Model village is a very good destnation for those who are not belonging from any village. It shows the heart of village, the way of living, working and enjoyment so that the people knows better the village life. I apreciate the work and sculpture art which make it realistic, I like it as an Indian. I see my village life once again here. Ike it.
I like the way the whole setup has been organized. One can feel the village experience immediately after stepping into the village. The figurines are so realistic and are in life size. It will take you into the village atmosphere and the city kids can learn a lot from the same. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it takes about 90mins to cover the entire place without any hurry. There are lots of posters and information boards placed in the right locations. To add to all these music and lights play a big role in making this such a destination for all ages. The entry ticket costs 150 rupees per adult.
Good fun. Detailing is very nice, for people who have seen village life this is nostalgic. I kept over hearing older people telling their young kids about how their life in the village was and so on.
Ticket price is raised to 200rs per person. And 100rs for kids. This is totally not worthy. Well maintained, weekend 3 hr time pass. But ticket price is high and not worthy. 30 rs parking. Inside horse cart ride extra. No good restaurant inside. No other amusement for kids inside. No crowd management during peak.
Just looting the Ticket price was just 25 ruppes and now it's 200 each person this is the result of privatisation By Bjp government don't come here to west you money
Good to hang out must visit spot, and there are hotel & shops inside & even unlimited foods available inside which costs less than 200₹ good food with very descent menu
Wonderful place, kids friendly, good food.rachenahalli Lake and park are just adjacent to this place.you can combine visiting both and make it a full day picnic package
Model village is located in Srirampura Cross, Rachenahalli, Jakkur, Bengaluru. This is the creation of Mahatma Gandhi rural energy and development institute. This place offers glimpses of rural life, folk artes, cuisine, costume, dwelling and the traditional occupation of people across Karnataka. Houses and traditional occupation of various communities are displayed here. An ideal place for Urban children to go back to their roots and learn how the people lived, worked and co existed. The indigenous farming system is depicted in a series of life-sized sculptures that enact ploughing and threshing.
It's super experience. I had great fun. But, the only problem is the food in rangoli kitchen. It's not worth a price. And it tastes below average. I'd definitely won't recommend anyone to buy in this pricey tasteless restaurant. Please, if you're trying to visit, eat outside.
Just looting to the people before it was 25 ruppes ticket price and now it's 200 ruppes each person the security gaurd was shouting like Dog we recommend to not come here it's better to go funworld or other places is better than this please
A really nice place to get to know about village life of Karnataka. The place has lots of village-like setups with human statues and it also has detailed explanation of all village life (in both English and Kannada languages).
And finally there's a nice restaurant inside the campus (albeit a bit expensive) to have lunch after visiting the whole place.
Good place to know about culture of Karnataka. You can spend quality time. Kids will definitely enjoy. South Indian, North Indian and Chinese food is a available.though it pricey quality of food is good.
Must visit place for family and kids.worth spending time around 3 hours.lunch was extraordinary.but the entry fees 200 and lunch 299 felt costly. Otherwise worth going.
A must visit place. We can show our kids how village look like, how people live in village. Very beautiful concept. Hats Off to the maker. Food is also really good.a
Its a good representation of how our Indian history had everything organised in villages. For the people who come from villages or have seen it already, its not worth the time and price for them. For people who have never visited or understood about village ecosystem, it may give some insights. High priced too.
We went to the model karnataka village over a weekend. Our impressions- Likes: 1) Beautiful and green location and adjacent to rachenahalli lake 2) Has ample car parking 3) The model village sculptures are life like and look quite authentic. 4) The place has a restaurant which serves coffee and food 5) The approach road to this place from main airport road is good.
Dislikes: 1) 200 Rupee/ adult entry fee is very high for what this place offers. 2) Seperate car parking fee of 30 rupees. This should have been inclusive in the ticket price. 3) Not many activities in this place except for horse cart ride.
Maintained well.but not worth the ticket paid.it has been mentioned 50 rs on website but got to pay 200 rs per adult and 100 rs for kids.its just models kept no as such information given.very disappointed
