Mahathobhara Sri Mahishamardini Temple, Neelavara ಮಹತೋಭಾರ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಿಷಮರ್ದಿನೀ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ, ನೀಲಾವರ

Beautiful temple which is on the banks of Sita River. Very attractive idol of Goddess Mahishamardini. Ganapathi and Kalabhairava sannidhana is in the precinct. Pachamikan is nearby. Neelavar Goshale is in the vicinity.

Very divine experience. Even Panchami Kan n Goshala can be planned together. Food is very delicious also

Located near the River bank. One of the oldest temple, surrounded with greeneries. Calm environment. Anna prasadam is excellent.

The ambience of this temple creates a spiritual for everyone to experience. Neat and tidy environment surrounding the main garbhagraha. Also there is a small temple of Virabhadra, where the statue is made out of pure chandan wood. This temple is a place to visit if you are travelling nearby Udupi

Visiting the temple was truly immersive and enriching experience. The intricate architecture and vibrant colours of the temple were a feast for eyes, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

Such a beautiful and devine place. River Sita is flowing beside the temple. There is a Yatri Nivas for stay and daily serve prasada for the devotees in Manasvini Anna Chatra. Godess bless you all.

ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯ ತುಂಬ ಹಳೆಯ ಕಾಲದ್ದು. ಹಾಗೂ ಆ ದೇವಿಯ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಇದೆ. ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಜನ ಹೋದರೂ ಅನ್ನಸಂತರ್ಪಣೆ ಇದೆ.

Very peaceful place.

The tradition/culture of asking your nakshatra and rashi before praying to god for any of the sevas that you want to offer is maintained. This I really liked about.

Not much rush, one will find peace and you get the positive vibes.

Temple looks more beautiful and Devine post renovation.

Temple premises are neat and clean.

Ample parking space available.
Daily Anna Prasadam will be there.

Please note, now mahapoojaa is at 12pm instead of 12.30pm.

Also, Panchami kaan (naga sannidi) renovation is planned, contributions are accepted.

Good temple but very diffult to reach if you don't have a hired taxi or own vehicle.difficult to get bus or Rickshaw

Great deity at this temple amidst green forest, well maintained by dedicated guru and his disciples. You will find inner peace at this spiritual abode. With Bhajan and pooja done with utmost devotion everyday. All visitors are welcome here.

There is just something really serene about this place. You can feel the Devine feeling right when you step inside. I will never forget the first time I visited this temple it instantly calmed me down. Now I make sure to visit whenever I get free time.i hope it stays the same and people who visit keep maintaining the cleanliness and not ruin the beautiful atmosphere here.

Temple complex was recently renovated. Ambience is very pleasing and the place is well maintained.

The best temple, which is located near Brahmavar. It is towards Hebri - Agumbe State Highway. A must visit temple when you are in Udupi/ Brahmavar or near by!

This lord is my manedevra temple. Iam always goto visit this temple to conduct seva. This place is very peaceful area covered by (greenery) trees & infrount of this Seetha river is flowing. This river water is very useful to skin problems.

Mahishamardhini temple Neelavara is a beautiful temple place to visit near Udupi. It's adjacent to Seetha river in one side. Recently renovated.

Well maintained temple. Has many stalls & stores around it. Hotels are also there with lodge. Only setback is the lack of clean & big toilets. The temple also runs by a river called sita. You must also visit the Naga god separately near the river banks which is amazing.

A wonderful Devi temple known to be very powerful. The location is just awesome, as it is right in the middle of a forest, next to a river. Plenty of deities come here everyday, but still is calm and peaceful. The temple opens between 8am to 8pm, and in between closes at around 1pm and will only be open after 4pm. They serve tasty food on banana leaf after the mahapooja at noon. This temple is around half an hour away from Brahmavara bustop. There are frequent city buses to take you here. Very narrow lanes leading to this temple however. A must visit temple if you are passing through Brahmavara.

Divine feeling. Compared to earlier years lot of improvement undertaken. Bus fecility is very good. Still additional mode of transport for the devotees is required

Temple is good.but no separate place for annaprasadam. No equality in annaprasadam as some important people for management would be seated in table and chairs but remaining everybody in floor.they clean the floor but surrounding is not that good to have an annaprasadam.
