The buffet spread is good, however, the non-veg items disappoint. Mutton curry is really bad and so called prawns in the prawn malai curry aren't really prawns, they are merely tiny shrimps. Also, as an extra word of caution, a bottle of water costs 140 bucks.

Best place for non-veg lovers near to Bangalore Cantonment.

Chicken and Mix Veg in Main Course.
After yummy meals, enjoyed famous dessert Nolen Gur Icecream and Bhapa Sandesh.

Must visit this place for Non-Veg food.

We ordered rosogulla and it cost 100 rs one pc.its a regular rosogulla of poor quality which you can get at any roadside shop.

Considering the cost i was expecting quality and quantity. Extremely disappointed.

The best restaurant in town for authentic, fresh, and delicious Bengali food. We visited during Pujo and there was a special buffet. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and Bengali food never tasted this good. There were plenty of options even for vegetarians. The price for the buffet was reasonable considering the wide variety of food on offer. The service was good. Waiters and servers were polite, friendly, and catered to all our requests. The atmosphere was sober and the spirit of festivity lingered gingerly in the air. Will definitely visit the restaurant again and would highly recommend it to anyone craving Bengali food or anyone wanting to try authentic Bengali food for the first time.

Everything is fine. But I was unable to taste all the food on my first visit. Fish fry is awesome and the mistanno.

Awesome place for authentic bengali food/cuisine, loved the mutton dishes, not a fish lover myself, but my family did love both the prawn and hilsa preparation, also its better to book seats before hand if you dont want to wait

Awesome experience. Was in my must visit place in bangalore, rather it should be a must visit list for every Bong. Ambience and the hospitality of the staffs is very good and professional. Try mochar chop and Calcutta fish fry. Chicken cutlet I will also suggest. Gondhoraj shorbot is must try in non-alcoholic beverages. I had luchi and phoolkopi Dalna which was "Oshadhoron". You can try luchi with kosha mangsho, the taste will remind you back to kolkata. Quantity of food is value for money.

The ambience of the place is very awesome. Staff are very well behaved and give good response towards each customer. The food quality is very good and also the staff who was helping us the food named santosh was really good.must try gurer sondesh.

I was a regular customer for Oh Calcutta Gurgaon but Bangalore I visited for the first time. It was very good experience with food taste and service. Thanks to Santosh for the great service. All the food we ordered was amazing.

10-12 years old perception/image of Oh Calcutta has changed today. If Oh Calcutta in Church Street signifies authentic Bengali food, then it's a shame for all Bengalis.
We visited today (17th Oct) thinking that the puja rush would be over and we can have some good food. Luckily, it was only me and my wife, otherwise it would have been the embarassment of my life. We got a two seater table, and it took 20 mins and 3 requests for someone to come and give us a menu card. Let me tell you, the restaurant was not even full, I could see atleast 3-4 tables empty (I honestly feel for those who chose this place during Durga Puja). So, we placed the order. Kolkata Bhetki Fry, Luchi, Cholar Dal, Plain Rice and Kosha Mangso. Fish fry was quick and it was good and then started the disaster. We waited for atleast 20 mins more for the next courses to come. And to my surprise, all the dishes came together (I mean seriously? A so called fine dine restaurant don't even know how to serve courses? , Not sure about FINEDINE though, but they match the pricing). Cholar Dal was half boiled dal in some salty soup, Mutton was cold and atleast I was happy to see a warm proper rice, they couldn't screw that atleast. Then we ordered Nolen Gurer Ice Cream. It came in one small bowl with atleast 60% melted. Upon asking, the waiter said it's the Gur, not melted. Atleast in my 30 years of life span, I could distinguish between The Gur and Melted Ice Cream. But as usual they thouht customer is a fool. I didn't quit this time and asked some few more questions and he took it back and said, freezer was not working (The Truth Revealed)

My simple words to people who actually are exposed to Bengali food on daily basis and want to try something authentic, then stay away. You have some far superior options in Bangalore. You will feel cheated and trust me, you can cook better than this. No point in spending your hard earned money for a place where food and service both are extremely poor and embarassing in the name of Bengal.

Lastly, I have asked them to pack my left over Cholar Dal, and they packed in a foil paper box. Are you serious? It has spilled everywhere.they could have asked for Rs. 10 more for a proper container. Sad, extremely sad. Last time I had a horrible experience with Mainland China, this time it's Oh. Calcutta. The entire chain has lost its shrine.

The food is really awesome! The quality, taste, quantity is simply the best. It's an authentic bengali restaurant and you won't be disappointed. Undoubtedly THE BEST BENGALI restaurant in Bangalore. The hilsa fish was so fresh and was made we asked them to. It was a treat for us today and we will definitely visit again!

Ambience is just wow. Excellent and delicious mouth watering Bengali cuisine. Just go and enjoy the delicacies.

A fine fine place for Bengali cuisine with some unique items in menu.
Ordered there peas dhokar dalna through swiggy. It was really good prepared perfectly having that authentic homely Bengali taste and portion size was perfect for one person. Packaging was done nicely too with no spill.

