Highly Recommended. Went to Pingara without any expectations. But after I tried their food (mangalorean) I became a fan of Pingara. Must try seafoods, especially Anjal Fish Tawa Fry. Service was top notch by Abhishek. Ambience is beautiful Clean and Lovely
Fresh and well made rawa fry seer fish and ghee roast prawns. Egg biryani was also good. Good sea food at a reasonable price. Mr. Mylar was extremely helpful with the order
Not a bad place to hangout with friends. Prices were very competitive comparing nearby local bars. Clean and tidy. Only need to upgrade on the food section.
Pingara is a little Shady and doesn't offer the same ambience as a pub but it makes up for it with really nice Tulu (South Karnataka) style food. Fish is a must try and you can get whatever alcohol you want to go with it.
The place has its own vibe to it. The seating is comfortable and the food is good. Service is also quick. It's not much noisy inside so you can easily hangout with your friends and have fun.
Must try - Mangalorean dishes. Tried fish pulimunji and chicken ghee roast. Really good and Authentic. Reasonable rates, nice peaceful ambience. Recently renovated I guess
When I first stepped in here, and it was in the dead heat of summer, I was skeptical. There is a family room that is smoke free and with air-conditioning, that would instantly put you at ease. I was won over though when we got a superbly chilled mug of their draught. Nice! Soo nice! I love the food. We ordered and have always ordered the Manglorean delicacies and there is nary a complaint. The staff is attentive and if you can overlook the not so great ambience, I can assure you the experience will be good. Btw. I do choose to sit out where the windows are open.
Edited - 16/12/2018 There were renovations happening here for the past few months and now that that's complete it definitely looks a lot different. Oh and the new menu card seems expensive.
Edited - 28/02/2020 I had dropped in after a long while and was happy to hear that the draught beer was back. There is no draught beer advertised on the menu card and you're not sure of the prices up until the bill arrives. However, after repeated requests for the mild we were served the strong and charged incorrectly for the bottles. That's a big no no. The whole idea of cheating your customers does dampen ones spirit. We've decided to write off this place.
Its a 'value for money' drinking joint. The liquor selection is fairly basic & regular beer options are available. The food is average & you would be advised not to try anything exotic. Parking is a bit of a challenge. You can visit for a relaxed drinking session with buddies if you aren't the type who fusses over ambience. Basically a hard drinkers joint & definitely not one to visit with the family.
The reason I'm giving 2 stars is they are selective in serving, I've asked for pitcher and they said it's not available and infront of me they served the pitcher for other customer, when I asked the waiter he was clueless what to answer.
The place clean and has parking facility for two and four wheelers, The staff are friendly and the food is good just like the place, It also provides alcoholic beverages
