Location was so awesome although it a away from city but that's what you want when you're looking for a getaway. You'll be treated with "Benzie" a German shepherd who's so polite. Kudos to the owner who's really kind and generous and polite. In the mornings you would hear the peacocks if you get lucky. If not, Benzie is always there to cheer you up. Overall, the best experience. Wish there were more stars Ansar sir I would've given honestly.

We had an amazing stay. The place was so beautiful, calm and serene. And most beautiful part was the lovely hospitality by the Mr. Ansar and his family. Home made delicious food served with so much love by the family. One will definitely feel like home. Thank you Ansar sir and your family for making us feel so comfortable. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Naturecraft is a beautiful homestay. We loved staying there. It was calm and serene. Mr Ansar, his family and his pets will always be remembered for their amazing hospitality, stories and love for the forest and the wild. One can go here to commute to other places or just for a weekend getaway. It was a soothing experience away from the city life. I would recommend anyone who wishes to live amongst a coffee estate and get a small exposure to live close to nature. Looking forward to go back here again.

Had a beautiful stay at NatureCraft Homestay. Felt like living in a home away from home.
Th whole estate is beautiful and peaceful.we spent quite a lot of time taking long walks around the estate.

Rooms n Bathrooms are neat and clean, nothing to complain.
Food and company was delicious. Special mention of the mutton biryani and curry that Ansar’s mother and wife cooked, it was the best. My wife was vegetarian, so the veg food was also very nice.
We spent a lot of time listening to Ansar’s mother stories which were very interesting about the estate and life there. His dog benzy was also very friendly.
Ansar recommended few places around to visit and restaurants to eat out, all were great.

Overall it was a great stay, the whole experience felt very personal and we will be going back there soon.

The place is value for money. Actually more than value for money. It’s a very cozy homestay situated in the midst of coffee plantations. Ansar and his family are an awesome hosts. And their home cooked food is finger licking and delicious. I would recommend their homestay for a serene get away in the woods.

It is a good place to spend time with your family. The owner is friendly and helpful. He kept this place simple. The homestay is within his small coffee plantation not far from the road. They kept the dinner items simple and restricted to few items. We had mutton biryani in one of our dinner over there. They have a huge dog - Poker. He is very friendly. Overall, we had a good time in this homestay.

It was literally a HOME away from home. If you are looking for a place with scenic beauty, hospitable stay with privacy, away from town yet near to it then go for it.this is exactly what you are looking for. Ansar sir was very friendly and guided us throughout our trip. Best thing is, it's located admist the coffee estate, so you can scout around whenever you want to.

It was an awesome home stay inside coffee plantation in chikmangaluru. The owner and his family is very nice and good people. Food was also very nice and simple, however they don't serve lunch. The plantation is very beautiful and must visit during November-December to have the harvesting experience

Uncle and aunty's warmth and hospitality touched my soul. And the food, simply unbelievable.

We had an amazing experience at Naturecraft Homestay, Chikmaglur. Mr. Ansar treated us like family members and we never felt that we are away from home. It's a homestay in real sense as it has home like facilities and food. Mrs. Ansar and her Mother-in-Law served us delicious home made food which is the hallmark of this homestay. It was our first visit to chikmagalur and Naturecraft Homestay made it memorable. The host and family are very welcoming and humble. Food served is home cooked and very delicious. Owner of this estate ie *Nature Craft Home Stay* is very generous and happy person always ready to give his best services to his clients. We felt very happy and wonderful in the lap of nature having it's own fragrance. Luckily weather was very good intermittently raining. Location is very good associated with delicious dinings. The stay was absolutely heartwarming! Ansar and his family are great hosts and they made everything for us as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this homestay! The location is amazing as well, not too far from the city yet in the midst of greenery. The BIRYANI was so yummy. I will remember the taste for a very long time:)

This is located just on the road but once you enter into it, it looks like a forest only.

