I Googled "fish meal for lunch" and discovered Mahesh Lunch Home.
I ordered Fish Meals Combo and I asked them to fry the fish without coating it in rawa, and they prepared it just the way I wanted. The taste was incredibly delicious, especially the fish fry without rawa. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.
The food, taste, and quantity are all excellent, though it is a bit pricey. But it's definitely worth it for the delicious taste.
The fish we ordered was not very fresh. The crabs were filled with garlic and coconut filling that we could get the taste of crab meat. The garlic mixture should be avoided in the dish. The squids were like rubber, over cooked. Here too lot of garlic was added. No favour of squids. The Mahesh prawn biryani was ok. The prawns were nice and fresh and juicy. But the biryani flavour was missing. The tender coconut dessert was good.
There is valet parking. The ambience is good. Service was good. But I feel the person taking the orders should guide the customer as to what is there fresh and what is their speciality and later ask for the customers to decide and order.
We had travelled a long way to enjoy some good fish and manglorean meal but we were disappointed. Being a Goan was expecting a good manglorean meal. Only if the person taking the order had to guide us through the menu
Ah, this restaurant is like the rebellious teenager of the dining world, confidently sneaking that daring, unauthorized service charge onto your bill and when we kindly pointed it out, the waiter confirmed that they were well aware of the High Court that the service charge cannot be levied by restaurants!
On a positive note, the restaurant offers valet parking, which is convenient, especially in a crowded area. The ambiance is also quite nice, creating a pleasant atmosphere for diners.
However, where the restaurant fell short was in the quality of the food. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, the food did not meet them. The seafood dish I ordered tasted overwhelmingly of chili, with very little coconut milk added. It was far from the delightful and flavorful seafood I had hoped for.
In all, it didn't quite live up to its hype. I won't be planning my next visit anytime soon, that's for sure!
Definitely hyped. Did not meet the expectations. The prices were exorbitant and the quantity was way too little. The taste was ok. The service was bad and they served us cold food. Unfortunately Mahesh lunch home did not keep up to its reputation.
Hopless service.staff are very rude.food is pathetic.please visit some other good restaurants instead of wasting money here.sheety lunch home, manglore pearl or karavalli
We have ordered boneless crabs, Korean sauce squid and butter garlic sauce tiger prawns. Except crabs rest are just average. Boneless crabs may be 4/5. But as per the hype, it's not upto that mark. Value for money is 2/5.
Visited the place on a weekend, the place was crowded and had to wait for around thirty minutes. The ambience is really nice. The sea food was very tasty, we have tried pomfret tawa fry. The biryani was ok. Tali was not available on weekends.
It's famous for seafood and it's totally worth the hype.
We tried crab.it cost around 2k and they will mention it prior to cooking. As they will demonstrate the live crab beforehand. Also they offer curry tasting so you can choose what gravy you want. We opted for chicken gravy less spicy one and it was tasty. We opted for ghee roast for crab. It's a must try.we three people completed the whole! Well cooked properly spiced and no health issues after consuming. Parota was also good with chicken gravy
Service was not satisfactory They took a lot of time to respond to our request and orders Staffs are confused Doesn't know what was ordered from which table
