowledge and experience in that subject is top notch. Meanwhile, their weekly current affairs class with apoorva mam covers entire current affairs that has happened in the past week and mam just gives justice to it! Meanwhile, history isn't a boring subject at all now, thanks to hithesh sir.

Besides all this, i still feel the institute can improve in certain areas where they can start some online mentoring and stuffs which would really help students to stay on track in these times. Plus, i feel they should work on their test series platform a bit so that its more user friendly for the students, atleast for the mains test series where the corrections are delayed. Hopefully, if they can rectify this, I guess, this will be an one stop solution for the entire UPSC preparation.

Hope, this review would help others like me who are still sceptical in finding a right institute to invest their money and time to get the right returns.

Test series: I found test series of both prelims and mains good. They provide test series free of charge along with every course, unlike others.
I have chosen this physical classroom instead of online classes as almost all online classes are fraud and taken by non-qualifier. I avoided big name coaching due to their 100+ class strength as then there will no personal attention and if you cleared the exam, they will take credit but if you not able to clear, then next year, they will not give you anything without paying full fees again.
So I chose this Legacy IAS over others. No doubt, Legacy IAS is the best coaching center in Bangalore. Thank you!

I was confused where I need to join for UPSC coaching. At last I picked up this institute after visiting them and finding them good. I met Pavan sir and he is encyclopedia of every subject/topic that UPSC expects from students. Sagar sir is known for having expertise in Indian economy and Psychology. Other faculties are equally good in their respective subjects.
Library: Yes, library facility is available. Legacy IAS is having proper library with all required books.

Basically I am from IT industry and I wanted to give a try for competitive exams and heard about the Legacy IAS academy from friend of mine. I interacted with faculty here and was convinced. I joined here and doing good. I would highly recommend this institute for beginners.

Have to say that Legacy IAS is by far the Best IAS Coaching institute in Bangalore. My preparation had halted at some point because of my ineptitude in Indian Economy. Fortunately, I met a friend of mine who had secured a rank in 2018. He suggested to me to visit LIA and there I came across Sagar sir, who just made Indian Economy a cake walk for me. Other faculties pitched in too, and yeah infrastructure is an absolute plus.

Excellent Coaching when it comes to Civil Services Preparation. They have a small group of students to handle. I was a part of that group and had been to the interview in 2016. The ethics class is the Best! I am a huge fan of Sagar sir’s classes because he is so informative and interesting! He takes Economy also. Even Gaurav sir’s geography classes are very detailed. Not only do they finish the syllabus of static portions in time, but they also give ample amount of time for tests, test analysis, revisions and current affairs analysis. If you miss the test series here you are missing out big time, because a significant number of questions in the mains and prelims of actual exams are very similar to the ones in the test series here.