7. Hot water is available for a limited period in the Morning as the water is heated using a woods burning system (you won't realise it how you're getting hot water, we were curious so asked him about the process) so it says hot for 6-7 hours

9. They have a pet from family of St. Bernard
10. You can go for a short walk inside the homestay

One thing that initially was off-set for me was unavailability of electric kettle in the rooms for warm water in such cool weather but as per the clarification by the owner, the power is on UPS not on grid hence chances of power cut due to kettle but the family will give you hot drinking water directly from kitchens, whenever you ask for it:) As I said they are of helping nature.
12. Reasonable price.

It was a wonderful stay at NatureCraft. Mr Ansar was very helpful and kind. He recommended some good place to eat in Chikmaglur and it was very good. The homestay is situated around 5-6 km from chikmaglur and in the forrest. We were 5 people and he gave us whole cottage to stay in. Thank you for the bonfire also Mr Ansar and lots of love to Poker. Will recommended your place to friends and family.

It was a pleasant stay, Ansar and his family are excellent hosts, they treated us like a family and the food cooked by his mom and wife was delicious. Rooms were neat and clean.

I've stayed at Nature Craft thrice now in the past 2 years and each time, the experience gets better and better.

Location: The homestay is located away from the bustling town and is surrounded by tall silver oaks. It's a serene, peaceful place. We stayed here for 3 days this time and it was a wonderful experience. They did a temperature check upon arrival.

Rooms: The rooms are spacious with big windows. The beds are clean, fresh, and sanitized. The bathrooms are well maintained and big. The hot water in the morning for showers is heated in the traditional wood-fired samover. It just takes away all the aches.

Food: the food, by far, has to be the best ever served in a homestay. Naseem aunty and Nishath, the owners served delicious mutton biryani, mutton khorma, chicken kababs, gulab jamoons and phirni during our stay.

Hospitality: Anzar bhai, the host and his family make you feel like family and take you into their fold. They are friendly and genial folks, who treat guests like family. They regaled us with stories and showered upon us so much love. The experience is of being with family but without the family drama.lol! I went here to get away from the stress and havoc 2020 has wrought upon us and came back home rejuvenated and energized.

Its a very very simple but yet very clean and hygienic place to stay.with the current scenario of Carona pandemic. Its a nice place to feel home and secured

Highly recommended homestay in Chickmagalur. The hosts, the place, the serenity are all perfect. There is hardly anything to pin point in terms of short comings. I stayed here during Christmas 2019; and was the perfect setting for nice chilly evenings.

We were a group of 5 girls and had a really good time at the homestay. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s considering staying there with their family or friends.

The estate has pepper and coffee plants and we got a very informative tour of it from the owner. We also got to taste raw green pepper and sweet coffee beans from the plants there. The rooms are surrounded by beautiful flowers. The owners have a handsome and well behaved St. Bernard.

The owners were extremely warm and friendly and made our stay really comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was included in our package and the meals were probably the highlight of our stay there. We really enjoyed our conversations with the owners and other people who were staying at the estate.

We got a cottage with two rooms and two attached baths. The cottage can easily accommodate over 8 people. Drinking water, blankets, soap, tea/coffee was provided. While the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, they weren’t “fancy”. The house was eco-friendly and hence there was no power backup so we had to use candles for a while. Personally, I thought that enhanced our experience there! Food was served at the owners’ beautiful and old house which had red oxide floors and pretty furniture (some of which was made from old coffee plants by the owners).

I’d definitely like to visit again with my family for the beautiful estate and for the hospitality of the owners.

I visited Naturecraft Homestay on 1st November with my friends and totally loved it. The name of the homestay owner is Ansar. Since we reached at 3pm and he wasn't around, he told his daughter to open the cottage for us. When we were refreshed at 5pm and came out searching for some coffee, Mr. Ansar's wife served filter coffee prepared from coffee plants in their backyards. I must say that was one of the best coffee's I've ever had. The food was delicious. We were served mutton curry, chicken biryani, and pulao for dinner. There were veg options too, but since all of us were non vegetarian we went for these options. For breakfast we were served Omlette, upma and vermicelli. Mr. Ansar is a great host and even helped us when we were stuck in a difficult situation at the Mullayanagiri peak. The USP of this place is the St. Bernard named Poker. An amazing host, Poker shows his love and affection towards the guests.

