Nava Brindavana is guru sthan of Shree Raghavendra swami. This is also the holiest place for madvas as shree raghavendra swami is know to be their ila velupu or family god.

To reach here you can travel in bus from every district to hosapet and from there you should reach anegunde. Via train hosapet is connected with train from different cities, mainly bangalore and hyderabad, as far as i know!

Once you reach hampi or anegunde, you need to reach the banks of Tungabhadra and hire a Coracle Boat and they charge 20 to 40 rupees for one way depending on the crowd.during heavy flow of water in tungabhadra it is tough to reach the place but in summers its advisable to go as the flow of water is less.

Once you reach the place you will flow in bliss of divinity and really start feeling the power of the place.this also happens to be the capital city of lord of Monkeys, Sugriva and Vali.there are many such places which one can explore but one should be patient enough to explore.

Divine space amidst divine ambience in natures lap.wish it is maintained in better ways. Have to take a dicey boat ride to this place. Again Govt to take note, utharadi mutt ti take note to make this place what it deserves.

This island in Hampi is very powerful place. There are 9 Jeeva brindhavanam. The main brindhavanam of vyasaraja is here. You will have to take a boat to reach this place. Tungabhadra river has many such good places. You need to carry all necessary items with you. You can't gt anything here.

Srimanmularamo Vijayate
Located on an island in the Tungabhadra River at Anegundi near Hampi, Karnataka, India. The nine Brindavans of Hindu Madhva saints in Nava Brindavan belong to Vyasaraja Math and Raghavendra Math. All these saints are descendants of Padmanabha Tirtha, a direct disciple of Jagadguru Madhvacharya.

Hanuman is a powerful avatar in Navabrindhavana
Nava Brindavan is a small island in the Tungabhadra river near Hampi or Vijayanagara. It is one of the holiest places for the Madhvas as it houses the Brindavans (final resting place of the nine Madhva saints). Vyasatirtha's Brindavan is in the center while the other eight saints' Brindavans are in a rough circle. A yellow circle is drawn on the ground in front of the shrines to maintain peace and courtesy around the Jivasamadhi of the nine shrines. Pilgrims are not allowed to cross this path so as not to disturb the meditation of holy saints. Besides the Brindavans, there are also temples dedicated to Lord Ranganatha (a form of Vishnu) and Hanuman. This Hanuman idol installed here by Sri Vyasaraja is truly unique. It depicts three avatars - Hanuma, Bhima and Madhva in one form. The face is like that of Hanuman, the arms and shoulders are well rounded and the muscles with Gadhayudha symbolize Bhima, the incarnation of Hanuman in the next age and the manuscripts in his hands symbolize Madhvacharya.

ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಂಗಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಆನೆಗುಂದಿ ಬಳಿಯ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ತೀರದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ದೋಣಿ ವಿಹಾರ.

We have to take a short boat ride to reach the place.

Water was not much.used the boat to cross the river and had to walk for about half a kilometre.the sanctums are now guarded by steel fence.only the gurukkals are allowed to enter the fence. There are about 20 to 30 CCTV cameras installed now. We made outer pradhikshanas and received the blessings.now you are asked to enter the details like ur name, whr from, mob number etc.in a register.

Right now the road is under construction almost completed. Still one can easily reach it. When we went there coracle to cross the waters was not available. The entire area is very scenic and beautiful.

A must visit holy place for Madhwa tradition followers. Excellent road connectivity through national highways and many historical and spiritual places near by.

Approach road is not good. But, it is worth driving over there. You need to cross the lake using coracle which is a good experience too. There is an ancient hanuman temple. Don't miss the river water flow view on other side of the temple!

On an island of Tungbhadra river. Place of 9 Vaishnava saints live Samadhi. We took motor boat to cross the river. Had dip in river and meditated.

Navabrundaavana is a small island situated nearby to Anegundi 20 Kms away from Gangavathi, near Hampi, Karnataka, From Anegundi one has to cross River Tungabhadra by boat to reach Navabrindavana. It contains the Brundaavanas of nine Hindu Madhva saints, who belong to the Sri Uttaradi Math, Sri Raghavendra Math, Sri Vyasaraja Math and the Sri SriPadaraja mutt and Other Various Prominent Madhwa Mutts followers of Madhvacharya, and predecessors of Sri Raghavendra. The nine saints are: Shri Padmanabha Tirtha, direct disciple of Jagadguru Shri Madhvacharya, Shri Kavindra Tirtha, Shri Vagisha Tirtha, Shri Raghuvarya Tirtha, Shri Vyasatirtha, Shri Sudhindra Tirtha, Guru of Mantralaya Shri Raghavendra Tirtha, Shri Srinivaasa Tirtha, Shri Raama Tirtha, Shri Govinda Vodeyaru.

