Orzuv - Essence of Kashmir

A visit to Orzuv was a culinary journey through the flavors of the region. The Rogan Josh was exceptionally flavorful, and the Wazwan spread provided a true taste of Kashmiri hospitality. The ambiance complemented the experience, making it a delightful destination for authentic Kashmiri cuisine.

Great place to hang out and taste authentic kashmiri delicacies. This place is managed by kashmiri folk and the service is exceptional.
We were not sure about the portion size and what to order, the staff helped us out with the selection of the dishes as well as the palate we were expecting.
It's a little pricey but so are a lot of places in Bangalore. Portion sizes are decent and most dishes can be shared between 2-3 people.

Ambience: trying to keep up the old style and architecture, spacious, different seating options, good place for hangout with a group.

Food: Pakiza chicken - 3* could have been more tender, all meat pieces didn't have the same consistency.
Rogan gosh - 4.5* It was definitely well cooked, and taste and texture were great. Had with tandoori roti 5*.
Waza phirni - 4* Not much sweet as usually in most restaurants is a plus point, overall good.
Kawa - 4.5* It was refreshing, the saffron was authentic and well blended with other ingredients.

Hygiene: Tables & Washroom were clean.

Service: Based on the visit on a Sunday afternoon, crowd was limited. Tables were getting served on time, even feedback was taken for the dishes served. Appreciate that! They wanted to replace the starter that we didn't like much.
One who was serving didn't seem to be that experienced.

Other: Parking is limited. Washroom is separated from seating area. Price of few items is comparatively high. Mocktails weren't available.

It is really nice place to visit if one wants to experience Kashmir interior and essence.

When we first entered, it looked promising having the vintage vibes. But, on entering the washrooms to wash our hands, the scene was too bad (not even want to think about that) that we picked up our bags and ran off.

Quite disappointing. Location and building are nice and that's all the good part to it. Food is excessively priced but has nothing to show for it. Ordered meatball dish, which surely looked to have come from a shop bought pack of meatballs. All in all, very lazy effort on food front.

Went with a lot of expectations, but was disappointed. We were excited to try out a different cuisine but the dish we ordered wasn't in stock. The waiter suggested chicken kanti, which had stale chicken and had no mentionable taste. The Kahwa was okay. Kashmiri masala chai was average. The place could be maintained better. It is definitely not worth the price they're charging now.

I'm a vegetarian and have 2 big reasons to rate this place low;
1. From the time I placed order, they took 1 hour for first serving. Then a half hour gap before they brought everything else at a time. Half the food was cold by the time I got to it.
2. In spite of the delay, they brought wrong order and voluntarily offered me if I don't prefer that they'll change it. Meaning when they brought the food to my table they knew it was wrong food. I didn't have courage to wait another hour for replacement so I just ate it.
3. Usually in such pricey restaurants, delays and wind orders are complimented with discounts or a side dish. No such offer made. I wouldn't treat this a big deal but reviewing in comparison to other restaurants of similar pricing.

Authentic kashmiri cuisine prepared to perfection. Loved all the dishes. They do have added other North Indian delicacies but, we were fond of all the kashmiri specialities they had on offer.

It was the worst experience of my life never think of eating in orzuv.what they charge and what they give the quantity is worst very expensive and very delay it is costlier than five star hotel and never visit the restrooms I think all the restaurant table and chairs are bought it from OLX

Rated 3 because of the ambitious and staff, only one person was there who was not even willing to help, and pictures which are provided so amazing but in real it was not at clean, still rated 3 because of the food which I like

Never knew such place is tucked in the middle of all the hustle n bustle of Whitefield. Place serves nice non-veg food. Mutton starters were really good. Unfortunately, I didn't take pic of that.
In maincourse: Meatballs could be better, if it was more meaty with roughage.

Totally tasteless food. I am a kashmiri so can tell you this is as far in taste from kashmiri cuisine and taste as possible.
I think the ownership and the cooks have changed and the quality has gone down the drain.

I'll give it stars for the ambience and how they've set up the place and decent food. However, the food quantities are extremely poor for the price they charge, which is a lot! Please don't go here if you want to enjoy Kashmiri food. There are better places in Bangalore.

It is so rare to find a great place with a phenomenal ambience and a rustic appearance at the same time and i was just delighted to see perfection of the same at Orzuv in Whitefield. It is a beautiful two storey house that has been converted into a restaurant as well as a shopping and lifestyle place.
When you enter you will be able to see ample parking space and the best part is you can also bring your pet along as it is a pet friendly restaurant. You can choose to sit on the classic reclined chairs or enjoy a meal sitting down with your family across the table in one part of this cafe.
To begin with my meal, i tried the orzuv signature platter that contains 2 pieces each of chicken tikka, mutton sheekh, mutton kanti, royal kalmi kebab and four pieces of tandoori chicken. It is quite a shareable portion for two to three people. Along side the delicious platter i also had the kashmiri pulao which was filled with dry fruits and was slightly on the sweeter side however with the mutton rogan josh it is a perfectly balanced set of flavors. Along with that i decided to try out the refreshing butter milk which was really amazing with the hint of ginger, garlic, onions and fresh coriander in it making it the perfect companion to my meal.
Finish your meal with the classic phirni again topped with lots of dry fruits and just the right amount of sweetness. I cannot wait to be back at orzuv for a wholesome experience

Try visit with your favourite people you will enjoy this place. I have never enjoyed my birthday this much. They really made me feel special on my special day. Writing this review after 2 years but still feel special.

