OmThara Kala Kuteera

It was wonderful to visit this extraordinary place where each and every sculpture, paintings and murels have been displayed beautifully with mythological stories. Mr Srinivas, our tour guide was nice and informative and explained the background of each and every item displayed. We were taken to another dream world. Loved the hospitality of excellent food, snacks and high tea. Thankyou so much to one and all.

Must visit place for peace of mind and body!
Everything in and around this place is eternal. Beautiful entrance, tasty, organic and satvik veg food, warm staff, welcoming owners, lush green property, natural landscape, exceptional architectural work, kids section, meditation area, light and sound show, good aeration, outdoor breakfast, peacock in lawn and much more. Though we didn't plan stay here this time, but the suites are way too good than imagined. Serene atmosphere, positive vibes and relaxing environment. What else do you need from a weekend getaway! This place must be highlighted in a way for its unique concept and not so commercial attitude. Felt like home. Welcomed like Athithi Devo Bhava with lamp and bid goodbye with beetel leaf and coconut. There are many things I might have missed to mention but this place definitely deserves much more laurels.
Special mention: Mr Kishan who gave all information promptly, Mr Srinivas who narrated each artwork tirelessly, Baburam and his colleague for the sumptuous meal. This place is heavenly and great escape during weekend with family.

Hidden gem in BLR. A mini-museum on its own with unique collection of artifacts and amazing paintings. Lovely place enjoy a afternoon.

We recently visited Omthara Kala Kuteera at their event. It was a lovely atmosphere of dance, culture and craftsmanship. Enjoyed the tour of the museum and appreciated the collection of arts and crafts. Its a fantastic place to take children and introduce them to heritage crafts.

Omthara Kala Kuteera is a truly mesmerizing destination to visit. It boasts incredible paintings, intricate carvings, and a rich historical significance that comes to life before your eyes. Moreover, the place exudes a strong sense of heritage beauty, connecting visitors to their past in a profound way.
Adding to the allure, the location hosts a wide array of well-organized events and captivating programs, ensuring non-stop enjoyment for all who visit. My family and I had the pleasure of experiencing this enchanting place together, and it left us with unforgettable memories.
The food at Omthara Kala Kuteera is simply exceptional, surpassing all expectations with its delightful taste and an abundance of tempting varieties. It's impossible to sample everything in one sitting due to the plethora of culinary delights on offer.
Ultimately, this place offers a complete package of historical wonder, artistic brilliance and captivating events, making it a cherished memory that will stay with us forever.

We visited as a group of 12 students and 8 adults and what an incredible day we had at Omthara! It's truly a mix of natural beauty, amazing art, and architecture from our ancient culture. Dancing peacocks right as we entered set the tone for a wonderful outing!

Founded by the visionary G K Anantaram, Amar Chitra Katha comes alive here. Children and we enjoyed great food and caring hospitality with passionate story telling from the epics. You will also be floored by the Devalaya which can house a small wedding and other functions. Afternoon, post a sumptuous lunch, indoor games in a palace like setting was fun. The grounds are green with trees and they do have a few rooms for a stay over which we plan to do on our next visit.

Omthara is a gem near Bengaluru that one must experience.

Must visit place, each and every statue was sculptured precisely and with a lot of thought. Book the slot in advance on their website.

It’s an amazing place to visit. Each and every bit of it was built very thoughtfully. It speaks about the whole Indian mythology. Do book a 6 hr slot, 2 hrs is not enough to completely capture the essence of the place.

The carvings are very good, but after a point you start to get bored. The place is criminally understaffed; two people were doing everything. Food was good. They've tried to merge the environment of a temple and museum, but in the process the serenity that one expects in a temple is lost.

The venue has good contents to offer but needs to be organized in a better way and deliver.
For e.g the antics of household items have no relation the painting n carvings.there should be a better storyline to present to visitors. Also, each painting and carving should have a written information displayed upon which narrator can further add information.

The facilities includes indoor games, but amidst the sightseeing of paintings there is no particular point in the itinerary where we are free to play.

Overall good, but lot of scope for improvement.
(P. S. There definitely needs to be a signboard near the highway)

OMTARA KALA KESHETRA

The name itself creates a beautiful feelings. As DVG said "Shileyalla ee Gudiyu Kaleya beedu" meaning it is not just a stone structures but a place of art and architecture. The greenery surrounding the tall three storied building is a place which soothes one to serenity. Starting with Kashi passing through Ayodhya, Tirupathi, Chardham, Vrindavan and Meeru - what a lovely way to travel through these places, especially with a friendly welcoming guide like Mr. Srinivas. Every bit of stone is a piece of art which has its own story to reveal and take you back to Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavatha times.

My humble pranams to late Sri Anantharam Iyengar who single handedly made this project to introduce the Indian heritage and Indian artisans to the present generation.

A totally mesmerizing experience!

We had visited omthara kala kuteera as a group taking 8 hour package. Experience of our culture and beautiful carvings are beyond words. Food and hospitality is excellent Must visit place.

It's a very good place to visit if you are interested in knowing scriptures. It is carved as inscriptions and very beautiful place indeed.

But, too expensive 1250/-/. Even a visit to famous museum india won't cost more than 200/- per person.

We spent a day with family at Omthara Kala Kuteera. This is an architectural wonder and a hidden gem in the outskirts of Bangalore. We experienced true Indian hospitality from the time we entered the place. You can see the art from all parts of the country in one place. Dedicated manager explained the significance of each part and spent the whole day with us. Each floor has unique art work and tells different historical events. Kids and adults all had great fun. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this place if you want to spend a peaceful and meaningful day with your family.

Omthara kala kuteera is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Bangalore. The founder Anand jis soul and heart is in this place- this is clearly visible in the intricate architecture and detailing. So beautifully all the epics Ramayana, Mahabharata, Gita are shown through images carved from sandstone, wood, cement, paintings.the place is a must visit for everyone

A most unique and amazing place! I would never have imagined that this kind of a resort would exist in the 'Silicon Valley' of India. It's a place teeming with art and sculpture, and located amidst serene lush greenery, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A perfect place to perform functions such as weddings, business gatherings, or simply to just take the family out for the weekend. The food is delicious. This place ought to be in the top five getaways for businesses and families.

One of the best locations for one day outing near Bangalore. The place is a feast to eyes and the way ramayana and Mahabharata have been depicted on the walls with gracious paintings is marvellous. The only gateway to an yester-year time where art, architecture and literature become an internal experience playing with all the human senses alike, Omthara is that masterpiece, a living Poetry. One visit here would never do justice from my personal experience, it gets too much for the eyes and mind to take it all in a day:). And yes to add to it, the food served is delicious and aesthetic, a fitting match to the ecosystem. Hands down 'A must-visit'.
