OYO 8646 Mahendra Hotel

Do not book this hotel, my booking was simply shifted to another hotel without my concern when I checked with oyo customer care they were very unprofessional and not at all helped me.

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel by seeing picutres and location on 24th May.
Below are the points should consider before booking this hotel.
1. There is no staff to help you If you have booked online room.
2. One person came and asked me to cancle the booking and book the offline mode.
3. Rooms were not cleaned and not proper facilities.
4. Rain water directly come into the rooms.
5. No food, No drinking water.
Please dont go directly with website and OYO.this hotel is very bad and their prices is too high. Only one thing is good that Its near by other famous location but dont compromise with safty and security.

Only good thing is the location, and if you pre book in some website you can get it under 1000 per day (12pm - 11am), if you prefer single night to stay you can prefer this hotel, if you planning for more than 2 days please go with some other options - they say hot water facility is available but it is not an hot water it feels like warm water.

The bathroom was dirty, bathroom door handle was loose, the jet spray was broken, bedsheets was also not clean, very bad service, very bad experience, i will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Horrible experience, room was stinking, flush in washroom wasnt working and staff were not at all friendly.

Not for family who would like to avoid smoke and drinks. It's situated above bar so should think and book

Very bad experience during my recent visit on 14 Apr 2022. Poor maintenance of AC and Toilet. Booked through OYO app for AC room. But the person in the reception charged extra for providing AC room. Dirty bedspreads, pillow covers, torn bathroom towels. Very arrogant response from the person while complaining. I suggest not to visit this hotel

Very bad service. Recepionist was drunken and shouted at me when I told I will pay amount via OYO. Not good for family, there is a bar under hotel.

The linen were bit dirty. I found hair in the pillow covers which means they were not freshly washed. Also soap which are regular for other Oyo hotels were not offered, upon enquiry they said Oyo has stopped supplying the same. Restaurant was not at all useful. Only plus point about this hotel is its proximity to the city centre and suburban bus stand.

Pathetic hotel.found a condom under the bed, do not clean, the water jug's lid is used for ash tray and promises amenities but nothing works.no TV no WiFi no hot water no ac remote.never make the mistake of going here

The check in formalities were done in 5 minutes; they said our room was ready and we were taken to our room. When we reached our room, there were 3 ladies inside our room cleaning. We kept our luggage and were waiting inside the room while 2 ladies were cleaning the washroom and another lady was mopping the floor. After 10 minutes, the water tap broke in the washroom and the ladies started calling others to fix it. 2 guys came in; closed the water supply and started calling plumber. All the while the cleaners kept saying. 5 minutes madam. By the time everyone left the room, it was quarter to 1pm. Then when we checked, there was no light in the washroom, AC was not working and there was no bottled water. When we checked with the reception, they said the electrician was on the way. We couldn't wait any longer and we went out while there were 2 guys working on the AC. On the way out, the guy who showed us the room came and asked for a tip. For making us wait?
Also while check out, they told us to show them the mail from oyo. Since I hadn't got any mail from oyo that day, they told us to show the booking details from the app. I didn't have it. They said it was required for checkout. They made me install the app, check the amount I had paid, noted it down and were discussing for how much they had sold it right infront of me. It was very obvious that the details were not for the checkout but for them to know. Hence I do not recommend the hotel at all. I was fooled by the images, detailing and reviews from oyo. The only plus is the location. It's very close to all the major spots. But ultimately it's not worth a penny.

Even though the hotel was decent there was zero privacy.

The hotel staff tried to enter the room without knocking by using spare keys.

Terrible experience!

Hotel staffs are very helpful and they know English. Rooms are very spacious and clean with all basic facilities. Hot water is a problem as they have solar water heater only. No food option inside hotel, but you can order from Zomato, Swiggy, etc. Hotel Jst 500 m from Central bus stand and 2 km from railway station.

The worst hotel to be.they promise is all amenities but don't give in for that as nothing works properly or is available from hot water to TV, horrible sevice

Worst hotel management staff i have ever seen, refused to accept the prepaid booking because they had some issue with oyo, didnt intimate beforehand even when they had the info about the booking, have no regards for the customer, happy to let the customer go from their door even when they know its their own fault. Oyo customer care helped to find an another hotel nearby.

Rooms were very clean. Very helpful staff. Hot water at morning but the breakfast was not provided which was included while booking the room. The room is very near to city bus stop.

