Authentic and traditional eatery of banglore. Their masala dosa is always unique and poori sagu also awesome. Good option for vegetarian food at kanakapura road.
We ordered special meals and had to wait longer for every items in the menu to be served. They took approx 55 minutes to serve all the the items one by one and by then we had lost our appetite. Taste is just okay but other MTR serves better tasty food.
Have noticed other customers too complaining to the cashier / manager regarding the same issue but he paid no attention to it.
Guys it is just a hype created for the brand…trust me its one of the worst dosa taste i ever had in my life…small darshini hotels make better dosa…not worth visiting MTR.
Food quality and taste is below average, they are concerntrating on continental food for earning money, service is bad, self service system, serving in plates is not good, much better and cheaper options are available besides
Be careful there are two restaurants inside. One run by the classy MTR and another by a local roadside North Indian outlet by name THE CAFE. KINDLY AVOID THE CAFE food is totally substandard. I had ordered gobi manchurian but I got only the mixture of salt gobi and soya sauce. ALL THE THREE STARS ARE GIVEN ONLY TO MTR.friendly advise to MTR guys please don’t spoil your name and fame what you have earned since 1924 by mingling with these local food makers
We had rava idly, vada, bisibele bath and coffee which was super along with awesome chutney and sambar. Based on reviews ordered Masala dosa and I found it to be less tasty. Has parking space, it's a self service restaurant
It does gave the brand name but the food is nowhere near the original taste of MTR. I personally love the MTR Masala Dosa but here the Dosa was not crispy. The reason for this is probably because of the branch and it's location. It's difficult to get the same taste in all of their branches in MTR's defence. But it's one of the good restaurants you'll find in this road.
We used to come to this restaurant from many years and every year the food taste and quality has reduced a lot. Today we visited after 9 months and the food is not so good. No matter what time we come, we used to have Masale Dose, but today totally unhappy with taste of it. Attitude of people is like as if they are giving it for free. People do not have serving mindset. Decided not to visit again. Disapointed
Idli was out of stock in MTR can you believe! Masala Dosa was so over roasted that it was almost black. Completely tasteless. Never going back to this place
I entered this MTR hotel to enjoy the original taste of MTR. I am very disappointed to say that the taste is very bad and not the quality of MTR. Please maintain the quality of MTR without any compromise to keep up the name and fame MTR.
Out team had 2 special meals and 2mini meals in the restaurant today noon.food tasted okie but we all got a problem with our stomach after sometime. Something was wrong in it probably too much of SODA they have used ️ this branch should better work on their quality of food and service.
Though it was only takeaway due to no serving in the restaurant because of covid situation, but I felt it was terribly expensive. Two masala dosa and two filter coffees came to Rs280. I feel it's expensive.
I am impressed with the quality and taste maintained by MTR. MTR is one of my all time favourite restaurants and I was skeptical while I visited this branch. However, the taste blew me away! A MTR is always a MTR where ever it is!
Very limited items. Mixed rice and more south indian dish can be introduced. If u like bonda soup, dosas and akki rotti.this is a must visit place. Badam milk is tasty.
I wasn’t able to locate this place on my way to Mysuru until recently as the signages have faded. It’s about 0.5 km from the Art of Living International Centre. Great coffee as usual from MTR. We could only pick up a few sweets and savouries as we had packed lunch from home and we throughly enjoyed them. We saw they sanitise each table after the customers finish eating and the staff were wearing masks. It’s closed on Tuesdays. There’s another restaurant called The Cafe just adjacent to this that serves non-South Indian veg food too.
A worst hotel of MTR group with no hygiene or quality or taste. Hotel to be avoided if looking for MTR class. None of the dishes including filter coffee are good.
Good restaurant with good food. The ambience inside restaurant is okay. But outside it is good. Lack cleaness overall. Price is reasonable. Overall Recommend to visit.
Pros: has good parking space and its calm and quiet.good atmosphere cons: Expensive food and not as best as it used to be.price relatively higher.you can try once if you really want to know how MTR feels like.
As MTR has had gold standard for being one of the best food outlets of the city, the quality of food has proven itself to be consistent and ever improving. The Cafe section had dishes that are completely new and is fantastic. Definitely a grand place
1 Masala Dosa costs Rs85.and when I opened the Dosa. The Aloo Masala is just 2 Table Spoon.just ahead in Kagglipura you can get One paper masala Dosa in Krishna Sagar @Rs55 and the size of Dosa is 3 times of this one in MTR and the Masala qty is 5 times of MTR
Fantastic place have pure veg food. Have been several times with friends and family. If looking for a pure veg then this is the best place to be in. Neat and clean.
Don't forget to have idli and dosa here. The mint chutney is yumm.
Staff is good and polite. Do visit when around Kanakapura Road
Famous south Indian brand, known for its delicious south Indian food, located on Kanakapura road just opposite to Art of Living centre. Has good parking space, the dosa's are roasted using Ghee and tastes delicious
Great authentic karnataka food. Tea, Lassi, Shakes along with Breakfast including Dosa, Bhath, Idly, Vada etc. Also has the store which offers the MTR ready-to-cook meals, and other savouries.
As the name great food, it's a big area, has big parking lot, even the visitors to Ravi shankar ashram can park there, it's about to be a food court and stay also
Worst place ever to visit. It's on kanakapura road. I thought this place would be better than their main restaurant in Bannerghatta road. It's no less. The restaurant is so dirty, tables, floor, surroundings, nothing is cleaned. Service is very bad, though it's self service.it was smelling, no cleanliness.and top it all, overly priced. People, please avoid visiting this place. We can even go without food but avoid eating at this place. PS.we have severe stomach problems after eating there yesterday.
Previously they had a nice sitting area outside (steps with gtass cover). Buy poor maintenance has left that area neglected. Food is good. Not exact taste of MTR coffee /food. But still close enough.
A good food court with ample parking. MTR food is already well known. The only let down was the service time. With a lot of people visiting this place, it took quite a bit of time to get the orders done. We had Masala Dosa and juices here. Self service place. They accept cash and cards. You will also get other packed products from MTR here.
Good food, typical MTR fare, limited options menu (I was quite surprised that poori and rava dosa were not available!) but for self service it's priced too high. They are absolutely callous, lousy toilets, dirty wash basins, no napkins/sugar/spoon/water on the table. Something you expect when you pay 90 rupees for a masala dosa. I spite of having established since 1924. They have a few things to learn!
Very noisy when crowded and the place is kind interior to main road.poor ambience.if u just wannu sip a coffee on the way travelling u can jus stop else if not not a good place to visit
Food is ok but very expensive and staff is also non Cooperative, hygiene is good, now more new food points are there on same route. This place is good if you are having at least 1-2 hours for breakfast or snacks. Very delayed service. Parking place is also away from entry of restaurant.
Probably most worthless eatout! Very expensive for the food they offer. Drove from my home about 12 Kms just to experience this ridiculous thing. It's basically within a food court and the ambience sucks! Also, the number of options they offer are way too less. Gave 2 only because the taste was good.
