Mother Tekla Auditorium

Tucked away in the lush green environs of central Bangalore, Mother Tekla Auditorium has comfortable push back seating, good acoustics, with a good view of the stage and the performers. The seats seemed as if tightly packed to optimize the seating. That said, there is not enough parking for 4-wheelers. The few 4-wheelers that were parked within the premises found it difficult to maneuver and park. The streetlights were non existent around this area. The garden was immaculately maintained. The venue was clean and the toilets were regularly maintained.

The auditorium is in such a way that you'll enjoy the program from anywhere within the auditorium. The audio quality is also good and the distance is not too far.

Lovely venue for a lecture or talk, wish their elevator worked properly so that disabled people or wheelchair-bound patrons can access the upper floor with ease.

Auditorium acoustic, seating, air-conditioning are all nice however the organizers at the auditorium don't have the means and intention to manage the crowd! The program was also delayed by 35 minutes. The overall experience at auditorium was overshadowed by mismanagement of the audience and delays.

Absolutely impossible to find this on the map, there is no gate, no board. If this is fixed would've given 3 stars, since it's okay with this, but without this it's just bad.
We got in only due to a volunteer of the event and by asking street hawkers.
Parking is very minimal.
Seating is roughly 200 folks, with a small balcony as well.
Seats are average, some are broken.
Ac is very poor, mic had some issues during the show. Lighting is decent however.
Getting in the show is throw a lobby and a staircase which felt awkward since there's no proper staging area or reception area.
Stage is small, perfect for stand up or magic acts or any such performance.

Nice cozy place for a small event. Went for Naveen Richard's stand-up event here, and enjoyed every bit of it.
Chairs were a little weird since if you leaned back a little, you'd hit the legs of the person behind you.
Also for those saying the place is hard to find - There's an entry on the right of the DTDC building, but to the left of the Convent gate. You can park 2-wheelers here. Walk straight for a few minutes and you'll see the auditorium up ahead to your left.

Nice auditorium. It's just next to DTDC. There is a small way between DTDC and Convent where we have to go. Overall the auditorium is Nice. Those coming by 4 wheeler can park there vehicle inside convent which is next to the auditorium. And even if you reach early you can go to Garuda or Central mall as they are at walkable distance.

We went there for attending comedy show, since show was great, we didn't cared a lot on quality of auditorium. However, seat quality is not good. You can feel it once you sit there for straight 1 hour.

It was sooo good. Harsh Gujral did so well it was the first time I saw him live. Every time my cheeks and stomach was paining.

It's a very old auditorium and you can see it as soon as you enter. There is not much space for parking and not more than 10 cars can be parked here.
From the inside also, it's an old building which is maintained well.
The seats in the auditorium are very low and you will be sitting in your knees up position the whole time.
They have 2 adjacent buildings and it might get a little confusing for the first time visitor.
The auditorium is on the first floor and they have both lift and stairs.

Some of the chairs are broken and the parking is narrow but the event attended here was brilliant and location is central

Seats were extremely tiny, arm rest was a small piece of hard wood. Nice sound and they had AC which is nice for an auditorium but after sitting there for 90mins, both me and my friend had throat discomfort. Someone needs to take a look at the air quality being circulated in there.
And the stage area, it was too bright (entire stage was heavily lit instead of having a spot light on the performer), staring for 90mins, eyes discomfort. Needs a lota improvements here.

Auditorium is really good once the door was Closed But when we visited there was a Bad Smell in Lobbies.

Great place in terms of design. I went there to see an adventure film festival during monsoons. The parking is cluttered but the auditorium is really amazing. The design is such that it fits huge number of people in less space depsite comfortable seating.

Went here to see Abhishek Upmanyus standup. Amazing theatre. The sound system and seating arrangement are adequate.

Spacious auditorium, toilets are clean and maintained, enough leg space between seats, lighting could be improved.

It's in a convent, but that doesn't help the misguidingly placed building entrance and lighting conditions are abysmal, seating is satisfactory, entrance is right between the male and female toilets
