Nandi camping site

Great place for astro photography and beautiful view of sunrise. Bikes and car can reach up till the camping point. (Don’t forget to take your tripod)

Restroom is at the base of the hill, which is hardly 200 meters from the camping site.

Basic food will be provided by the owner of the campsite for dinner and breakfast. You can carry extra food/snacks.

Amazing place to camp with friends, mesmerizing 360 view. Experienced beautiful moonrise and sunrise. Very narrow road from Madikeri till we reach the campsite, last few kms is totally mud patch. No problem for bikes to reach here but car with low ground clearance needs to be careful. Host provided good homemade food and place has decent tents and washroom which is quite sufficient for camping. Keeping in mind that campsite is so close to nature, no complaints on facilities provided here. Loved the drive to this place in a small car and the road from campsite towards Kote Abbey falls is even crazier to drive with steep angle decent.

Place is really very beautiful! During our stay there was heavy rain through out the night! We had a wonderful experience! Dinner was good, so was the Breakfast! But reaching the location is a major Challenge! Roads are really narrow followed by big path holes. We traveled their on 1st July and it was raining! Unfortunately I had taken my Baleno (Old model) which has front wheel drive and struggled to enter the climb which was mud road and got slippery due to continuous rainfall! Bad part is their is no network available to make call if you get stuck in the middle with your vehicle. No toeing service either if your vehicle gets stuck. So either ensure to go by 4x4 or just wait until rainy season is over.

We did booked the camp for 4 peoples, then asked the owner again who else is there he said there are 6 peoples booked. So, he asked to come within 6.30 pm, bcz it gets dark and it's a private property. Roads are bit complicated at night. So we reached at 4.45pm.
Met the camp worker, who brings the dinner and take care of the camp.
So, at 7pm the other 6 people were supposed to come, they cancelled or they didn't booked the camp no idea!
Literally we only 4 people were there at night on the hill. We couldn't sleep also properly, bit scared.
He gives some torch to every tent. That's it.
However he charges per head 1500Rs, it's not worth.

Beautiful place to spend a night who likes star gazing and want to see the best sunrise! Well maintained and mainly very good hospitality! Food is really delicious! Price wise also, it’s affordable.
VERY IMPORTANT: I and my friend, only two girls travelled there and we were scared a bit, coz it’s mountain place whether it will be safe or not! But let me tell you this place’s safe even if girls wants to go on solo trip too! Owner made sure we were safe and was there the whole night near the camp! Thanks for that!
Anybody who wants getaway from city life and wants peaceful atmosphere! This is best place without a second thought! Will definitely keep visiting!

Best camp i had till date

It was the first time I did camping and I'm glad that I chose nandi campsite for that. We went to celebrate New year's there and it was one of the best thing I did. It is a great getaway especially for people who live in metropolitan cities for a stress-free time.
Sajan hosted us really well and made sure everything went well and safe. I would suggest this campsite because it's so safe for solo travellers because he makes sure we're safe until the end. They also provide us with homemade food which is another add on. Sajan's family also made sure we were treated as a part of them which left us homely till check-out.
I would love to go there as a stress-free getaway whenever possible and this is one must visit place for everyon. I would say don't think twice while choosing their campsite.

Everything was good, best place to enjoy the nature the scenary outside the tent is worth watching only issue is toilets is not good at all and no bathroom facility available boys will somehow get adjusted but for girls not suitable

Amazing place if you want to get away from all tourists. Absolutely off beat. You're going to enjoy every bit of it, if you're a nature lover. Do not expect too much luxury. It's simple comfortable tent, with mouth lickering typical kodava home food. Camp fire is icing on cake. Sajan nandira is one great host. He'll take care of everything like a family. This is a best place for someone who want to be in nature with bare minimum facilities. Looking forward to visit again.

Top stay, top location, top host! Everyone should visit this place atleast once if they really wanna see the actual Kodagu Land.
Hopefully one day the host organises an event where we get to explore the land more. Kudos to Mr. Sajan for developing the place beautifully.

I had been to Madikeri n stayed in many stays. However, Nandi Campsite was the best of all. The climate, off road experience, hospitality and Saajan, the owner of the place were all extraordinary. I would love to visit this place atleast twice a year.