You get a good lawn to roam with your friends, some beautiful trees and flowers. You can spend around 3 4 hours easily. The staff is so friendly and professional. Even the owner makes you feel special. If you have someone special take them here and enjoy the day. The interior is also well designed and you get really good and positive vibes over here. I guarantee you won't get bored here.

Nature has endowed Kashmir with implausible beauty and as it rightly called as "Paradise on Earth", the state holds immense gastronomic gems that you can rarely experience in any other part of the country. It gets ever better with picture perfect landscaps ranging from the majestic Pir Panjal ranges and thickly scented Kashmir cypress branches to the meandering rivers and verdant meadows, every corner of the valley is filled with great beauty - many of us may not be as fortunate amidst workload to be in paradise but can always visit this very cafe in quest of great Kashmiri food.

To begin with, the magnificent ambiance that immediately instills in your mind the beauty of Kashmir is accompanied by hard wood like flooring and made complete by slanted roofs. A beautiful house with a lot of history has been converted into this stately cafe that stands tall and looks spectacular almost like it is not a part of mainland Bangalore.

I started my meal with a Zafrani lassi - the amount of dry fruits and saffron in the lassi are commendable and the consistency is quite thick, which makes it very filling. If you are someone with a poor appetite, do not order this at first else you won't be able to get to main course.
For starters, the kokkur tikka is a must try as the cuisine of Kashmir not only fills your stomach but also helps celebrate lives.

The traditional mutton Rogan Josh consisting of pieces of lamb or mutton braised with a gravy flavoured with garlic, ginger and aromatic spices (cloves, bay leaves, cardamom, and cinnamon), and in some versions incorporating onions or yogurt, finished using the dampokhtak slow cooking technique was a favourite which i tried with fruit naan.
Also if you do have a sweet tooth, do try the fruit naan with phirni as they go very well together. The yakhni pulao too is a great option to try. If you can not decide what to order, do ask the servers for recommendations as they are exceptionally familiar with the menu and all items on offer including specials.

When it it comes to Kashmiri food, it speaks volumes of it’s rich cultural heritage. The food is packed with saffron, whole spices, dry fruits, nuts and ghee. It is warming and comforting. The rustic ambience of this place takes you back to a Kashmir house in the nineteen hundreds. It’s a house converted into a restaurant.
It’s definitely a cozy place to unwind and relax.

Being a vegetarian I thought I won’t have any veg options but to my surprise there were quite a few vegetarian options to enjoy from.

We started the meal with Kashmiri zaffrani Kahwa which is a saffron tea that is potent and packed with the flavour of cardamom, saffron, star anise, cloves, dry fruits. It was a tad too sweet for my liking but flavour wise it was delicious.

In the appetisers they have a lot of non veg kebabs like the seekhs, shami and kanti

In the vegetarian appetisers, I tried the veg shami kebab which was soft and flavourful and perfectly seasoned. The paneer and mushroom seekh was flavourful but I felt that the paneer was a bit chewy and not melt in the mouth soft

In the main course I tried the Kashmiri pulao which is flavoured with ghee, saffron and whole spices. It’s packed with dried fruits, nuts and apple pieces which add a hint of sweetness and bite to the dish. I also tasted the dum aloo and paneer lababdar with flat breads. The aloo was soft and melt in the mouth with the warmth of whole spices. I felt the paneer was a bit hard in the gravy too but tasty nevertheless. They also have a vegetarian rogan josh which is made with lotus stem, something I’d love to try the next time

The fruit naan with phirni is a combination that is worth the try. Dry fruits and nuts stuffed fruit naan with the sweet semolina phirni is something unique.

Zaffrani lassi and buttermilk are delicious too!

Orzuv brings in the flavor, feel and esssence of Kashmir in it's ambiance, food and service. It is located in Whitefield in the midst of some greens giving you a pleasant vibe of the place. The antiques add to the feel of the place. There are these charming lanterns giving a vibe to the place. There is essence of Kashmir in a cozy corner where you could sit and relax over a cup of khawa filled with safforn and almonds.

We started of with some delicious appetizers, with veg we had some interesting veg sheekh kebab that was delicious with chutney. The paneer and mushroom sheekh was good, while mushroom here is something to look out for.

