Less resources and expect less queue in the counters if they had required resources. 10th to 25th every month is the window for pre closure loan settlement.

Went here to collect the documents. If we take all the documents that they have mentioned in the email along with the date on which they gave the appointment, the process is hassle free and got completed quite fast.
Parking: Car is a strict no-no. I am not sure if there is any paid parking nearby but atleast in front of office there is no way to park a car. There is limited 2-wheeler parking available.

1. The organisation has to grow up to embrace technology and stop the old processes in each and every activity.
2. Only 2 employees attend to all the foreclosure related queries at the branch. One needs to plan an entire day of waiting to get any activity done.
3. Why can't they accept online prepayment. Even as part of foreclosures process one needs to bring Demand draft and not cheque is lao not sufficient.
Overall the experience takes you back few decades.

We went to foreclose our loan. Process was hassle-free. Staff are quick & helpful.
Only problem is parking and the office is quite small. Becomes very difficult when crowded.
Roads are one way. Difficult for 4 wheelers. Plan accordingly.

They say one good person is enough in any organisation. Here also we have one sincere and best person handling queries and quick resolution. Thank you Ratna mam for all your help and getting my query resolved.

The worst services ever seen from LIC HFL. The cheque of 10lks is cleared and no acknowledgements are shared even after several follow ups. No customer care service, the numbers which are updated on portal is switched off all the time.very very Poor response. I suggest not to go for LIC HFL

Visited related to home loan prepayment. Did not find any issue in locating the place with help of map. The office is very small to accommodate 15, -20 visitor. Not enough space to seat. Parking is another problem. If bike then some space available, but difficult for cars. Anyway some waiting time due to a single counter and few people's in queue.

Very bad experience, things are manual everything, in order to get the documents we need to pay cash, no online mode of pay, Very late services

Staff hesitate to speak kannada and they find lazy to explain loan statement, irresponsible staff.

Also we need to pay extra fee for collecting our own documents, If we question for it, they say it's already mentioned in the agreement.

We sometimes while in the process of loan miss to read points correctly and that's how people are menting money even after we paying committed rate of intrest.

Perhaps we don have online services to repay loan or to close it.

Office space is very congested and small with huge crowd. Not disciplined, people are still in government sector mindset.

Can anyone pls share the correct process and steps to close the Home loan account? So far not getting right info.

There are two counters

For loan repayment, please get the quote from any one counter by telling them the loan number. Once the quotation is received, the same amount is the cheque to be submitted to the other counter. Once the cheque is submitted, get the receipt and submit it to the 2nd counter. After that, they will give the date for document collection.

The entire thing can be done in one day.

It actually closes at 3.30. Never take loan with Lic. It’s like going to government hospital

Been to LIC HFL office on Hayes Road. They are very professional, everything worked seamlessly. Documents were kept ready as per the appointment. No waiting time, finished document collection in 15 mins.

For home loan customers, to repay the loan, need to pay via Cheque or DD, dated same day on visit to this Branch. Only this Branch receives in Bangalore.

Customer care phone number DOES NOT WORK. Went to the office directly hoping for a resolution. Payment towards closure of Loan is to be made between 10th to 25th ONLY. This information is not easily available on their website. It seems they care little for the lost time of their customers. I suspect they do their own thumb twiddling inside office. Near Bishop Cotton Girls School. From North Bangalore you can only access it from Victoria road. No parking space close by. Best to take a cab/auto. (edited)

Do not take loans from this.they don't have online repayment.they never reduce the intrest for a floating loan.one has to visit the branch for every small thing. Worst Housing Finance that India would ever see, They have no comman sense, they ask for documents, when submitted they ask us to wait for hours, Staff here are very unprofessional, So pathetic that Watchemens are collecting and verifying the documents, The receptionists are out of world Coz' they are immersed in every other work that is out of the purview of reception. Totally, These people are ruining the LIC, My sincere request is Please fire these useless staff members and recruit some good professionals, they are still in government mindset, Denying my request would all result in another BSNL.

I can't even give one start.
From 3 months we are following up on our loan status. Agent is not responding properly and Branch people are saying without agent they can't tell anything.
We are not sure who is responsible person in LIC.
We are really disappointed.
Don't go for LIC.

Contrary to the reviews mentioning about slow processing and inefficient staff, I had a pleasant experience in this branch. They completed the process within half an hour which included wait time as well, the actual process took less than 5 mins. Only issue is there is no parking space for 4 wheelers.

Service doesn't take much time however the staff in the servicing department need to be trained on how to interact with customers. Their attitude is rude and deal with lot of attitude

Lunch hours 13.30 to 14.15, avoid reaching in this time as you have to wait outside.

