Local jeep drivers gave very bad experience. The guy named Jeevan is a fraud. He charged Rs 500 per head from our 6 members group and just left us after the entrance. His jeep was in so bad condition that it was just about to make an accident. On God's grace, we survived.

Remember, any car can go up to the entrance. And from there, actual jeep cost is Rs 1800/ for up and down (as per January, 2024). But, even booked cab drivers try to drop you far away and tell you to book jeep with Rs 500/ per head for their own commission.

Please avoid this place to visit. Way to reach peak is not in good condition. You will feel all dusty there and also sight view is not as such good compared to price they charge. I will recommend Raja’s seat to have a better natural view than this view. Please save time and money by not visiting this place at all.

Yogish the most danger man money minded cheater. Looking at this reviews even I had booked ride for Mandalpatti Coorg Jeep Safari with same person Yogish initially he said 2500 than next time he said 3000 because of Dussehra, again he charged 500 for entry and 1500 extra for waterfalls. Keeping this a side we taught of having our own transport, but he insisted saying he will provide good service vehicle with experience driver for 4-day trip saying 20000.believing him I paid advance for the trip 4 adults and 4 children (2 family's). From Day-1 the driver seemed more interested in places offering him commissions from hotels and tourist spots. From day-2 evening torcher stated driver (Pradeep) was saying vehicle was break down and went for other rent. Whole evening, we went by walk and Auto. Day 3 morning we went to Mandalpatti early morning by Jeep with extra charges as mentioned above. No vehicle service was provided saying Madikeri is closed we went by walk but when we went out, we found all vehicles are moving, as our children are small, I informed yogish and showed him moving vehicles and asked him to bring the vehicle but still then driver and yogish pretended as if he is shunting but no service was provided informed the same to the travel's vehicle owner Babu, we lost one day local visit and they charged 5000. Day-4.we were returning to Mysore because of night issue Driver has not knocked our bags properly on vehicle stand on top all our luggage fell in the middle while driving and our trolley bags were broken. Because of rash driving we missed two dangerous accidents by god’s grace we are safe. Day-5 we stayed extra 1 Day.he said he will arrange new driver and vehicle that driver was good, we visited Mysore local, and we are about to catch our train @ 3.00 PM there comes twist again Yogish has taken money from me, But he has not paid to Babu Travel’s owner. They took us to travels office and asked us to pay the money as we were getting late without any choice, I paid him Amount as instructed by Yogish that he will refund my one-day amount. We were getting late Upon anger on us the driver dropped at platform number 6 saying this is only Platform No. 1 though we asked him to drop at Platform No. 1. Finally, we got the running train went running with our children to Platform No. 1, it was a very bad experience in my life because of this money minded cheater Yogish. We lost our money and couldn't vist any places properly and my relative lost faith on me because of this guy Yogish. Still he has not refunded our amount and he is not picking our calls and not replying our messes. Request everyone and mostly people coming from various regions be care full of this kind of frauds. I am escalating this issue to Karnataka government as well.

Working going this location. Jeep Safari costs 2.5 k initially you feel over priced but after the trip you feel worth bcz of off-road it is. Until some distance you go by own car but not recommended. Bike can go till checkpost. After checkpost 5 km you have to walk if it own vehicle.

Each jeep costs 2500, so if you go with gang, amount gets reduced.
Off-road drive for 20 mins is a different experience altogether.
Best time to visit is morning sunrise or evening sunset
Time to avoid- Afternoon time/especially during lunch hours.

My first experience in off-roading & it was great! I would never forget this, the driver was good.we went at 4 in the morning.we got a bit scared at first as it was very dark outside & there weren't any other vehicles to be seen, but that was just our thinking! The experience was great.the viewpoint was just too good!

Very dominated by those people and no scope for local Karnataka people to enter. Very cunning and demands highest rate. This should be taken up by govt authority and assign contract to Karnataka people who knows local language and carried local tradition

It was a good experience going on the jeep, was a site to definately behold as we did reach the spot. We got picked up around 5 in the morning and we did reach the place at around 6: 20. The drive and experience of off roading was something to remember definitely. Overall a good experience

You can't take you own vehicle, you can park it at the jeep point.

One of the best spots in Madikeri to visit. Waking up early and going seemed worth it after visiting. The drive was thrilling. Must book a jeep in advance. Taking your own vehicle till mid way might not be a good option.

Local jeep drivers loot people after completing the trip, they lied and charged unnecessary amount after the trip. We had pretty bad experience. Someone planning to do the ride in share should be able to communicate in Kannada to save themselves from getting robbed by local jeep drivers.

The place is so nice and best experience, while going to the spot please carry sweaters and face masks to protect from cold waves. Best time is early in the morning only, Eve sunset also nyc here. To go to the place first we need to hire one Jeep, it cost around 2500 and based on the demand it will vary. The route was to horrible and it is off road. People who are having vomits while journey are suggested to take some precautions before going. Due to the off road journey, I felt full of body pains and cold fever also with that cool waves. Mainly the sunrise scene was fabulous

We had a bad experience with this Jeep service. Last week we had a trip to Coorg and availed this Jeep safari service. The Jeep was not at all in good condition and not suitable for ride. The owner is just harassing tourist and asking for extra money. They are charging double price compare to other vehicles. The owner was asking extra money for pickup from hotel though our hotel was on the way to the view point. At the time of booking they assured us for a free pickup. Prior to booking they will talk nicely and try to be supportive but once booked they will charge you extra and at that place a night before the journey you don’t have any option left. Please try to avoid such service if you want to have peaceful journey otherwise will end up in a serious argument with the owner. These guys shamelessly cheating tourists and damaging the reputation of the place.

Good experience. Smooth process. Polite drivers
The process was easy, just a phone call for booking and they called back to confirm. Half of payment was done in advance the day before and remaining just before the trek.
We were a couple and they grouped other couples with us and singles in a different Jeep.
Trek was arranged early morning so that we can see the sunrise, however weather was against us.
They also offered to go to a waterfall for extra 150 per head.

The jeep safari is the best must go once in lifetime but not recommended to people who have bad back as there will be humps and mountain road, best time to visit during winter time

Very nice calm and knowledgeable person. Yogish, who took us for the jeep safari, terrain is extremely off-road still he managed nicely to keep us safe and gave ample time to enjoy the beauty of mandalpatti safari.

Great experience overall - it’s worth the money. Enjoyed the off road jeep ride with friendly driver. Once you reach the peak.the view point is very beautiful and misty walk to enjoy. You can also stop over for Maggie and cup of coffee while returning. It’s simply superb. Have fun!
