A serene homestay situated amidst the aesthetic landscaped gardens that sprawl with the prolific Tea & Coffee Estates. The most beautiful part is the lush green eyeshot from the Balcony. Feels like being in lap for those who love the cradle of nature. Comfy bed, good food, great hospitality and Uncle's geopolitical commentary are the bonus. Give it a shot!

It's a very scenic beautiful homestay. Clean good tasty food.
But it's costly. They charge 2 to 4K per bed if there are 4 guests depending on week end or not.
Service is good. But the workers speak only Hindi which makes miscommunication.

I had very bad experience in this home stay service is not good, staff are terrible
They don't know how to behave properly towards customer and the food cost is very high for one time and there is price variation for customer and the driver and the rest room was very bad and the home stay facilities is not good totally I was unsatisfied in this home stay.

I would say Simply the best you will connect to nature and feel the vibes running in your vines for all nature lovers and stress buster place to be kudos to the place and the people over there

I recently had the pleasure of staying at megur homestay during my travels to Chikmagalur, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable in the cozy and beautifully decorated home.

The hosts Gagan and his father were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with valuable information about the local area and making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. They even cooked me delicious meals and invited me to join in on family activities, making me feel like part of the family.

The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was also immaculate with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries.

The location of the homestay was perfect for me, as it was situated in a quiet residential area within walking distance of many attractions and amenities. The hosts also provided me camper to use during my stay, which was a great way to explore the surrounding area.

Overall, I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and authentic travel experience. The hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home, and I cannot wait to return for another visit in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had a relaxing and rejuvenating stay at Megur Homestay. The homestay is surrounded by beautiful hills of tea and coffee plants, and the views are breathtaking. The host was very hospitable and friendly, and served delicious food. The room was cozy and clean, and the amenities were adequate. I enjoyed the tea plantation walk and the bonfire with barbecue in the evening. It was a perfect getaway from the city hustle and bustle. I would love to visit again and recommend this homestay to anyone who loves nature and tranquility.

Stay with an amazing view. Visited this place with my family and we had a great time here. The home stay was very clean and well maintained. All our requests were taken care. Hospitality by the owners and the tasty food is something which makes me want to go back to this place.

The stay is nestled amidst the lush greenery of western ghats. The rooms are clean and the food was delicious. I prefer to try the local cuisine and absolutely loved their neer dose, benne kadbdu and the veg kurma.

This is my go to place when i want to escape from hustle bustle of our great bengaluru, i have been visiting here from 2015 and may have stayed more than 10 times, i love how clean and tidy always the villa will be, food has been upgraded to 3 star style since last year, extremely happy about my stays, do not value fake reviews by competition, me being an outsider will always vouch for this place.
Rooms very spacious and tidy, bathrooms are sparkling clean, i dont know how gagan manages to provide such clean washrooms, if you need a room with view - book early and pay early

A lovely place to visit with family and friends alike. Beautiful scenic location, yummy food, clean rooms and great hospitality, makes it an ideal getaway from the busy city life. Located in the midst of nature, it has one of the best views to wake up to, and savour the authentic filter coffee. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

My family spent a delightful stay at Megur HomeStay. Truly a feast for the eyes, Megur is located amidst natural scenic beauty of rolling hills and deep valleys, manicured tea estates and budding coffee blooms all located in the heart of Chikmagalur Dist.

The ambience, food, warm and friendly staff, and the delectable menu of variety, served daily has left us with wonderful and lasting memories. We have no hesitation to recommend this homestay to our friends and those who wish to spend quiet time away from city life.

I have visited the place couple of times before rated 4. However, my recent experience with food and servicing was not up to the price they charge. Other issues like wifi, lighting was fine but would like to mention that.

Megur is one of the best home stay ever visited, scenic coffee and tea estates. The location is so beautiful and mesmerising. There are very few tea estates in Karnataka and this place is one of them! The homestay in itself is located in a beautiful location. Food was very delicious and they made lot of local delicacies making it more interesting. Hospitality was excellent. You can indulge in lot of activities.be it trekking (Rani Jhari, Ballalarayana durga fort, Bandaje falls, devaramane viewpoint, kodigae falls or hill right in front of the homestay)

The stay was peaceful. But they charge for everything. They don't give any snacks in evening
and charged for just 2 snacks. Food choice is not much. Only 1 non veg item will be given for lunch and dinner. No extra activities. We get much better home stays with activities for same price. Other wise the staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean.

Located with a beautiful view of the kelagur tea estate. Room a decent. Food homely. People are very homely and warm too. They arrange for camp fire. On request a small 3 km trek into lush green tea estate and view from top is arranged. Keep rides also arranged on request. Value for money.

The homestay is located amidst the tea estate. Excellent, clean and cozy. Loved each bit of it. The host Gagan is very helpful, he helped us with directions and plan our trip. Sudhakar uncle kept a check on our needs and at the same time gave us our privacy. The caretakers are humble. Good homely food was served on time. Gunda deserves a special mention ️ he is very friendly, anyone can fall in love with him.we were accompanied by him to nearby estate walks. Overall experience was amazing:) Best place to enjoy the nature and scenic view. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty around the homestay.

I visit atleast twice an year. Hospitality, food quality are excellent. Old couples make excellent food. Dose as breakfast is superb.

Megur Homestay, It was an unplanned stay with kids over there however we were completely soked in the beautiful greenaries all around, to reach at the destination one should follow the instructions through navigation board maintained by the homestay owner as place is deep inside the forest with narrow one-way and surrounded by the tea farming. Had we not been there we would not have realized the beauty of silence. This homestay was wonderful with all its amenities the hospitality, foods, cleanliness and ample space for parking and play for kids.

One of the best Homestay’s in the region, very well managed by hard working elderly couple. Amazing hospitality. Great food. Stunning view of the hill, pleasant and refreshing atmosphere.
Highly recommended, don’t even think twice. Go ahead plan and book in advance since it’s full most of the times.

Nice place with great ambience. Supportive staff, who can go to an extent to join for local places visit guiding you. Sudhakar Gowdru, the owner, Age is just a number to him. He was one who literally runs the place and run with it all day. The place is suitable for family and friends to hangout too.
