Nethravathi Guest House in Dharmasthala is a gem. Modern amenities, spotless rooms, and friendly staff ensure a pleasant stay. The serene surroundings add to the tranquility. Conveniently located, it's an excellent choice for a comfortable and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
In my 30 years of visit to Netravathi guest house whenever I visit Dharmastala, this year 2023 the stay at netravati was totally bad. The rooms are very untidy, curtains are all smeared with eye liner and what not and have not been washed or replaced. Bathroom is totally very bad. Receptionist people needs some training on etiquettes. Whatever we say on reviews administration will anyway turn deaf or blind but atleast customers who read reviews can know to avoid or be prepared of what to expect from the services.
Best place to stay if you are looking for a cheap and best stay near the temple. A/C rooms are well maintained and clean. Hot water is available. Parking is available near by. Great food is available just opposite to the guest house. Very affordable and tasty choices.
This is such a nice place.top priority for hygiene. For tourist place is out of the world for cost and accessibility. It's 2 min walk to temple n with good parking and view outside the room.must say very impressive thank you Dharmastala truly by the name n fame. Om namah shivaya
The guest house is super conveniently located abt 100 meters from the temple entry area. Has restaurants right across the road and has earmarked parking space for guests of the guesthouse.
Book online and to avoid the disappointment of reading "no rooms available" board. Has lifts and has water coolers on each floor. A great value for money.
This hotel is very near to the temple, we can book online as well, cancellation 2 days before we get 50%refund. I paid a 1000+100 fee, which allowed 2 people per room but we can adjust for 3 extra 1 bed available
Good place nicely maintained. Courteous service.drinking water made available in all floors; lift facility available.but one has to climb 8-10 steps to get into the GH.
Has very neatly maintained rooms. The bathrooms are exceptionally maintained. It has balconies for every room with a scenic view of the temple’s premises. Expect water cuts during midnight as Dr. Veerendra Heggade has said there is shortage of water at Dhramasthala (as of 24th May, 2019). Otherwise it’s a great place to stay. You can book rooms for this and many other lodges online also.
We were there on March 12-13th 2019. Booked two AC rooms online & one on the spot (P.s: always always book rooms ahead of time and ONLINE as the staff won’t always entertain on the spot booking). Receptionist acted up when we arrived at 10pm on the day of booking though my booking said 2pm arrival. As the rooms were paid upfront I didn't think that was a problem yet the receptionist gave us gyan as to why we didn’t arrive on time. When I explained that I had called 3-4 times to let you know we will be late and no one answered, he yelled at me that I should read terms and conditions. Anyways! This was my first time ever, meeting someone so rude and that too in Dharmasthala! My Dad stepped in otherwise we (the receptionist and I) would have gotten into argument easily.
4 stars only because:
Rooms were spacious & super clean common area and bathroom, also 24/7 hot water!
Word of caution: even though you may have booked AC room always ensure to speak to the receptionist and TURN ON or SET the right temp, because we realized middle of the night that the temperatures were set too high in 2 of 3 rooms and AC in one room was completely off and after few visits we got it turned on to the right temp.
PLUS: There is an amazing Trupti Upahar right in front of Nethravati! Amazing food We were a gang of 9 people and tried everything on their menu except poori and we thoroughly enjoyed!
All in all our Dharmasthala visit was a beautiful and pleasant one! Didn’t let the rude receptionist affect it
A decent place to stay. Affordable, no-frills, and clean. It is difficult to get rooms, so please reserve in advance, and confirm it before you start your trip.
Best place to stay in Dharmastala. Nethravathi guest is maintained by temple. The rooms are renovated and very clean. Pricing of rooms is affordable. Free parking space is available just opposite to the guest house. Restaurant too is available in front of the guest house. Temple is just 5 minutes walk. Room check in and check out was very smooth. Rooms can be booked online by visiting Dharmastala temple website. Rooms have balconies.
Worst way to talk to non locals doesn’t have the etiquette’s of piligirmage. They charge 1200 per day for A/c room but the room is not clean as the air smells dusty with A/c on and the fan runs on one speed i.e 5. If you change from 5 to any speed it shuts. Could be a possibility that they don’t cater the hospitality to people who are not locals or speak kannada. When asked don’t you provide towels or clean room the management speaks rude saying we don’t. While checking in when asked to show the room they deny and tear people bad. I do even have the pics