Hayes Road is one way. Plan the entry way before leaving.

Parking - 2wheeler parking can be managed in the front of LICHFL (max 10 two wheeler) or paid parking available little below down for both 2 & 4 wheeler.
Tariff. Rs. 20/Hr for 2 wheeler and Rs. 50/Hr for 4 wheeler.

Staffs are ok. Does not give complete information at once.

For partial payment goto cash counter directly.

For full closure of loan account 1st goto the staff infront of Main door and then to cash counter.

Even though complete loan is cleared, original documents won't be given on the same day. As per staff it will be given after one month.

We visited to the office yesterday to collect our documents after closure of loan. Ms Meenakshi and her Team members Ms Archana and Ms Chaitali had kept all the papers ready. Our job was completed expeditiously. They were very courteous. Thank you so much.

Staff here are responsive and polite. But the place is always crowded. Try to reach here after lunch. Mornings are crowded and no parking available in the premises. They could have introduced token system to mange the crowd better and improve the overall experience.

Most of the reviews and frustrations shared by everyone here are true.
In this digital world, ALL of their services are highly outdated. High interest ROI compared to other banks. LIC employees updated incorrect information and I had to go to bank, stand in queue, get yelled by security, give them hand-filled application form, post which they updated correct info after a week. No option to correct the information in website. Agents don't answer phone for any loan related query.
Not to forget their unhygienic offices and unorganised and outdated ways of treating customers.
Changed the bank finally and couldn't be happier to leave LIC HFL. I really would not recommend this bank for any loans.

Backend office for loan closures and document collection. Its crowded always, so better to reach before 10. If required documents are there, processing will be done quick, but the staff will not /don't have time for that extra mile to help customer. They respond well to emails.
There is a pay and park opposite to the building little bit ahead. Its not that big and can fillup quick, hence would recommend to park somewhere nearby and catch an auto.

This HFL is a black mark to LIC.
You must visit this office ONLY if you wish to complete formalities concerning loan closure/ take over from other lenders, irrespective of where your home branch is located within Bangalore region.

Space in this office they have to handle customer requests is too small and you will often see long ques with frustrated customers.

Process they have here is all manual and outdated. There are only limited options available in online portal.

Don't be surprised if you have to visit here multiple times for your specific need.

Worst service ever. Had to wait for more than 4 hours to get my documents. You are treated like a beggar. You need to stand in line outside the office. Don't understand why they can't hire more people to avoid rush hour and ensure customers time and money is valued.

Thoroughly unprofessional. They will ask the same set of documents over and over endlessly. One of their lawyers will say all done and clear another one will come along and make a fresh request for another set of documents. If you walk into their office, it is like playing snake and ladders. You will climb a few ladders and will bitten by a few snakes to reach the same place from where you began. Frustrating!

Having looked into several bad reviews, we were quite worried on what would be the experience, but to our surprise we had an amazing experience. Collection of documents was smooth, well behaved staff, polite behaviour, and very little time taken. Note: please take all photocopies of documents, reach little early to avoid crowd, there no in parking nearby.

Worst customer service. Including the security, everyone who works in this building has way too much audacity. They’ve forgotten words like empathy and sympathy. We’ve been asked to sit on the footpath to collect the documents. We’re asked to wait for 1.5 months after the final payment is made and then come here and wait for another 2 hours. They are not following covid protocol.it was a huge crowd in front of the office. They are making customers to wait indefinitely. There is no value for customers time.

Car parking not available. I used 'Namma Bengaluru Smart Parking' app, it shows real time availability of parking spaces in St. Marks/Vittal Mallya road which is around 6 minutes walking distance from this LICHFL office. I feel office is very small compared to the customer base it serves. It seems they don't want customers and make them wait like beggers outside their office. Better avoid LICHFL

Very Very unprofessional organisation. I have closed all my loan account with them today. I suffered big time due to their unprofessional attitude. Do not take loan at least from this organisation.

One of the worst places to deal with banking, DO NOT fall prey for their loans. Highly non professional staff including their manager who can ONALY and ONLY think from their side. They give you a feeling as if they are doing some charity work and you are there to receive it.
The attitude is the worst no one is there to listen to any genuine hue and cry you make. Even after you repay the loan to the final penny, they make you wait for months together to collect your originals. Their interest rates are the worst and would never care of the existing customers. LICHFL Office has been one of the worst bank. They never attend phones, websites is not accurately updated. Horrible experience and such a huge loss for a home loan customer at LICHFL. Pathetic net banking services, basic facility to make pre-payment is not available. Worst interest rates are not updated as per market rate and interest is charged at higher interest rates. For change of ROI as per Market, every Month a form needs to be submitted at their office. In a digital world, this is such a ridiculous process.

