Potful Biryani, Kalyan Nagar

Initially about a few months back we had found it to be very good and enjoyable. However of late I find deterioration in quality. But on Sunday, the chicken 65 biryani ordered in zomato from potful Hennur was not good at all and the chicken pieces had a sour taste. Looked like old and stale chicken. I don't think I will have courage to order again this item

Today I order hyderabadi chicken briyani, which I found very basic, even it's matching hyderabadi spicy taste n more then that chicken was half cooked, i ordered so many time bt today it's today tasteless n half cooked chicken.not worth

I ordered Second tym from this outlet it was not good in taste.

I ordered their Phirni, definitely not worth the price because it had rava instead of rice cooked with rose water. I highly doubt if their food will be as good as it is spoken about when a simple dessert wasn’t up to the mark. I don’t recommend this place.

Ordered mini family pack chicken biryani but the quantity was enough for only ONE adult. STOP CHEATING customers with irrelevant item names. The rice did not taste fresh, 3 pieces were medium in size, it tasted more of some fragrance water than biryani spices. Kebab was more pathetic. Paid Rs. 767/- for food not even worth Rs. 100/-.

Yesterday we ordered 3 mutton biriyani and we received 3 chicken biriyani in front of guests. So Embarrassing. They did not even bother to give us a call back even after sending message through whatsApp. Even your order can't be viewed. Waste of money, time and food.

One of the best biryani I have had in Kammanahalli, Awesome in taste. We are most of the times ordering paneer biryani and it's superb.

The biryani was not made fresh -they however claimed on their website that food will be prepared after order.
Got food delivered within 15 min and the food was luke warm and not hot.
Taste was just abt average.

Thay have Full attitude thay don't respect customer and also for swiggy Rider's thay will tell minimum 35;min worst people in resturent

They serve one of the best biryani in the town, that's my opinion. Try Hyderbadi chicken biryani. A must try.

We had the Kolkata Chicken Biryani and Kolkata Mutton Biryani. Both were terrible and tasteless. There was no salt. It says less spicy but it was completely devoid of spices. It tasted like steamed rice, not biryani. The meat tasted like cardboard. It was the worst 800 bucks we've spent on food.

Very tasty yummy perfectly cooked jack fruit pieces biriyani. Well cooked and nice packing. Long Basmati rice tastes good. I loved it. Perfectly fit for 1 person who like a dish like biriyani.

Waste food, waste money, chicken not Cook properly, patato not Cook properly, very unhealthy.what reason they have charged more money I don't know and also rice over cook of Kolkata style chicken biryani

I loved lucknow biryani and I felt it was bot fresh in the afternoon. Hyderabad biryani though the popular dish and I ordered it in the late evening like 7pm, I felt it was not fresh and taste was not that great.

The chicken in the biryani was stale and smelly! Butter chicken was uncooked. Very pathetic quality for that expensive price! Not worth at all! The quality is just very bad! I had ordered chicken biryani & butter chicken! Both were left uneaten! Pathetic quality

Really nice chicken was well cooked and taste of both Calcutta lucknow was very good. We order Calcutta always and I like the fact you give an option of extra piece. Very few restaurant makes Calcutta biriyani in Bangalore of good quality. Because it's served in pots we feel it's better and hygenic. We ordered lucknow also this time and must say the quality have got better also. As expected Calcutta biriyani has potato and it doesn't feel like too oily or too much spice.

WHITE RICE in the name of Briyani!

Ordered in Swiggy. Packing was excellent BUT I ordered for Briyani instead got WHITE RICE. Literally! ! No Masala. No flavour both in Rice and pieces.

For the price you charge at least provide GRAVY to have with White rice.

Ordered Mix Hyderabadi veg Biryani.

