Monappa Estate - Riverside

An amazing place where every detail has been taken care of making a stay as comfortable as possible for proper who want a great vacation away from the hustle bustle of cities. A serene atmosphere and great food plus a wonderful morning riverside walk completes the stay as a wonderful experience.

Massive estate, beautiful bungalow with heritage vibes. Very neat and clean maintenance. The view outside is stunning. Refreshing streams in and around the estate. Very good host, Chandra.

The best place to stay with your family or friends. It has 5 luxurious bedrooms, kitchen and a dining area, which surrounded by coconut and areca farm filled with peacocks. This is the place where you can connect with nature.

The best part is the caretaker- Mr. Chandra and his wife, they are so sweet and they cooked us delicious food for dinner and took good care of us. The host- Mr. Mehaal, he guided us very well for the entire stay.

Be it a family outing or with friends, this place is like the epitome of luxury. A huge bungalow with 5 bedrooms, completely furnished in the middle of a magnanimous farm (definitely in hundreds of acres). The estate has a river flowing inside (Seethanadi) and you have two private access available to the riverside. The spots are beautiful, an ideal place to hang out during early mornings or late evenings.

Absolutely beautiful and most luxurious plantation stay I have been to in last 14 years! We stay in Bengaluru and explore home stays around western ghat regularly from 2008.
Monappa river side stay was suggested by one of my contacts from Udupi and upon seeing the reviews we have booked 3 nights stay during Christmas.

We reached the stunning plantation in the afternoon and immediately greeted by a large group of peacocks. Chandra welcomed us and we settled down in the luxurious, super clean and spacious rooms.
The bungalow is huge having 3 bed rooms and just behind the main house there are 2 more huge rooms.

In the late afternoon we went near the river enjoyed the sunset at the view point. Dinner was ordered from a near by restaurant and served hot in the dining area.

The night is stunning as the property is beautifully illuminated with powerful lights. On the roof there is arrangement for party. Thoughtfully a wash basin and a toilet is also there.

Day 2 started with a dip in the river early in the morning followed by a trip to Malpe beach and surroundings.
Day 3 We were mostly in the river from morning till late afternoon. Stunning clean water, blue sky and privacy gave us a amazing experience in the nature.

On the day of check out no one wanted to leave. Still we packed the bags, loaded in the car, all payments cleared. I quickly checked if the stay is available for an additional day and voila we extended for one more day!

Highlights of the property:

• Large space, super clean
• Mehal is a great person and shared lot of information regarding the stay and food options upon arrival
• The care tacker Chandra and his wife were very prompt in service and always available.
• Experience in the river was amazing. Kids had their first learnings with river.
• Lush green plantation, well maintained and peacocks paradise. This makes a trek in the morning/evening much enjoyable.
• Upon request Chandra and his wife prepared dinner for us which was amazing. This option is not available in general.
• I would highly recommend to have the option for preparation of local food at the home stay by them.

We are now planning for another trip during next month.

I would highly recommend this home stay to any one planning a trip towards Udupi.

Beautiful place for relaxing and exploring nature! The food that was provided was very good! Loved the place and will definitely come back one day.

What a fantastic property! It’s surrounded by coconuts trees and the sounds of peacocks. There are different trails to the river and the views at the end are stunning. The property is kept sparkling clean by the caretakers who are very hospitable and gracious. A must stay!

Stunning interiors - home away from home

We, a family of 8 adults and 6 kids planned for an outing and booked this villa in Monappa estate. We thought of going a little away from the busy city life to somewhere close to nature and this Monappa estate was a place which excelled our imagination in every way possible. We woke up to the beautiful sounds of peacocks and small birds singing happily. The sun rise through the coconut trees was a bliss to watch. Although we went to Malpe beach and sea walk which the manager suggested to us before day, we kept the estate walk to the last day so that we can come back home with all these memories, as we walked through the estate, we came across the Ganga river and as we touched the water it was a heartwarming feeling. Kids and adults played with the stones which were on the banks. As we went on the ride, we were surprised to see the peacocks walking gracefully around the estate. We captured that sight in our memories and phones so that it will stay with us for a long time. Thank you to the person I spoke to over the phone who was kind enough to answer all my queries and made sure we were at utmost comfort during the stay and for suggesting all the best places to visit nearby. The services provided by the caretaker Chandra and his family were very warm. The manager of the farm Nagayya made sure we were comfortable all the time. It reminded us of our vacation to grandparents house with the farm and people talking with so much care and warmth. Thank you guys to the complete team of Monappa estate, I would definitely suggest it to all my friends and family for a wonderful weekend getaway.

A magical location. Huge Coconut and Arecanut Estate with incredible privacy. The new and modern farm house is in the middle of the estate. You pretty much live in your own village. The riverfront is long and so beautiful.