Absolutely pathetic service. Their phones doesn’t work and their email responses are slow.

There is this Ms. Archana who doesn’t respond at all despite writing multiple emails to her. Meenakshi of LICHFL is the only one who responds to emails.

Never ever recommend anyone for a loan with LICHFL. They increase the rate after the fixed period and don’t reduce when interest rates go down. Getting a loan moved out is cumbersome and they make it so difficult that you rather stay. Absolutely pathetic service.

Poor service, confuse customers and make money, never ever should go to this company for anything.

2nd 4th saturday are holidays

This place has 2 wheeler parking besides the road. Actually I went to this place on 1st Saturday and realized that 1st and 3rd Saturday is holiday here.

This is worst place to go - recently visited this place to collect my home load documents. Employees behave very rudely - there is no proper process. Customers are asked to wait without proper timing and response. This office doesn't have parking space - there is no space to stand out side. They don't allow you in till they call your name. I felt like beggar standing in line for meal.

This is the place you knowing go there to get harassed. Best place to avoid if possible.

Most important thing is never ever get load from LICHF. I am not dealing with this organization for rest of my life (Not even in my dreams).

Nonsense. People do not have the basic ethic to pick the customer call and respond. Not seen any bloody company like this.

Worst Customer support. I have dropped dozens of email to lic housing to schedule an appointment to collect the documents. 15 days gone. Didn't receive any acknowledgement nor appointment. No response to mails and calls. Shame on you. Worst experience with LIC HFL. Will not encourage this at any more in future.

Service is fast and good, they maintain time always so we need to be available intime there. If you have all the documents available with you then no issues, work will be accomplished faster. Overall all services offered by LIC are expensive, they charge for many transactions except the statements.

The staff is hard working and good but the institution in itself is terrible. There is no streamlining of the process and the procedures are like age old. No automated ticketing system.
Especially during the pandemic, for collecting documents, people are supposed to wait outside in the sun and the place is too small for the volume it handles.

Pathetic service by LIC HFL, Hayes and JP Nagar branch. I think government employees are much better than these people at least they share information well. Have no courtesy towards their customers specially when you go there for account closure.

There had been many incidents have happened in my case where no proper update/information shared, always partial information had given. Due to which I had to visit multiple times in different branches.

I had no other options otherwise I would have never thought of having an account with LIC HFL. Thank god I am changing it to some other bank finally.

One of the recent incident, I got the latest outstanding letter from them where there were no strict/clear notification about the closure cheque amount and cheque acceptance timings. When you reach there with your closure cheque they would come up with some new information. Why they do not mention in the outstanding letter very clearly? If they want to onboard a new customer they would call and share information every now and then and in detail, and when you close your account they show their actual behaviour.

I request the concern person here to please look into these issues. At least have some courtesy towards your customers.

The employees are really helpful and give clear cut solutions the problems. Was really happy with the service.

These people neither respond to phone calls nor emails, service is very pethatic, one never see this kind of worst service anywhere else.

Best services from staff and all sort of complaints will be solved in this head office.

Fast processing, quick approvals of loans. Attractive interest rates for fixed deposits.branches are available most of the places it's cover entire Bangalore.

Things move faster in this particular Branch and Good Cooperation from staff.
I feel LICHFL is most preferred organisation to get Home Loans

My experience has been very pathetic. First, I opted for another bank to take over my home loan from LIC. While doing so, they give me a no due certificate and hand over all documents to the bank. However a EMI kept being charged into my bank account. I tried to get to the cause of the issue.their online portal doesn't show open loans. Their office doesn't help trace any associated loans. Finally, when I went to their office they were able to give me a loan which was still active and on asking why this was pending when the loan take over process was done two years ago, I got a shocking answer. " Could have happened by oversight". Today, I go to their office to pay off the loan, basis the status on the net which says "Open", and I find the office closed and the Watchman rudely shooing us away.
If only our finance minister could bring some level of dignity and professionalism in services provided by such agencies.

Finally when I foreclosed my loan, the cheque they gave for returning extra payment made has bounced. And there is no response either.

One of the worst service I ever seen in financial sector.i have been trying to reach Outer ring road office no one is answering call and I also tried reach branch manager Mr Venkat He not even answered call from last 40 days. I don't know how this kind of people are still exist in mechanical world. Let me wait for one more day

People here are very helpful. This is the branch where you can pay the money to your housing loan principal, if the loan is from LIC housing finance. Parking can be a concern at times. The location is very much accessible from any part of the city since it is located in heart of the city.

Just to inform this LIC Housing office will be close on every first and third Saturday of every month