For the main course we had Garlic naan, butter naan and Kashmiri Fruit kulcha. The breads were soft and nice. The paneer yakhni was different while the dum aloo had an authentic flavor to it. To end the meal with a good dessert, we had the waaza zaffran Phirni which was filled with nuts and delicious. A tip the fruit kulcha tastes amazing with the phirni.

And it would be a sin, if I don't talk about their Kashmiri Lassi. The lassi is topped with a good amount of safforn and nuts giving it an interesting color and tastes so good, that you can't resist.

Orzuv is a quaint cafe in whitefiled that serves authentic Kashmiri food. It's tucked away in some trees and the entire wooden decor along with some fine music make the ambience perfect for a lovely meal. We tried a mutton starter that was so different in flavour and is served with some chutney - that is simply, delicious. We then had some saffron rice and some chicken kokra that swept us off our feet. This place is a good partnered restaurant, but the restaurant billed us for the dish along with GST and then subtracted the actual value. Service was quick, and it was a lovely change to a usual meal. Cost for 2 is Rs. 1000/-

I waa here yesterday afternoon for lunch. It is in the outskirts of Bangalore which gives it a nice vibe. With trees all around the place, it gives a Kashmiri touch to the whole place. The music and the vibe of the place makes you feel like being in another place.

We started off with Safforn khawa it was filled with nuts and Safforn. We moved on to their whole range of Kashmiri starters, each one of them were different in flavour and interesting. The sheekh kebabs were spicy and good.

For the main course had mutton Rogan Josh with some garlic breads. The interesting main course was the fruit breads and phirni which was really delicious. The breads had almonds and had a unique flavour.

Ended the meal with a Kashmiri sweet lassi which is topped with Safforn and nuts. The butter milk was garlicky and good. Ended this meal with a bowl of phirni which was topped with a lot of kishmish.

Nestled away in a quiet corner of Whitefeild, lies this rustic Kashmiri restaurant.
Ambiance: The ambiance is extremely cozy and welcoming. The wooden seating and the antiques placed in the restaurant will make you feel like you’re eating in Kashmir. The place is also surrounded by trees which only adds to the vibe. They serve authentic Kashmiri cuisine right from starters to main course and the beverages.
Food: We started off with a cup of Kashmiri kahwah which is an exotic tradition tea which has Kashmiri green tea leaves, spices, nuts and saffron.
The lassi and buttermilk were also great.
For starters you find both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. From the vegetarian starters the veg sheekh kebabs were delicious.
For the non vegetarians try out the maaz kanthi which is a spicy chicken starter.
Coming to main course, this is where you experience the best of Kashmiri food. The wide range of Kashmiri breads paired with a spicy gravy is the best combination you can try here. I loved the dum aloo with a garlic naan and the chicken roghan gosh. The gravy is a bit spicy but with excellent flavours. A special mention to the Kashmiri fruit naan which is a must try.
To end a hearty Kashmiri lunch we had a bowl of phirini which was lipsmacking.
To conclude I had wonderful experience at orzuv getting to taste the best of Kashmiri cuisine.

The food is quite bad, particularly the mutton which was too hard to eat. To top it, it's very expensive so it makes the experience even worse. Definitely the worst Kashmiri food I've had, should have just had the Kahwa and left.

The food was average, very spicy at times. The ambience is different, cozy but needs better maintenance and management. Can't oversell traditional ambience and authentic for unkept, broken furniture and overpriced, average food. Total disappointment

I've visited this Cafe just because the it is a Kashmiri Cafe and the menu included 'Girda', a traditional kashmiri bread. However, it wasn't available at the time I visited (more likely due to the ongoing Corona pandemic). Rest of the dishes were good. However the place could have been well maintained and better lit for an amazing experience.

The ambience and set up of this cafe is really good, with the furniture being so native to the theme. I tried the vegetarian food there and it was good enough for a 3.5-4 rating, but I felt the price to be on the higher side. The kahwa was a bit true to the one I treated in Kashmir, would give it a 3.5 too. It could also improve on the maintainance and cleanliness front, but the staff was very friendly here.

I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon with some of my friends. The place has a lovely
ambiance. It is a very cozy and rusty kind of ambiance. The place definitely gives you Kashmir
vibes. They have board games and books. So, you can have a really great time with your
friends here.

Now, talking about the food, we started with some kashmiri kahwa. It was on a little sweeter
side. Then in appetizers, we had paneer tikka, mushroom tikka and kebab. I really loved the
kebabs. It had potato stuffing. In the Main Course, we had aloo dum, paneer lababdar, kashmiri
pulao and assorted breads. I really loved the aloo dum curry and kashmiri pulao. The curries
were on a spicier side - just the way I like it. The portion sizes were really good for the curries
and pulao. Finally finished the meal with some zaffran lassi and phirni. Overall, I had a great
time here.