This is one of the most holy spots for Madhwas as it contains the Brindavanas (final resting place of nine Madhwa saints). The Brindavana of Vyasa Theerta is at the centre while the Brindavana of other eight saints are in a rough circle. There is a yellow line drawn around the periphery of the Brindavanas. One can catch a ferry either from Gangavathi side or Hampi side (Talagarighatta Gate).

It is on this island that Vyasa Raja in his earlier avatar as Prahalada had meditated to get rid of his dosha of getting his father, Hiranyakashapyu, killed by Lord Narasimha. Some of the saints who have visited Nava Brindavana are Raghavendra Swamy and Raghuttama Tirtha among others and Purandara Dasa and Kanaka Dasa.

Padmanabha Theertha is the first Madhwa saint to enter Brindavana at Nava Brindavana. He was the first disciple of the Madhwacharya.and He ascended the Dwaitha throne after Madhwacharya. His original name was Shobana Bhatta. He was a well-known logician of his times and he lost a marathon debate to Madhwacharya after which he converted to Dwaitaism. He was regarded highly by the fifth head of the Dwaitha Samrajya.

The second Brindavana here is that of Kavindra Theertha. He is believed to be the brother of Rajendra Theertha, the founder of Vyasaraja Matha. He was earlier known as Vasudeva Shastry. The first bifurcation of the Padmanabha Theertha paramapara or Peetha took place when Vidyadhiraja handed over the reins to Kavindra Theertha.

Vageesha Theertha's Poorvashrama name was Raghunathacharya. He was one of the greatest scholars of his time. He was the third Madhwa saint to enter Brindavana at Nava Brindavana. He was the successor of Kavindra Theertha. He entered Brindavana sometime in 1406.

Vyasa Theertha or Vyasa Raja was the Raja Guru of six Vijayanagar Emperors, including Krishnadevaraya. He had a large number of disciples including Vadiraja Tirtha. His works are considered to be among the most significant in Madhwa literature.

Srinivasa Theertha succeeded Vyasa Theertha to the Vyasaraja Matha. He was also the Raja Guru of Achuta Deve Raya.

Rama Theertha followed Srinivasa Theertha to the Peetha of Vyasaraja Matha. It was during the period of Rama Theertha that the first split of the Vyasa Raja Matha took place. Both Lakshmikantha Theertha and Sridhara Theertha took Sanyas from Rama Teertha. Thus the Abbur Matha or Kundapur Matha and Sosale Matha came into existence.

Sudheendra Theertha was the Guru of Shri Raghavendra Swamy. He was also the “Shishya” given to Vijayeendra Theertha by Vyasa Raja himself. He was the Raja Guru of Raghunatha Bhoopala of Tanjore. Raghavendra Swamy himself made arrangements for the Brindavana Pravesha of Sudhindra Theertha.

Govinda Odeyar was a disciple of Vyasa Theertha. He was an Advaitha scholar and he entered into a debate with Vyasa Theertha and lost. He accepted the Dwaitha way of life and joined the large number of disciples of Vyasa Theertha. He entered Brindavana at Nava Brindavana much earlier than Vyasa Theertha.

Navabrundhaavana is a parihara sthalam for child birth. There are also shrines to Lord Ranganatha and Lord Hanuman inside the premises.
Must have darshan.

A sacred place nine of the most prominent Madwa seers bridhavana is located here and historically very significant place in Bhuloka. Many of the great Divine DemiGods have graced this ancient isle in the middle of Tungabadra Kishkinda Hari Sarvothama Vayu Jeevothama

Good place to visit, every body should visit.

Amazing place full of positive energy. It houses 9 brundaavanas of Madhwa Gurus including that of Sri. Vyasaraja who was the Raja Guru of Sri. Krishnadevaraya. This place is not so famous and you may not see too many tourists. It is quiet and peaceful all the time.

Eventhough visited Manthralaya several times, didnot know about the Navabrindavan, the samadhi place of gurus of Raghavendra Swamiji. It was a wonderful place.but during rainy season or if more water is in Tungabhadra boat journey to that place will be difficult. Marshy way need to be improved. Many may visit.

It’s a mostly unknown place, please try to visit if possible. I will sure u people will enjoy the boating, the small small caves.the Tungabhadra river was so clean

Peaceful and serene place in the midst of the river. Take a small (5min) boat ride from northern part of river to this place. It's covered by water and mountain rocks from all sides. Nav (9) rishis took live samadhi here.just be there and feel their peaceful presence.
