Good trekking experience. We started at about 6 AM just as the daylight was breaking out. If you plan to start a little earlier (5: 30 AM) carry a powerful torch. We did not find any secure parking place at the starting point. It took about 50 mins for the trek to the top. The mist covered Nandi hills at the end of the trek was worth the effort.
Nandi Hills Trek. Around 1000 steps to climb and walk through some wild patches and you'll reach to Tipu Sultan's summer place. . Starting point for heritage trail hike with some man-made steps through forested hills. Marvellous to see the clouds covered Nandi peak from this point at it's foothill. . Overall a good short escape from the daily chores and for consumption of fresh nilgiris aroma around you. On the way you'll find some ancient structures and temples and on top usual Nandi Hills experience.

It's quite difficult to track from down to up, there is no way properly, you can use your bike or car then it will be fine, but tracking is not that much great here you didn't found anything while trecking
Really appreciated the steps to get up to Nandi Hills. Makes for a wonderful family trip. The way up is punctuated with rest stops, and quite often friendly street dogs will give you company. There is very little parking at the trek starting point so it might cause difficulties on crowded days/times.
One of the Hill station near from Bangalore. Go there when winter is coming. Reaching to the top is tough task as roads are very narrow without deviders between them. Parking is available which is paid. So many people's come here on weekends. Take extra clothes with you in winter.
Nice place but too crowded. We went to see the sunrise but we were able to see the sun after 11 am, it was such a foggy morning. The entry gate will open only at 6 AM So even if you reach there early you have to wait up to 6AM. Its better to choose week days than weekends. So that you can avoid the crowd. And you can reach there before sunrise. Than the sunrise the road and the road side is beautiful. Many cyclist use this climb as a better morning ride route as the side view is very beautiful in the morning. Have a wide parking spaces in different areas. Its better to park on the top so that you can reduce warking

You can see hundreds of bikes and cars on the way going to Nandi Hills. Do not miss the sunrise. Due to clouds, sometimes you might miss it. But nevertheless, the place is super cool. Just stroll along and enjoy the breeze and clouds. Not to mention the place is over crowded. But still you can find out a quiet corner to imbibe the serenity. The view is amazing. Click some awesome pictures. Eating options not good. Before the sun rises high, take ur bike and head back.

Take a loved one with you to enjoy these beautiful trekking and natural spot. There was no fog on the day we visited. That was a disappointment. No worries still got to see the vast landscape.
It's a good place to visit for all scenery lovers. It's located 1km above the ground level with amazing views. We can see the roads from the top which looks like some snakes and also some other mountains which has no pathway. The tipu's drop is surfaced with a large hard rock where one can take good photos there. This place has local foods like mangoes sprinkled with chilli powder and other stuff. There is also a temple here. Tipu's Drop is one of the oldest visiting places. It is located on a hilltop on a cliff which lies 600 m above the elevated ground. One gets a beautiful view of all the hill ranges from the hill top.ya this place is very nice
Old pathway of fort on Nandi hill. Started trekking at 7 AM. (One should try even earlier to view sunrise at top). There are remnants of bygone era, from resting points on the way to top, some dating to 14th century. Liked the cool morning breeze. There is a natural cave temple near the top dedicated to Shiva which is 600 yr old. After that we came across Tipu's resting place and beautiful step well. One can find a small garden on it's left (not accessible to public). On it's right, there is a pathway to hill top through the woods.
The best spot for a family walk on a single day. Near Bangalore, Reach the top of the hill to see the sunrise and sunset. It is worthwhile to pay a visit. Provided Nice parking facility for 2 and 4 wheelers.
Best place for one day hike with family. Near to Bangalore visit with your family and enjoy the sunrise and sunset at the tip of the hill. Karnataka tourism played a very good role in improvement of Nandi hills. Worth to visit.
A very nice trekking place. The steps are good so there’s no danger of climbing. It takes approximately 1 hr to reach the top. It’s always better to climb before 7 am so that we can enjoy the climb and the top. Getting down takes nearly 30 to 45 minutes. There’s lot of resting place also while climbing. We do t get water on the way, so it’s better if taken. There’s no dedicated parking place, but there’s plenty of space to park the cars and bikes just before the trekking start point. The path is a cemented road. If climbing in Jan or Feb it’s chilling. The climb can also be done by young children.
Nice place and well paved cement road. Ample space to park your 2 & 4 wheelers. Parking is on the road. Nice ambience and good way to start the hiking.
“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ” "Nature always wears the colors of the spirit. " "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything . Nice place.
The trekking point is actually open 24/7, So it not a problem but do remember there are some poisonous reptiles too. If carried precautionary things (torch, lighter etc,) your trekking will be awesome just take care of the cold weather

Simply awesome With a couple of bikes four of us left on a ride to Nandi Hills on a cool breezy morning by 4.30 a.m. It was too cold might be somewhere nearer to 10* Celsius when we left home. By 5 a.m. We were on the highway towards airport, on a normal speed as this road will always be busy with vehicles plying towards airport. It didn’t take more than 30 minutes for us to reach the junction on the main road from where we have to take a left towards Nandi hills and we stopped there for a 10 minute tea break as our bodies were shivering due to cold weather. The previous night had seen a little rain which had led to much more drop ion temperature.