Food taste was not good at all. Hilsa was not fresh and the Mutton Curry tasted bad. However the Kacha Lonka chicken curry was delicious. And nolen gurer ice cream tasted great as always. As we didn't eat the Mutton Curry at all, they deducted the price and provided Complementary sweets which were tasteless as well. Bhetki fish fry and Chingri cutlet tasted mediocre. I will not recommed this place as it's so expensive but food quality is not up to the standard of Oh Calcutta Kolkata branch.

Perhaps the best fine dining Bengali restaurant in Bangalore. It will pinch a hole in your pocket but is totally worth it!

Buffet food was average. Starters were good, main course food were very salty. Dessert could have been better with more variety.

Lemme say it outright, I love Oh! Calcutta. As a Bengali who's lived outside West Bengal most of my life, Oh Calcutta let me connect with my roots and I've been a regular patron for the past 10 odd years now. We'd visited Oh Calcutta for lunch because I wanted to give my friends a taste of Bengali cuisine and damn we had a blast. We started off with a plate of Mochar chop (coz my girlfriend is unfortunately vegetarian) and some prawns cutlets, followed with Luchi (the Bengali equivalent of Poori, but a million times better) and Aloo - Cauliflower Tarkari, which reminds me of Sunday lunches with my family and Daab Chingri (prawns cooked in coconut milk and served in a coconut shell) and White Rice, a delicacy I keep coming back for. We then ended this journey with some Nolengud Ice-cream (ice cream made from date jaggery). The only thing I could think of after this saga was a nice fluffy bed to dream about the amazing food is just consumed. Now let's come to what I didn't like about our experience. The ambience was kinda dull but with the food being so great, we weren't particularly bothered about stuff like lights or other people. Also, kudos to the staff for their great service.

It's decent place for Bengali cuisine. Definitely not as good as the price they charge for it. The service is good and prompt. Has enough options for both beg and Non veg folks.

A sophisticated and high- end bengali cuisine restaurant. They have fancy as well as simple bengali dishes with beautiful presentation of the food. The interiors are fine dining style. Bathroom is very clean. Staff is great. This is overall a good place for people who enjoy hard-core bengali food. People who are not a fan of bengali food might not enjoy it here.

One place which we visit when we crave for Bengali cuisine. It’s a little pricey compared to other places but currently one of the very few places which serves good bengali food. We have tried almost every non veg option on the menu. Quantity and taste is great. Just that few times, the gravies will be too sweet, otherwise rest it’s good.

You will regret if you order Mutton, I ordered this one time and they gave me stale food! The mutton had a foul stench and I could have fallen ill if I ate that.

One of my favorite restaurant. Visited so many times in kolkata, first time in bangalore. They fulfill my expectation like last visit.
We ordered rice, chingri malaikari, fish fry, calcutta chicken biriyani and nolengur icecream. For 2, regular Steam rice quantity is not sufficient. Indian salmon fish fry, malaikari was very tasty. Chicken biriyani's rice overcooked. Nolerer icecream was awesome. Perfectly blend nolen gurer sandesh in the cream and we loved it. Highly recommended for Bengali- Non Bengali

Excellent food. Authentic bengali food. Mutton dish is the best here among all bengali restaurants in bangalore. Aam pora sarbat is a must. You can also try boneless ilish here. Serving time is pretty fast. Excellent behaviour by staff. Hygiene is very good. One of the best bengali restaurants in bangalore. Must visit if you go to church street. Cost is a little bit on the higher side.

I got really overwhelming response from oh! Calcutta. It was my 1st time visit at Bangalore branch. I ordered mutton Biryani & nolen gurer ice cream, it came after 20 minutes after order. They came with one handi, frankly speaking I thought it will not sufficient as that handi looks small. After serving, it was enough quantity for a person. Even if you are not having rat-runing hungerness, you shall not able to finish that handi alone. Now coming to the twist part, I saw there were 5 midium pieces of mutton and 2 of them were only bone but I ignored firstly. One of their employee came to me and asked for the quality of the food. I told about that pieces casually. Then he immediately apologied and arranged to change that pieces with fresh pieces of mutton kosha. Then they came with one full plate mutton kosha and gave me. It was really a good gesture.
I am sharing this because it's not about pieces actually, it's about the business they are doing with maintaining goodwill. Where customer satisfaction is the last word. I never experienced such behaviour I got from oh! Calcutta. For me 5 star is not enough to review you guys. Good wishes Sir!

Great authentic Bengali cuisine. Fine dining ambience and food! Ilish festival was awesome with great preparations of the queen of fish and be sure to try the Nolen Gurer Ice cream!

Food is just meh at its best. Quality of food has definitely gone down over the years. It was a very disappointing outing, and I don't think I'll ever come back on my own accord.

Quality of food and ambience - top class. Service was slightly under the shade. Delay in delivery coupled with mix-up of priorities during service was the only dark cloud for an otherwise sunny experience!
