A stray dog near my house was injured in a fight, PFA came quickly after I called and picked him up and they gave excellent and compassionate care. PFA has helped before with other animals i reported too, both cats and dogs. The doctors and staff are awesome! Thank you PFA!
I worked in PFA for the last 8 months. It is a good place for stray animals. They give services 24/7. I am very grateful to *Mrs. Savita Nagabhushan* mam for giving the opportunity to work. Mam does her best to keep animals safe and comfortable. I thank Dr Yashwanth sir, Dr Amardeep sir, Mohan, Arun, Gopal, Rathan, Murthy, Mahendra, Narayanappa and all the staff's for being cooperative. It was a good experience to work with them.
THE JOURNEY OF MANGO'S RECOVERY. (a streetie under our love and care) from the night he was attacked by a stray urban wandering LEOPARD upto the day of his release after complete healing of his wounds is something worth remembering for a Lifetime. The PFA shelter of Mysore have played a Phenomenal role in this journey. Madam Savitha Nagbushan and her team lead by senior veterinarian's Dr Amardeep singh, Dr Yashwant and Doctor Leela have worked their miracles in Mango's recovery. The Shelter opened up their doors for his post operative recovery and healing with dedication worth taking a bow for. Everyday dressing of wounds, antibiotic administration, attention and dedication all put together only made it possible to heal a dogs chest which was gashed open by the leopard in his partial attack attempt. Every single member from PFA, from their senior para vet Mr Gopal singh to their house keeping staff who kept Mango's enclosure clean for 30 days, to Murthy who captured Mango at 12 am after being attacked and unable to stand up, to the shelter's volunteers who kept him company for 30 days was all a package put together to create a perfect setting for Recovery and healing. Today after 28 long days he is released back to his pack in his territory after complete healing of his wounds and trauma. We and Mango are Evergrateful to everyone who have been a part of this journey of Recovery Healing and Reunion
Good folks doing really great work. Appreciate for all the help they do. It's a non profit organization and its our duty to fund them for the good work they do.
Since 3years I am attending pfa for attention to my dog Rexy. Annual injections, cutting nails, and the like. Very large secured and contained area. All kinds of animals are well kept. It's like a zoo. Well trained doctors, and very kind and experienced. They also pick up any animal injured or in accidents, and are a very busy institution. No complaints. 100 marks.
First: the place was very clean. I just dropped a stray puppy which was suffering from fever after a half day observation with vet & medication at home. They welcomed the puppy and took checks on their own. The way they explained us their formalities and procedure is commendable.
Would recommend this place if we want a special observation for our pets or our service to the stray ones. They also help us adopt pets too.
They might be helping dogs and other animals. But as of my person experience they didn’t respond to be at all. There was a very sick dog too skinny and had some infection was not able to move also. I called them and they told they cant come and they are busy I told I would wait until they come even if its late They didn’t respond to me at all I tried fed the dog but it was not in eating condition It need a medical attention but it didn’t get one Im felling really bad on myself that I couldn’t help him Its waste to have these kind of organisation
Very inspiring, PFA people are doing real great service to the animals. Hands off theri efforts and they're honest motive. I request everyone to help such good people activities.

I'm writing this review in my own experience. Must visit place for animals lovers. Pfa is doing a great job. Helping homeless animals in there health, which is very expensive outside. Lot of respect and thanks to pfa Friendly staffs and to Dr amardeep sing sir and pfa for there love towards animals.pls continue the great work, excepting more from pfa.
Just yesterday we found a stray puppy which was badly hurt near our place and the first thing we did was call PFA. They immediately responded to our call and within a span of 30 mins, they brought the ambulance and took the puppy to give care. I'm extremely grateful and happy that we have PFA in mysore to take care of animals. Words escape me and I'm really thankful for their timely help Please if anyone find a distressed animal In need, reach out to PFA
Don't opt to call them. Rather than being "People for Animals", they were gaslighters extraordinnaire. I called them regarding a cat rescue that needed to be done in my office premises and instead of responding positively or even with alternative options, I was told to let the cats be and to deal with this on my own. I called them because my office was threatening to remove the cats forcibly and I feared what that meant and instead I was treated to a lesson on how cats should be allowed to stay in the premises. Do you really believe I had a say on how the cats were to be dealt with? What I wanted was a better future for the cats than what they might be subjected to if the office had their way with them.
I called them on a emergency of stray cat that was found in critical condition. The team travelled 25 kms to treat the cat. PFA, Mysore you people are just amazing. Thank you.
Few occasions I'd sent the stray pups for over all check ups & protections.they 're there at the phone call away.promptly picked up the little ones did what had to do, & left them back to their place they 're quite healthy and active n loyal too.tku P. F. A.there Are lots of them around.but the cruelty of the Humans untollerable.selfish & ruthless fellows, poison them & kill them.mercilessly.it's horrible.
We all think about humans, but people's over here take care of animals, without them human life is incomplete. We should need to develop some social responsibility about animal's. Kindly visit the place, join hands with them in serving animal's.
An animal lover's best friend. PFA has been around for over 12 years to help me help injured animals. I can't imagine what I would do without them to call when I come across injured and suffering animals. I know they are an NGO and not bound to come to help every time I call, which is about twice or thrice a month, but they respond at once and do whatever possible to help the animal I request help for. THANK YOU on behalf of all the animals you helped heal and relieve their pain.
