Reasonable best stay near Mudigere. You'll get a fantastic view of the tea estate on the way to this stay. Best place to chill with friends and family. Don't expect any luxury facilities. Nature itself is a luxury experience here. Ballarayanadurga fort and Rani Jhari view points are near to this place

It is not very easy to drive up to the home stay from the tarred road at Kelagur Tea Point due o improper directions by the host. The room was very small, bathroom had leaking taps, was provided with a pice of soap which can't be any smaller. The hospitality extended by the hostess was the only positive aspect of our stay. Instead of spending three nights as we had planned before travelling, we had to move out to a different home stay near Mudigere (Hidden Valley) which provided us a room that had lot more space, provided proper food, etc.

In short, it was not a pleasant experience to have stayed in Meghagiri Home Stay.

Beautiful place surrounded by mountains. You can enjoy great food, take in all the amazing views and engulf yourself in the soothing forest/nature sounds. The host, Vinanthi is very humble and sweet. Rooms are clean.
But i feel its slightly expensive. We had 1 room, with 4 beds for 4 people, dinner for 4 people and breakfast for 4 people, and a bottle of home made wine. Total price was Rs. 10,000 for 4 people for a night.

Was Here for a 1 night weekend stay for 3. It was an amazing experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The toilets are clean too. Loved having the authentic Food and amazed by the warm hospitality.looking forward to coming back again for the chill and fun.

Beautiful with nature homestay, we felt has if we are in our home, good hospitality, very good home made food, rooms are neat and clean.
Nearby surrounding area very good coffee and tea plantation. We almost felt like family. Given chance will definitely re visit this place.

Good food and atmosphere, owner is very helpful, but difficult to search, lost way while searching

We were a group of three on bikes and visited this place in the month of February, 2021. The property is about 2kms off the main road. The ride to the homestay among the tea estates was picturesque. You will end up stopping your vehicle every now and then for photographs.

On arrival at the property at around 6: 00 PM, our host provided sanitizers and were welcomed with cups of tea and coffee. The rooms were humble and homely. The host family were warm and courteous. They asked us if we had any special request for the dinner. Since one among the three of us was an "eggitrian" they had to tailor the dinner. Each room here can be occupied by three people comfortably. The rooms were hygienic and pleasant. The host also setup a campfire which was much necessary for the cold evenings. We had our dinner around the campfire drowned in our stories.

Fastforward to next morning: The view from the rooms was stunning. The property is in the middle of their estate with a beautiful garden in front and cloudy mountains as the backdrop. Also if you are lucky you will see a peacock or a peahen roaming around the property. After our walk around the estate we had breakfast and visited nearby tea factory and RaniJhari view point. On our return to the homestay we had lunch and set out back onto the roads continuing our journey to next location.

One will need two nights of stay to cover all the places in this area leisurely.

Great food, beautiful view, good hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to revisit soon. All the meals were super tasty and the hosts took very good care of us. We loved spending a lazy day enjoying the rainfall and periodically getting pampered with good food.

Good food with great view, meghagiri home stay is awesome stay for relaxing vacation. I saw a flying peacock there, have never seen such site:)

Stayed here when we went for Bandaje trek with PTU (Plan The Unplanned). Great place with great view, excellent hospitality, great food (We had bamboo shoot curry, Colocasia leaves curry Pundi (Kadabu) etc). They also sell coffee powder and pepper.

We stayed at Megha Giri Home stay, in the Mid July 2021, quite a new construction.

Rooms - Large and clean. Each room can accommodate between 2 - 4 people.
Bathrooms - clean and hygienic with continuous hot water supply

View - Amazing hill view from the home stay overlooking some parts of the kelagur tea estate as well. Absolutely serene, we tend to forget everything else around us. Constant chirping of birds is blissfull, a bird watchers paradise. It is surrounded by Arecanut, coffee and pepper plantation all around. Dense biodiversity with rich flora and fauna.
This was a time with continuous rains, hence watch out for leeches.

Food: Simple and yet tasty homemade malnad style food with vegetarian and Non vegetarian options.

Also they made food as per certain specifications that I had requested (food without onion and garlic)

I am proud of myself, to be able to find this place.

About the Location, No Doubt it's a Heaven! But the Person who runs it is quite difficult to handle. He tries to interfere in Our Conversation and Start describing himself. If we play Music (Of course with Low Volume as we were there to enjoy the Nature), he start giving Illogical Lecture which was Annoying. Makes Faces for every single thing, Typical Money Saver. He enters into room n ask us to use bulb of low voltage n it was a matter of 10 minutes usage. Last but not the least Prompt Service by Vaibhav and his Mother!

A beautiful place, situated right in the middle of a tea and coffee estate.you need to do a little offroading to reach here (nothing difficult though). The sounds of nature will play music to your ears here, while you chill out at the patio.the hosts are all an amazing family, who believe in putting the guests requirements and needs, before their own.extraordinary level of dedication, that I haven't seen or experienced anywhere else. Aunty is so active, with all the kitchen work, gardening, maintaining the property. We had stayed for tw nghts during New Year's, and she had no domestic helper, since all of them had excused themselves. Aunty managed everything by herself, that we started feeling bad for her. Food was exceptional and authentic Malnad food. Would love to revisit again.

Location -Serene and Beautiful. Located amidst the coffee plantation and mountains with a lovely view (Need a little navigation to get here). Hosts were really good and available when in need. Meals - 3 time meals and amazing coffee, snacks available on request. Camp Fire - Available. Rooms - Average. Nice to visit in groups.
