The ambience was soo nice, giving old vibes. Old Tamil song’s playing at the background. There chicken biryani was soo delicious. I tried it first and it blown my mind.
Great place for varieties of Chettinad food. Quick service, tasty food. Tried vegetarian meals, mutton roast briyani, chicken roast briyani, mutton chukka and sear fish tawa fry
Great food, we really enjoyed. Ordered chettinad veg meals, prawns biryani, kerala porotta, meen kuzhambu. Highly recommend if you enjoy tamil cuisine.
Truly an amazing place to have Chettinad food. Spicy and tasty. No complaints. You would complain of the quantity, ONLY coz u wanna eat more of that tasty food ️
At First Its Spicy, And At Last Destruction In The Stomach. I Won't Recommend The Restuarant, People Who Have A Lot Of Spicy Food Can Only Go There Orelse You Need To Face The Consequences Of Eating Spicy Food
Chettinad cuisine all the way.: D lovely flavour of pepper in all dishes. Mutton delicacies are a must try. And personally, the crab roast here is the best in town
The food and service is great here. Tried their chicken soup, which was light and spicy. Great way to open up your senses of taste. The chicken chilli was extremely spicy and biriyani was spicy too. May be sometimes it's better to being down the spiciness so that the flavours can be enjoyed
The food was really amazing, must try for chettinad food lovers. The spices are mostly pepper. If you are a person who don't like eating spicy food, this is definitely not the place. Mutton chukka was grt, so as kadai fry.
Definitely try for below one's Crab soup Mutton roast semi gravy Non veg meals Mutton brain Porotta and Kothu porotta Definitely don't try veg meals, they are yet to improve on it.
Good place to have chettinad style food. Nandu soup, Chicken sukka and era varuval were tasty. Meals and chicken biriyani were good. Bit on the costlier side though and quantity of food was very less for the price paid.
Veg meals and mutton biriyani were top class. Mutton soup was delicious and delicately flavoured. Spicy without the chilly. The dry prawn starter was disappointing only because of the use of frozen prawns. The masala was excellent.
Most unhelpful manager taking order. "What is mushroom varuval? It is semi-dry" And that varuval turned out watery like a curry. Don't know why it's listed under starters if it's a mushroom curry.
When I was visited two years back, the Biryani taste was unique. I again visited to have the same biryani, I was very upset, it was not up to expectations not worth for what I have paid. I have ordered Payasam he took 25rs for that and gave me payasam in a small up (which is max 4spoon). Lot need to be improved
You can enjoy the retro look and Tamil retro songs
This restaurant has never failed to deliver in terms of quality & authenticity from the day it first opened it's doors for service. Just the right place for all your chettinad cravings.
Was hungry, after shopping, so hubby wanted to have nonveg, dropped in at this place, he had biriyani, and chicken dry, nandu fry, very nice, while I had veg thali, which was worth the money.
I wud rate dis place as 4 stars, dat 4 stars is for the food but 5th star is missing just b'coz of the cost, b'coz a common man or middle class man can't afford it for sure, cos the price is so high.
They serve good food, hence took my wife to the restaurant today. But to my surprise they provided us with old biryani and old chicken in fresh gravy. Don't go if the restaurant is empty.
This is a veg /non veg family restaurant. Good taste of Tamilnadu Chettiar style cusinori. Tasty for those who likes traditional food. Generally busy in business and table reservations available. Reasonably priced.
Must try restaurant for any foodie. Must try items - Biriyani. Kothu parotta and jigar thanda. Nice ambience as well. Staff are friendly. Complimentary sweets for kids wer provided.
I was one of the first week customers when they opened, was a frequent visiter with friends & family, I personally feel the taste was good that time, i have introduced a dozen of friends to this hotel, i was refered by one manjunath in reliance when they opened the hotel, the taste is not that great right now, there mutton biryani & crab masala is worthy to dine otherwise the price & dining experience is not worth the money.they must give the taste of true chettinad food always.
The ambiance of this place! Mahn, it's wonderful. All retro and old school. The speakers inside play Ilayaraja Hits! I took my parents over here and my father got all excited after spotting a typewriter that he once owned. The staff, friendly and the food, delicious. Go for it. Please do mind your head while entering though.
Am not a big fan of Kerala cuisine but Naachiyar's changed my perception honestly. Food was excellent and thankfully it was not spicy also. Loved every bit of the ambience, staff, interiors and the food. Parking is a challenge here.
Awesome traditional food is served. Must try Biryani and Chicken in starters. Don't forget is ask for Rasam. Must visit place for all the people who like Dum Biryani with all the authentic spices. Peak hours 1- 2 noon. Ambiance is also Good. Missing waiting chair or sofas.
We have been here for a Lunch on Sunday, had to wait for 10 minutes to get the table. The food was good in taste but don't expect the typical Tamil cook here, the cook seems to be from North as usual.
If you are looking for spicy food with mouth watering starters this may not be suitable place. The service and ambiance are really good.
First thing you will notice and enjoy in the restaurant is the ambience. Place is quite small and there is no directions to parking. Need to park opposite to the restaurant on the road side. Let me get to the point. Food. Mouth watering dishes. Perfectly balanced menu. No need to turn 40 pages to spot a dish. Pure Chettinad dishes. Kind of authentic. Some dishes are extraordinary and some are good. Overall this is a good place for some good south indian, Chettinad food. Must try Kara Kuzhambu. Yeral Varuval and veg meals. Truly better than Andal Mess, Aathurar and Anjappar.
Veg meal is really appetizing. However, they need to expand the place a little because it gets too crowded and suffocating when there's a lot of people within the restaurant
Today v had lunch it was good. So v thought dinner v can have so bad so bad food I never had like this bad food in my life so bad experience. I asked y it's so spicy they r telling I I'll b spicy only all r having same food his behavior like first time v r having food on out side like that so please understand v r ready to give money but u should give good food also.
Authentic Chettinad Tamil cuisine in Bangalore. This place boasts of some of the better Chettinad food in the city while being extremely reasonably priced.
Ambience: (4/5) The space is a little small and has about 10 tables in total so at times you may find that you have to wait. Located around the Ulsoor lake, this place is very centrally located and isn’t too far from MG road.
Food: (4/5) This place has some really great food. Had the thali here which was unlimited and the accompaniment was great. The puli (tamarind) gravy was especially good and went very well with the streaming hot rice and ghee. The fish here was large and tasted fresh unlike some other places in the city. It was cooked very similar to the home-style of cooking from Tamil Nadu.
Summary: (4/5) Great Tamilian non-veg food option. It is a must visit for any Chettinad food lover.
