Worst food.hotel has very bad Smell
Biriyani is fully waste. Price is very high. I'm very disappointed

I stopped by for lunch since it was close to the hotel I was staying at.
There is a 1st floor and a 2nd floor, and the number of seats is relatively large.
This time I ordered Egg Biryani.
The rice doesn't seem to be basmati rice, but it's filling and delicious.
The prices are also reasonable, so please stop by when you're nearby.
It was a feast.

Worst taste in the history, I think they fooling around bengaluru people from 1908 by faking the reviews, server behaves like rowdy, price too high and not at all worth the hype. Worst ambience, totally I do not recommend, sorry I command everybody DO NOT to visit THIS PLACE

Don't expect any ambience. Food is also average. Biryani is below average. No cleanliness at all.

Good & tasty food. If you guys like the Donne Biriyani then this is the best place for Biriyani. This is the right place to have Biriyani early morning

Parking is a big problem here & I ordered Chicken pulav cost was worthy enough but they had used with skin chicken for biryani I prefer they must have used Skin out & fr a plate they had given 5 pieces this is a appreciable thing. Pepper chicken is a must try! Overall a decent experience

Though it is a military hotel still the family should not visit the hotel, the atmosphere and cleanliness is ruled out here.

Food also very very salty and the taste is not all great, i visited here because of some youtuber suggested but i myself disappointed with family.

Tasty chicken and mutton pulav at very reasonable rates available from 7.30 am. Also, their pepper chicken, Chilli chicken and dry mutton items are outstanding. Good and tasty value for money

There is so much hype for this Military Hotel. I was eager to visit this so called legendary eatery. On reaching the restaurant, the atmosphere was just off, the place was very unhygienic. After ordering the chicken palav and waiting for 10 minutes. I was served cold food which was bland and chicken pieces were dry and rubbery. Other guests too complained about the same issues.

My recommendation is not to visit this place and deserves just 1 star.

Old time classic, started in 1908, still has the original taste and interiors.

Highly affordable and very fast service, friendly atmosphere by the waiters and excellent service. Since they cook limited quantity of food, not all menu items will be available by 2PM, so plan to get their early.

Mutton pulav is the signature of this restaurant, all dishes are made in perfection. Keema balls are really awesome. Morning breakfast in weekends here is bit risky as its crowded. Leg soup available here all day.

Idli was hard. Dosa not available & plain pulav not ready.as they mention it will be ready in early morning. But sucks went at 8 am. Very bad experience no value for money. Taste very bad Not good as mentioned. I don't recommend this hotel.there better hotels other than this, as hotel means it should balance the taste of dish & dishes. In the opening time itself all mentioned dishes should be ready to serve it was 8 store open at 6 pulav was not ready & said no Dosa preparation in hotel.

This is the one of the worst hotels ever please do not enter it I am not joking I had a worst experience it's not worth it.

This is over a 100 years old restaurant. Serving hot Biriyani and starters. Tender and well cooked mutton and chicken dishes. The paya and leg soup is tasty. Pocket friendly. Hygiene is questionable. Place is not maintained well. Visit for nostalgia

One of the worst biriyani I ever had, just a over rated place. Here biriyani is served as pulau and its nothing but a plain colour rice with some aroma with no taste. I took chicken pulau and a pepper chicken dry, pulau was horrible and pulau was tasteless. Dont go for youtube reviews, you'll regret.

Tried donne biryani, pepper chicken - lived up to the name. They should expand to other locations in the city and make the dishes more accessible.

Very much over hyped
Rice was like normal white rice and a bit color on it, pepper and chilli chicken was good but a bit over priced for very little quantity.
Over all try to avoid if you are really thinking to visit from far places, doesn't worth the hype.

Had Mutton Biryani with lot of expectations but found to be pretty ordinary not much of flavour it similar to a veg rice bath.

Very good and tasty food served here.
Military hotel, all the food in the menu is good, but Naati chicken masala is the best in the menu.

The biriyani is not oily and does not upset the stomach.

The prices are reasonable and very affordable in my opinion.

Nice traditional taste n worth visiting if ur looking for best biryani n chilli chicken. Morning breakfast is best by 7am

Since the change of hands taste has changed (not even aroma) has been maintained. Sad state of one of the iconic biryani (Maratha) haunts of this locality.

More conveniently located, visible from the main road. Biryani taste has not changed since ages. Lip smacking biryanis. Love it all the more

This Hotel Is Operating Since 1908 & I Have Been Visiting This Place Past 2½ Decades & The Taste, Quality & Quantity Hasn't Come Down A Bit, They Start Serving Hot Hot "GOOEY BIRYANI" & Other Mutton & Chicken Side Dishes From 6 Early Morning. Mutton Liver Fry, Mutton Chops & Kaima Balls Are Awesome. U Can Try Any Dishes & All The Masala & Taste Would Be Different & Excellent.

Service - 9/10
Place - 6/10

No reason to eat anywhere else but here. It's that good. If you're in majestic area, this is the best non-veg choice since Navayuga stopped being tasty and SGS became a hotspot for goons and thugs.
My only regret while eating pulav rice and chili chicken was, why did I finish so soon.
The staff are old time Bengalurians. So, expect amazing hospitality, humbleness and prompt waiting. No attitude or no cheating by the staff.

Old Bangalore palav at New Govind Rao. Good food at a great price. Isn't for people looking for a great ambience and hygiene.
