Excellent rooms, very good service, food is really tasty (both veg and non veg). A very good ideal homestay choice for friends and family too.

My wife and me went on an immediate trip and we wanted a decent getaway! What we got is a 5-star treatment. Heads up, very hygienic place! 100% well maintained… Though we hadn’t informed for lunch, the host was very considerate in providing us the same. Neat place and serene atmosphere. They were too accommodating in asking us about our specifications for food, beverages, places to visit etc. We had ZERO restrictions as they had given us the property to explore. They also constantly kept on checking our safety in arriving to the property. We also had a nice chat with the hosts and the caretaker.

The scenic beauty from this homestay is amazing and it's location is perfect. The property is well maintained and clean. Must visit!

Very nice place to stay. Property is very clean and tidy. Food was really great and it was all home made food. The view from the property is nice and we spent a day with family and kids (12 adults and 7 kids).

Amazing homestay amidst nature. The food was tasty and rooms were extremely clean. Though little far from the tourist attractions, it is the best place to relax and rejuvenate. Do try their home made chilly wine and beetle leaf wine.

Note to visitors: Please note that this is a homestay run by a family. I have seen a bunch of kids demanding them to clean a place for playing, where coffee beans are put for drying. It is not a hotel or a resort!

Excellent place for a getaway from hectic City life. The view is detoxing and the hospitality is just worth a homecoming. Must recommend.

We four of our friends had been to this Homestay. It was a pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend this to people who wants to enjoy the nature. Hospitality was too good. Food was very delicious.

@Vallavi, please ensure to keep the bathrooms (Need to change the GUN) clean once the each checkout is done as it was not cleaned when I arrived there.

Nice hospitality and good care taking by the owner we can enjoy a lot, but the only thing is cost little high when compare to others and if we are going on more then 15 also same cost they are charging no discount on price that is the only negative. Property owners are really nice and good hospitality. Hello listen pallavi cheating means what you know if we are not paying means its cheating but we have paid the amount which you have asked and you have any made any discount even i asked at the last moment also while you told as there will be individual for us but its not like that, and i am not reviewed any false also and please don't mention any thing false on the review before we are starting also i have mentioned as 14-15 but at the last minute you said its for 12 people if you have call recorder kindly listen to that and kindly see the meaning of cheating and use the word. In business point of view you will see your side profit and i want to see my side end of the day is business. Thank you

One of the best place to stay close to chikmagalur, great hospitality and well maintained property. Food was at the best and malnad dishes were awesome.
The hosting family were very cooperative and had a great knowledge about the places nearby upon interest / activity. Covered camp fire in a traditional way is something unique at this place.
Stayed only for one night but can easily spend two nights over here.
Wholehearted thanks to the host and caretakers including the maid assistant who took good care of needs of our kids too.

The owners of Muthodi Madilu are very gregarious and welcome the guests with lot of warmth. The lady of the house, Sheela mam, cooked dinner for us both days and the food was delectable. Lot of greens, with coccunut and ginger in generous portions for dinner. And ofcourse how could we miss the multiple rounds of coffee that were served.
Packed some homemade GHEE and Coffee beans from their estate as well.

The view of the valley from the front courtyard of the homestay is breathtaking and so is the back drop of tall trees. With the pre monsoons setting in, the hide and seek between the sun and the clouds painted the dusk with a riot of different hues. I sulked at not been able to capture the view either in water color or in a DSLR. Promised to myself to carry one of them the next time I visit Muthodi Madilu. Definitely a 5 out of 5 or a 10 out of 10 rating from me.

This is the best homestay you will find in this area. They have a lot and lot of space. The owners are very friendly and adjusting. They provided us with everything we asked for. They gave us homemade food which was really good. Apart from dinner and breakfast, they also provided snacks whenever you ask. The view from this homestay is awesome. When traveling to chikmaglur, you should plan the stay here only as this place has the beauty, all the facilities, bonfire space and a very good view from the rooms. They are very chill and helpful about everything. It is definitely a must visit. I went there with a group of 7.
