Om Beach Resort-Junglelodges

Disappointing is the word i get in my mind after staying here.

I have been to other JLR resorts Kali, Kabini, Bandipur, Devbagh etc, they always have set high standards but.this om beach resort is utterly disappointing

1. Staff: Not at all welcoming, there are a bunch of people working like any govt bank staff. No one came to help me with the luggage.
2. Food: Menu is limited, watery dal, even curd was watery, when asked they said bcos of weather it became watery. No paneer dishes for vegetarians, radish curry was a bonus (hope u got the pun)
3. Rooms: Each cottage has 2 rooms, seems they are old construction, very old electricity fittings, non working exhaust fans, creaking doors and wardrobes
4. Swimming pool: Kids wanted to go to the pool at 6: 30pm, staff said its closed from 6: 30pm to 6: 30 am for maintenance. Nowhere in their website or premises this rule is written
5. Housekeeping: I can say literally zero room service, we returned in the dark and had to switch on lights near our cottage as even lights in the pathway were not turned on
6. Only thing covered in package is pick and drop to beach. The driver started 30mins late, gave us time till 6: 30pm and when we couldn't reach on time due to a cruise boat delay (we reached by 6: 50pm), driver called us multiples times and threatened us that he will leave without picking us up and told us to come by auto. After only a serious argument he waited.

Overall, this is an overhyped, overrated resort in Gokarna, i seriously would not recommend it to any family with kids. They charge 11k per room per day and this is what we got.

Great place for family vacations. Not too far from market or main beaches but still close to nature. Pretty old property but still preserved and maintained very well. Very helpful staff fantastic cleanliness & ample inhouse parking space. Tasty & fresh food preparation with local cuisine touch having ample spread during Buffet BF/ Lunch / dinner.
Took Spa services too, which doesn't seems too professional hence could be avoided.
Overall a fulfilling experience & worth the price.true value for money

Even though the resort is about 5 kms away from the beach, it is a nice place to stay. It has spacious 'old world' rooms, good service and food. There is greenery all around. Good for a night. Wish the swimming pool was kept clean though. The ayurvedic spa also didn't seem functional.

Fantastic experience and a great team! The whole team is eager and happy to assist and make your stay memorable! Quite, peaceful location with all modern amenities.

Rooms are big and spacious. Located a few KMs away from the beach but has a great road connectivity.

Great place to spend time with friends and families. Friendly and courteous staff. Nice and clean rooms. Local temples visit and beaches are covered as part of the package. They will drop and pick up from the beaches. You don't have to worry about driving and finding a parking spot near Om and Kudle beach. Food options are limited and it's not like a lavish buffet spread but whatever they serve is tasty. You can even request them something special and if items are available then they will prepare for you.

Stayed here for 2 days with family. Property has about 12 rooms and is located just 4 kms from Om Beach n Kudle Beach. We had taken the package for 4. Right from check in to check out the experience was amazing. We loved the food, the courteous staff and their generous hospitality. Rooms are very spacious n were kept neat and clean before our check-in with all the necessary kits. We even celebrated the independence day with the staff n other guests there which made this stay even more memorable for us. Thanks to the courtesy of Mr. Somashekar who gave the privilege to my dad to hoist the flag.

Very clean resort. Responsive staff. Could have more variety of food. Else taste was good.

Jungles Lodges and Resort Properties has never disappointed us and Same is the case with this one as well.
Well maintained and clean rooms with Greenery all around.
Swimming pool is also of very decent size.
The main highlight of JLR is the service that they provide.

Beautiful resort, rooms are huge though could be more clean.
Room service is ok, since landline is not there in rooms, you may have to wait to figure out or just walk to the reception.

The place is awesome with vintage rooms that comes with big hall and bedroom with classic wooden furniture. The exterior are green and beautiful. Food is good and free pickup and drop to beaches and temples. Has big swimming pool too.

Very large rooms with huge washrooms. Clean and basic facilities, just like most JLR properties. Campus has a swimming pool. Campus is relatively small but green with lots of trees. The place does not have much jungle related activities, except exploring beaches and temple visit.

Wonderful ambience. Best suited to relax on a vacation mode. Simple Traditional and really clean. Food is good. Can be better. Rates and packages good.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff, healthy and sumptuous food. Our room was clean. No issues. Heard some complaints from other guests about room sanity. Suggest you verify before you check in.

I visited this place 5days back with my husband. It's awesome place with serene environment. If you are a person who loves nature and calm place. This is where you should go. Food is sumptuous, simple tasty food. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. I would love to visit it again. Thank you so much for wonderful hospitality.

Nice resort to chill out but you cannot expect the great services like you have in other Jungle Lodges.

If you looking for beach view property, then this is NOT the place. This property is situated on a hill. Atleast 15 mins drive to OM beach. And 10 mins drive to Kudle and Gokarna beach. Not walkable to any beach.