Just a small suggestion would be to have hot water for bathing in the evening as well. I have had firewood geysers at my native place and i know it's a tedious job to heat water. But a hot bath after a days tour would be great! I'm sure Mr. Ansar will take a note of this.

Overall, it was a great stay, and we all enjoyed a lot. Thanks Mr. Ansar for the hospitality.

Very comfortable and Nice stay. The owner and their all family members especially Mr. Ansar and his mother are very charming and delightful. Very delicious homely food especially the chicken biryani and dry chicken were awesome. I would love to revisit again and again if need arises.

I had an amazing time at Nature Craft home-stay. Ansar and his family were extremely warm and made us feel at home. Their dog Poker is super friendly and has so much love to give. The food served was delicious. Aunty makes the best chicken dum biryani! Overall we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay here.

We have been visiting Mr. Ansar’s home stay for the past 10 years, and it has been a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless, with clean linen and towels. The food is hygienic and very delicious. In fact, his wife and mother are biryani and kebab experts! The property is serene and is a great place to stroll around, read a book or simply destress. You can stay here, making it a base to explore the Malanad region.

We stayed for New year's eve in Mr. Ansar's homestay and were very satisfied with every aspect of our stay. The homestay is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed.  

Dinner and Breakfast was substantial. Natural ambience around homestay and smiling face of each member of his family made us nostalgic. Not to forget Poker, who mingled with us easily and enjoyed our company.

I recommend this homestay to everyone and request to have taste of home cooked Biryani and Chikmagalur coffee prepared with so much love and effort. I can definitely say that it is going to be our regular travelling destination!

We went to all other nearby home stays and had check, they were too commercial, overrated and over priced.

1. Great Hosts. Have been to this place multiple times and Mr. Ansar and family have been very warm and friendly to talk to
2. Food - Super tasty! Perfect home cooked food with amazing taste. You cannot go wrong with this Biryani!
3. Proximity to tourist places around - This place is about 8 Km from the city. 20 KM to Bhadra reserve and within driveable distance to Mullayanagiri, Bababudangiri etc.
4. Rooms - the rooms are clean with big windows that let in lot of light and cool breeze. The bathrooms are big and well maintained. You have an additional small bed next to the double cot as well!

Minor suggestions -
1. Revamp the badminton rackets.
2. Bolts to the doors need some attention.

I was frantically looking for safe lodges to go to with my kids and could not finalize on any because of the mixed reviews. A lone woman traveling with young kids is mostly a scary idea.

Although I had my own apprehensions about coming to a homestay, this one was a class apart. Located amidst the wilderness, sounds of peacocks, variety of birds, crickets and what not, there is no dull moment in this place. The people, Ansar bhai, Nishath and auntyji, all treated us like family with yummy food for breakfast and dinner. Me and my kids were pampered, spoiled and refreshed at the end of the two day trip.

Loved how friendly the host, Mr Ansar and his family were. The homestay is clean and well maintained. They provided home cooked food and it was delicious! Mr Ansar's mother took us through the different varieties of plants and flowers they were maintaining, which was quite fascinating. They also have a very friendly St Bernard, Poker.

Amazing place for enjoying with friends and home stay they given good facility and food and friendly behavior with customers. Good place for mind relax.

I had been here in July 2018. The first and foremost point that comes in my mind, is the hospitality of the owner and his family and the food quality. The quality and taste of food shows that they put their heart and soul into it:).
The place is serene and far away from the town.
This is a homestay, so do not expect resort type of amenities, and by the way it's a 50 year old property so it gives a good nostalgia of good old homes.
Would surely recommend to people looking for some peaceful place.
