Nandi Hills is 60kms from Bangalore, a place with swift turns and crazy hairpin bends. Thats what's actual biker's looks for! It's a place where you can experience nature's attraction. You can see Hills, greenery, temple, water falls. Its a good place to relax from the routine city life. Must reach there really early to witness the sunrise. Truly Beautiful!
I personally recommend you to pick up your bike's or Car's and pay a visit to the beautiful Nandi Hills.
Best time to visit would be from August to December. You better carry your warm clothes as it gets cold out
Had a nice day trek. Start a bit early in the morning so that you may return back before Sun is harsh. Steps are easy to climb. Better to carry own snacks / water.
I had started journey from Hindupur with friends in bike. Reaches early morning at top of the peak upto to that i have felt very bad until i saw the the beauty of Nandi hills. Really, the fog with hills looking great and give you extraordinary feeling. At top the food was little expensive better to get from own. Don't visits weekends or holidays, because at that time people crowd will crash your excitement.
Excellent trek route. The road to the base has recently by remade with concrete. The path has a variety of trees and flowers. Lovely experience especially in the morning.
One can start the climb from below rather than going to Nandi top first and then starting with a descent. There is a route to reach the base of the step path via the Nandi village. The place has just enough parking space for 4 wheelers that we don't run out of it even during weekends. Start early - there is no formal gate that get closed during nights so you can start as early as you feel comfortable. There are no toilets or water sources at the base or anywhere along the way. Altogether about 2000 steps with some areas in the middle where it gets very windy.
The place is beautiful. I would love to go back here to view the sunrise. The weekends draw a lot of crowd here and the narrow roads don't allow for two-way traffic, killing the mood because of slow progress. You might consider going between later afternoon and evening if you aren't too particular about sunrise
Place is good but management is not making efforts in keeping the hill clean. Restaurant people throw their garbage specially plastic in the hill. Needs more Dustbins so it can keep in every visitors reachable place.
It was an exciting experience. Though the steps are steep, there are not too many steps. So, one doesn't really get too tired. Whatever little effort made in climbing us amply rewarded by the beautiful scenic view from the top of the hills. There is a proper restaurant and many licensed food outlets on the top where one can sit and relax and have a quick bite.
A very good tourist place a has a good view in the morning as it is surrounded by misty clouds and it has some good high view point and good photography location and it also has some historic infrastructure and has well surrounded greenery but the food facility in the hotel's is not good
This is like the first place anybody new to b'lore would come to know and it isn't that disappointing of a trip to go! Worth it to go once and watch the sunrise.:) But I would recommend you to take your own breakfast n snacks, as the hotels on the hill are really costly, with no good taste as well.
Awesome place peaceful with cool breeze On the top of the hill we can see the beauti of nature. Please carry hard cash due height their is network issue. Be aware of monkey on of top. Usually they don't attack. There is also temple for worship. Avoid the weekend, Try to be there in early morning so that you can see and feel the nature. Be careful if u hv sm respiratory problems
Beautiful place in Bangalore is Nandi Hills.have visited Nandi Hills too many times by road and can never get bored of it. Today we attempted something totally new. A hike to the top of the hill from Sultanpet. On Mar 20 2019 we left home at about 5: 30 Am We reached the base at about 6: 30 and started the climb and we breathed the fresh morning mountain air As we reached the top we saw Fog cover the entire village and the peaks were just above a layer of cloud. The sky above us was clear and blue. It was a breathtaking sight. It takes all of 45 mins to go up.of course can be done in half the time based on endurance.climb down was about 25 mins. Suggestions: Take few snacks and water bottles to relax yourself

This place is heaven like for newly married couple. Ti skip away from busy hectic schedule and to get rid off tension, Bangaloreans can visit at weeks ends with family and children. Good transport facilities available fromBangalore.
Good beginner hike with some nice views around. Ideal for families. Pack enough water as there are no water sources till one reaches the peak. Steps can be slippery in case it rains.
