Mulbagal Dosa Prasad Hotel

Situated about 120 kms from Bangalore in Mulbagal.

Went all the way to eat their famous Mulbagal dosa. Very delicious dosa and the chutney served with that was also tasty. Unlimited chutney if you want more. We also tried their thatte idli which was also good.

We went on a Sunday and the place was very crowded. Took half an hour to get our dosas. There is no parking in the lane in which the restaurant is located. Better park on the main road near Mayura Bakery and then walk across.

There is limited seating so one would have to stand and eat.

Worth a visit if you passing by or visitng Kolar

We went searching for this based on an YouTube review. Dosa is good but nothing great about it. Very narrow road so you can't park your 4 wheelers. For the atmosphere and the price they offer, it's not value for money. One can skip it unless you want to try out enroute.

Best MASALA DOSA in Mulbagal/Chitoor/Tirupati Highway…

If you are on Mulbagal Highway, I highly suggest you to try Spl. Masala Dosa here. (Yumm)
They use pure ghee for the Dosa and it’s totally worth it.

It is just 2kms deviation from Highway to Mulbagal.

There will be a huge crowd, u just have wait patiently to get your treat.

If you are on that Highway, and hungry then don’t even think, just hit this place.

A super popular place in the center of old bazaar area. Way used to be a small time eatery has grown in popularity due to bikers from Bangalore city who like to g on a morning ride and have a good breakfast. So be aware of the crowd if you are visiting on a weekend.

Coming to food, the hot crispy dosas have an excellent taste. Especially Special Masala Dosa and Onion Dosa. The size of the dosa is small when compared to other places in the city and prices are not low either, so the hotel has lost its local customers and is now popular among travellers from Bangalore.

Coming to ambiance, it’s a typical village hotel. No tables or cutlery and you have to stand and eat with your hands.

There is no delivery service either, but provides parcel for you to take home.

Coming to payment, they accept both cash and UPI but not credit/debit cards!

Opens at 7 AM.i tried Kali dosa and spl masala dosa, both are perfect.

Very Modest place. Access isa bit awkward. First pass through busy bazaar street and then enter a small lane. DJ small corner shop with two benches kept for sitting.
But once you get your mulbagal dosa you just forget everything.
Crispy on the outside and smooth inside. Oozing with your Nandini ghee.
Other items like tatte idli, Khali dosa and brownish onion dosa where are looking very yummy and being released by the customers.
Masala in the dosa was also tasty.
Recommended without any hesitation.

Service by one person, I think it's Mr Prasad's brother, it was outstanding. Idly was soft and good. Dosa was also good.

Restaurant of old times, famous for Masala dosa. To keep up with its fame, the masaladosa tastes yummie. Vada (masala vada) too was very tasty here. Also tried Tatte idli which was just ok. Coffee tea are not available, but there is another shop next to Prasad sells coffee, tea, badam milk.

Mulbagal Masaladosa is different from regular masaladosas, bottom side is crisp roasted with ghee, top side is soft. Dosa is made in round tawa instead of flat cast iron Tawas in other places.

I had been here on weekend, crowd was heavy hence took token and had to wait for around 1 hr to get my groups turn for dosas. Once ur token comes, you can have any number of additional dosas. Overall it was worth the wait. Heard it is relatively less crowded during weekdays.

It's a small place, on an interior narrow road and 4 wheeler can not come here. Better park your 4 wheeler on the main road and walk down.

Since I love to taste different types of food.
This was in my want to go list. So that I have chance to taste the best dosa.
Since I was on the way. I dropped over this and tried the yummy dosa whch is the best over this place.
Its crisp soft and tasty also.
You can't resit with single one, atleast need to have 2 fill the hunger of dosa craving

Good taste, idly is so smooth, masala dosa is also very good, onion dosa avg, tate idly rs15,45,50 respectively, price bit high for size but overall good

I had my breakfast here on my way to Tirumala. Totally worth every penny. It is famous for dosas. Prices are affordable

Special Masale dosa is their highlight here. Crisply roasted dosas with ghee is a treat to our taste buds early in the morning. Hope they had Ground nut chutney too. It's served with onion and coconut chutney. Idli is also a must try. They're very fluffy and soft. Nice spot for a 100kms breakfast ride.