The property is really nice. Expensive. Around 6200Rs for a room. But the service is really good. Food is tasty and good buffet spread at all times. Rooms get the damp smell during monsoons. Can be a little more neat. But not an issue. Bathrooms are also quite clean. The dining area is very nice. And lot of greenery around this property.

Very nice place for a peaceful and serene vacation. However if you are in gokarna for the beach then find some place else closer to the beach

Resort is located in beautiful nature setting. Property is aged but reasonably maintained. Resort manager's attitude is horrible, not very cordial towards guests. Behavior turns worst when it comes to Resort employees.
Food is too pricey though.

Ambience is very good with close to nature, staffs are very keen & kind, food quality is delicious except swimming pool is very poorly mentained

Lovely rustic bungalows. Spacious rooms and bathrooms.huge! Stepped up terraced property provides a lovely feeling of being admitted the woods. Great pool and rustic ambience. 5 stars to the food. Vegetarian and suprisingly excellent every single time of the meals package that we had taken! Homemade and yummy! Modest friendly staff

Place is good staff is cordial.but cleanliness is a bit of a problem.like our room sheets weren't clean butwhen informed staff immediately came n changed it

Great destination with family and kids. Nice place for kids to stay away from the usual drag of activities and games. Good small and shady pool.

Mr Jayaprakash and team are putting a great effort to run this place seamlessly and keep everyone comfortable, Kudos to them. It's away from the maddening rush at gokarna but still very near to everything. Om beach is 1.3 kms from here and the Mahabaleshwar temple is enroute.
They have 11 cottages here, some are recently built and some are older. The cottages are styled liked govt bungalows, with a living room, a bed room and a huge bathroom. There is a swimming pool and some occupants did setup tents for the night there.they have some hammocks placed here and there and trust me they feel like heaven after a visit to the beaches.the food is quite simple yet very well made here.

Clean, neat property with a decent sized pool, hammocks and an in house massage center.
The property has atleast 15-20 species of birds (including the paradise flycatcher).

Very quiet and quaint place to relax the mind and body. Good food and superb evening snacks. Very nice service. View from the dining place is beautiful, very spacious and well furnished rooms. What more do you want? The RFO/Manager JP sir is very friendly and will try to make your stay more memorable.

Nice place to stay with an ambience of jungle at Gokarna. Rooms are spacious. But the maintenance is poor.

Perfect for the price. Food is amazingly local and fabulous. Strict no to Chinese/ punjabi and what have you. Local fresh sea food and produce. Not had such an ethnic experience in a.along time. Special shoutout to Manager Jay Prakash who bends backwards to keep you amused with treks and outings and his indepth knowledge of the region.

Certainty OM beach JLR is one of the well maintained neat property backed with an awesome and helpful hospitality team led by Jayaprakash. His warmth and experiences on forestry makes the stay more memorable.

Resort is recommended for pleasant and leisure stays combined with sumptuous homely kind of food. Garden within the property is beautiful too.
One can find peacock around the property and grey langurs during the stay in resort.

Resort vehicles are available for commute within Gokarna to beaches and temples.

Couple of cycles are available, if one wants to explore the town on own.

Its actually a government guest house.
Suggestion, the place can be renovated and made at par with all modern resorts.

I came to the resort on 8th morning. I arrive late night but inspite of being late the attendent is very nice And welcome us very nicely. I have with me two German friends.
Manager Jay prakash is very good in hospitality. Highly recommended.

Problems with wheelchair access.in rooms and lack of ramps, also too loud at times, my son with is autistic and it was my treat with him for weekend, not worth it. Food was also not as good as hyped in reviews

Was planning for a relaxed vacation near to beach.have seen many hotels and review in and around OM beach.jungle lodges or OM Beach resort had the best review for the hospitality and food quality. This resort is not right on the beach but about 4km away. We hired a two wheeler for our convenience to go to nearest places without any parking hastle and also to enjoy the nature around.

Each and every points mentioned in the reviews were very much true. Guests are treated here atmost care. There is always someone behind you to serve your request at no time. Resort manager Jaypraksh is very humble and he has inculcated his behaviour to each and every staff in the resort.

Overall an awesome stay.food is clean and huyginic. You can enjoy the previlage of being a customer as long as you are here.

Very good place to hangout with friends. Small eateries available near shore. There is a small piece of land near beach which is in the shape of Hindu symbol "om". There are 5 main beaches next to each other in Gokarna. There is mini forest area where u can trek to reach nearby beaches. There won't be any ferry after 6pm. Ferry to go across beaches costs Rs. 1000

This is one of the best resorts to stay in if you are visiting Gokarna. The food is included in the room rent, and food is really yum. Only downside is that being managed by govt it is not up to the mark like a private property would have been. Otherwise a very pleasant stay