Worst hotel. They are not accepting prepaid bookings and they are taken more amount for paid booking. Even rooms are poorly maintained.

The experience in staying in this hotel was not so good for me. The room are stinking and.felt.that rooms are old also.

Hotel rooms are not good. I think there was bed bugs. AC was not working. They fill the water bottles and put it in the room. They only provide Upma and idly in breakfast. Not worth money.

Some rooms are poorly maintained. I took a single room which was poorly maintained. They are very strict on check in and check out time. 30% extra charges if you cross the check out and check in time. Early check in possible at 30 % charges

Initially they denied to give room because I had done online payment. There were few more people to whom they denied because they did the same. After some drama they allowed us but some other customers who came after me were not so lucky. There was no complementary purified drinking water. Toilets were not upto the mark. Sockets were not working. They don't have their own restaurant or pantry. No value for money. I had booked single room double bed for almost 1100 rs per night. Only plus point is their location and 2-3 workers who are very much co-oparative unlike their seniors. Summary, there is a dispute between online booking sites and hotel owners but customers face all the pain.

The room is large in size but the accommodation cant be extended for 2 days! That kind of experience you will gain.

Rooms are older.there is no room maintenance.bath towels and bed sheets and pillow covers are dirty.

Very poor hospitality. Staff members behavior was not good. Room was satisfied but overall experience was not satisfied. Not recommended.

There was not even a towel in the bathroom and there was no footboard in front of the bathroom, mirror was dirty, water jet was not working in toilet, no wiper

Hated this place. Very bad experience. Pictures in the oyo apps are fake. Very bad service, dirty furniture, no good place to park your car. Feels like they are somehow managing the place. Oyo should go for an inspection.

Rooms are comfy, elegant and plush. Extremely pocket friendly, great discounts. Room staff very responsive and kind. Food not up to the mark.ample parking space for bikes, not for more than 3 cars.clean toilets. Above average experience for a budget hotel.

This 2 star for only good behavior of staff.otherwise I would have given one star. Weak A/C. A/C outlet water is leaking my head when I was in front of washbasin. Fan making noise. No all-out or any anti mosquito spray available in hotel. And the worst part was breakfast. Please don't take any complementary breakfast by paying extra money in #OYO Booking. They provides only Idly, Upma and Narial chatni that too very pathetic taste.

I booked this hotel via oyo. Photos shown were good. When I reached parking space is very small only 2 cars can be parked. Rooms were just ok seems recently renovated, but bathrooms were smelly. Toilet flush was not working. The bed covers, linens provided were very old. Towels were worst almost torned condition. One room AC was not cooling properly so we had to change the room as they failed to rectify it.
Complimentary breakfast was there but just one option nd same menu everyday. 2 idlis and upma.
Resturant is maintained in bad condition.
If we order room service we need to pay in cash upfront.
We had 2 nights stay, on second day rooms and bathroom was not cleaned.n Towels were not replaced.
We just booked the hotel considering proximity to main city attraction like Palace.

On check out the staff asked me to open oyo app as some OTP would come. He forcefully asked to provide the rating there itself when I questioned he said he is going to give some 10% discount. He took my phone and did something. I didnt quite understnd the thing. But it was their trick to forcefully get a 5 star rating on oyo.
Overall had a bad experience. Would not recommend this hotel.

I had stayed here for 1day at off season time and everything was average like AC, Fan, TV, Wifi, hot water etc
But the room was dusty and Lenin was not cleaned and had liquid stains on the bed and the pillow cover was worst saliva all over it.
I would recommend to change pillow covers for every occupancy.
The water from the faucet at the washbasin was smelly.
Had booked via oyo and had normal stay.

When we were sleeping at night there were many small ant type insects and bed bugs on the bed.we were not able to sleep all night.

Worst hotel, booked room on oyo but hotel staff refused to give room by giving silly reasons of payment issues with oyo. Please be careful with such hotels.

A average hotel in Mysore, I had issues with the WiFi, I couldn't connect to the WiFi at all even after multiple tries. The neatness of the room and washroom was good, and thanks to OYO Wizard membership I had got the room only for Rs. 433 for one day which is more than enough for a day's stay at this hotel, please have apps like swiggy, Uber eats or Zomato or food panda in your phone as there are hardly any vegetarian hotels near by and almost all of the small and big hotels near by are Non-vegetarian with zero regards to neatness or hygiene, the nearest proper and clean restaurant is near the bus stop. But on the whole it is in the centre of Mysore from where you can travel to any side.