Would have given negative remarks if possible. Took a rescue dog and they said it might die it's not our responsibility, very insensitive and irresponsible bunch and behaved very rudely. Real shame.
Absolutely amazing! Words fall short to describe the dedication of the team at PFA. The result of their sterilization efforts is evident in the controlled stray animal population in Mysore. Most dogs I see on the street are sterilized. This is commendable especially since PFA is the only animal welfare organisatiin on Mysore. Savitha is wonderful and promptly mobilizes her team when called for a rescue. The shelter is very well maintained. Very clean and segregation is done in a very organized manner with separate areas for each function and quarantine area etc. Thr teams here has made a big difference in these voiceless animal's lives. Well done and all the best to the all at PFA. I look forward to volunteering with them in the future.
Worst people They don't know how to take care of animals Thre is no such rule of not keeping more than 1 animal in a own house. They want to kill animals! PEOPLE AGAINST ANIMALS. Hate u people many of our street dogs have only died because your operation and tratment.
They are doing yeoman service by taking care of ailing animals. Just called them & informed them that street dog in front of my home could not able to move, They visited & took dog for medical treatment.
A safe haven for the poor animals that are abandoned or are in need of medical help, especially the street dogs who recieve very good care from the vets and caretakers there. Will try to pool in resources once in a while so that it will help the management in the maintenance of the venue.
Also a suggestion.kindly reinstall the signboards along the main road and the cross roads for people who come in search of the place.
Place where they care stray dogs and homeless pet animals and also adoption of dogs is favoured here. People here are doing great work. They also treat pet animals if they are sick. All types of medicinal facilities are available for pets here
Animals being the best creations of god have really got a good place to be taken Care and treated at PFA. A Humble Thank you & salutes to the organization for such a great step. Have sent around 7-8 dogs up till now for treatment & Neutering, All have comeback well. Staff response is good for our calls. Special gratitude to Dr Amardeep Singh and Mr. Murthy for their quick response and readiness to help. Wish this service of yours will continue forever. Thank you
The staff or say value makers were very helpful and Dr. Amardeep was choosen by God to serve animals I think so, his service and way of interaction with people was excellent. Thank you Dr. Amardeep.
Maya was suffering from Parvovirus Infection and intestinal blockade, the doctors, para medics didn't waste any time and worked really hard to save Maya. Amardeep, Prashant, Gopal and 2 more ladies helped us a lot to treat Maya. I would've got a better care for my pup. Thank you for saving the life of Maya
Visited with family. Admired the noble work done by Ms Savitha Nagabhushan & her dedicated team. Hats off to them for the yomen service rendered to the helpless abandoned & sick animals
It was an emergency on Sunday night my dog jumped out of the car window and was badly wounded and I'm very happy PFA was there for help when all doors were closed. Thank you so much PFA.
I’m very thankful to people for animals team, while going home (the time was 11 pm around) I saw a dog who met with an accident, somebody was trying to help him, I joined with him and immediately I called Mr. Murthy and requested him to save that dog, he came immediately and rescued that dog. Really you are doing a good job, and you are the true inspiration for everyone. Thank you so much

I saw a dog suffering with wound and the flees and insects all over the body and dog was literally shivering don't know why they haven't taken any action against him and why haven't they treated that poor dog. Never expected this
This is a very nice place for all pets. They are doing wonderful job of taking care of the abandoned and stray pets. I wish and pray, every pet soon gets a home! Hey kind people out there, please adopt if you really want to have a pet! Give them life, get back their love!
Hi My name is Mahesh I am from Mysore When ever I see stray dogs suffering. I call PFA for rescue. But when ever I call. I get a very bad response from the staff of PFA.
Instead of coming for a rescue They tell me that they does not have the vehicle And they also tell me to catch the dog and bring the dog to their shelter personally.
My question is how can I catch the unknown dog without any Net and training.
And when ever I call PFA to take the stray dog for birth control operation. They come and they say that they could not catch the dog because it ran away.
When ever i call I get only these kind of irresponsible response.
I kindly request the Management of PFA to have a look into this problem and solve as soon as possible and save the suffering stray dogs. Thank you
We brought a kitten from PFA, he was already in a bad condition when brought from there. As soon as we brought him home, he was suffering from fever. Later he suffered from diarrhoea, which eventually led to his painful death. The young kitten who was few weeks old, fought hard for his life but later succumbed. He was already infected with ticks and worms as he was kept with other infected (or) dead animals. This is not at all acceptable, how can such innocent living beings be treated like this in such a place which holds a good reputation. Is it just for the namesake? Utterly disappointed and lost faith in such organizations.
I am working as a volunteer to people for animals. Dedicated staff with all facilities avalibale for animals here. Especially for rescuing animals their work IE really appreciable.
In KHB COLONY HOTAGALLI a dog was suffering from leg injury and they are responded very well and caught the dog and took for treatment.we are very much thankfull for thier social service
PFA provides treatment for ill animals with / without owners. The vets were excellent. All the support staff were caring and compassionate. The treatment is mostly free for owner less animals. Contributions can be made according to each person's ability. PFA is home to animals like dogs, cats, monkeys, rabbits, cows, horses and even eagles. This place is open for visitors and definitely worth a visit for animal lovers.