Fantastic dosa must try. Small place place but neatly maintened don't miss the Ghee onion dosa. And masala dosa.

For a small shop it surely has the attention for a really yummy food.
The menu is limited yet different and the dosa shape with the ghee and their chutney is too good that you will go back again when you pass them

Visited the place little late. Tried ghee dosa (Thuppada Dose) and kali dose. Couldn't try Masala Dose as I was late. So make sure you visit the place before 10 AM on weekends.
You cannot take the car till this place. You might have to park in the main road and have someone in the car as it's a marketplace and walk to to the mess.

Nice dosa and palya unique texture and its crispy outside and inside thick fluffy dosa and we tried idle and vada it's amazing. If you happens to be there on holidays be there 1 hour before it's very rush.

We travelled around 90kms just to taste the dosa after reading all the good things about this hotel.
Unlike what is shown by food bloggers.quantity of ghee poured is not too much and is used/poured moderately only.

Things we didn't like that much:
Masala Vada.not that great and we felt we could have instead filled that space in tummy with Idly)
Bath Masala Dosa - we thought they will put Upma in dosa. But, they put Lemon Rice. It was pretty filling and kind of makes dosa loose its spl flavour.

Prices are reasonable.around 100 rupees per person.you need to wait for little while.but the food is worth it.

We ordered spl masala dosa and spl onion dosa. Both were excellent and it is worth a drive from Bangalore to there.

We ensured to reach there before 8: 30 am. This place gets crowded after 8: 30.

I tried this place after a lot of reviews and its worth every bit of it. Its not on the main road, you need to park your car near the Market and walk-up to the place. I loved Thatte Idli, Special Masala Dosa and Onion Dosa.
It was worth the stop while I was heading to Tirupathi to have a good Breakfast.

Very small place but neat and clean. Ate thattai idly, vada and dosa. Very tasty and light on your stomach

Food is good but at peak time the way they treat customers is not good.i want them to know that customers come because of tast and quality if your behavior remains same then you will loose the business

Over hyped worst place to stand n eat n no discipline attitude fellow no cleanliness no hygiene no proper service very stinking service bad attitude over several issues like no proper waste management plates were thrown on the streets lots of pigs open drainage

I have tried this place earlier, the taste was very unique and good, recently visited in April 2021, seriously its not the same anymore, its just an ordinary dosa

Ghee Masala dose was very good. So was Thatte Idly. Couldn't try other items as I don't like to eat too much when I'm riding my bike long distance. Will visit this place whenever I get a chance again.

Dosa and the mango rise were the best but they need to work on the chutny as its not up to the mark

Very famous joint in Mulbagal town near to Mulbagal Anjaneya temple. Excellent taste, authentic style, many varieties of dosas, idly and ricebath. Located in a narrow lane, slightly difficult to approach. You need to park your car on the main road and walk about 200 yards in the bylane. No token or queue system and no table and chairs to sit and relish, they have provided a couple of benches usually occupied by older people. You eat all you can and pay accordingly. Highly recommended place.

If u are traveling via mulibagilu Kolar.u have to have breakfast here.it's yummy n opens at 7.30 in the morning.you get dosa.idli.n yellow rice

If you are a food lover and don't mind detouring to try good food, then this is the right place. Five minutes from the main road is worth it. Just into the bus stand and 20-30 steps. Special masala dosa is a must eat. Onion dosa is an another tasty dish there. Idlies just melt. They are so soft. It's better to depend on this than anything on the highway like Maya's or Adigas. It's maintained by a family in a hygenic place. Its very easy on the pocket too and value for money too.

Want to eat out of the world dosa? This is the place. Crispy to the core outside, fluffy inside. Awesome chutney. Order ghee special dosa, and you will be in for a treat.

Ghee Masala dosa's with two mouth watering chutneys makes the Taste awesome. Should taste once for sure.