I have had biryani in Meghana, Nagarjuna and even the Mysore's RRR which are known for their best biryanis. But I must say this Biryani was top class and I would rate above all of them mentioned.
. Every granule and vegetable is cooked so well. Unlike the others and the ones I mentioned above. The Masala was so well balanced and the rice is of top quality. Do try if you need one of the best. Here are my Ratings

Taste- 10/10 superb
Quantity- 10/10 Enough to feed 2 people with a normal appetite. Or Sufficient for 1 heavy eater
Packing- 9/10 neat packing. I am taking 1 rating out because of a green layer between the lid and claypot. I personally don't know what it is.

One of the best biryani. I had ordered from them for a small house party, it was the best from packing till taste. The rice was perfectly cooked the taste was awesome not too spicy. The delivery was also good it was piping hot for a long time.

So two weeks ago I raved about this afer ordering from them the first time. The second experience was quite dismal. I ordered a third, fourth and fifth time in the hope of a repeat of that first time I ordered. Every time the meat was beautifully cooked but the flavour fell well short and was just lazily assembled.what a shame.

Sadly, ‘a flash in the pan’ is the only conclusion i am left with. 2.5-3 stars at best. ️

Goodness Gracious Me! Nirvana! I so badly want to serial-spew four letter expletives at the moment! After growing up in Kolkata and then moving to Bangalore, I had all but given up on ever having the sheer satisfaction of digging into a Biriyani that deserved to be called made with Love. That certainly changed tonight! After 10 years of living in bangalore and an overflow of typical pretend-Biryani-fare, I decidedly despise ordering Biryani claiming to be Authentic Kolkata Style. The last, decidedly dismal Kolkata Biryani experience i went through was at ‘Aalishan’ and ‘Lazeez’ both of which were abysmal (Im being generous i promise). Something about your description made me want to take an off chance in the hope that there could be a ‘Maybe’ here. I’m so thrilled that I did. Right from the beautiful fluffy long grained basmati to the essence of Keora water and your fall-off-the-bone-mutton cooked to exquisite perfection your Kolkata Biryani is an absolute assault on the senses in the best manner imaginable. No pretense, straight-up Traditional, mind-bogglingly beautiful in it’s simplicity and just pure LOVE. Possibly the second time in my life I’ve felt privileged having a biriyani.

I implore you to keep up this quality of cuisine in years to come. You will certainly have your hands full with the orders to come your way!

Ordered Lucknow biryani. Presentation was great, taste I felt ok not great. Well packed. Chicken was fresh and well cooked.

Wouldn't it surprise you to know that somebody, somewhere at Potful made an effort to take you back to nostalgia that might not even have been in sight for you?
Claypot cooking, an earthen method or cooking food where the meat / rice would be put and sealed with dough and cooked as a whole. Later the claypot would be broken and the Food, served as it is!
Implying the dum method of cooking biryani, potful has definitely satiated my cravings for my most favorite bengali style biryani. The best part is, they will even give you not one, but two whole chunks of potato with it.
The chicken was succulent, flavourful and very fresh. Absolute delight for a nice home delivered meal.

Nice and hot biryani and it's in nice pot. Cost looks little bit higher, but considering the hot biryani it's adjustable. Ordered online and it was delivered on time.

I never expected an actual pot to come. It was a pleasant surprise to see a potful of biryani. But let me warn you. It was piping hot and fresh. The delivery was on time.

Hyderababi chicken biryani - The biryani was very well cooked with juicy pieces of chicken. I can't stress enough on how fresh and hot it was because that's something other outlets need to work on. That's is why I prefer dining in for biryani but potful has definitely exceeded my expectations in that.

Murgh khada masala - It could have been a little spicer. Seemed to be a little bit bland. However the chicken was soft and juicy.

Biryani is bae for me especially dum biryani. Ordered vegetarian Lucknow style biryani from potful biryani Kalyan Nagar branch.

Service: - must say service is too good. Though it was home delivery, the dish was delivered on time. Before the delivery restaurant people had given a call to confirm the address.and this means a through professionalism for me.

Coming to the packing: - as the name says potful.yes it comes in a earthen pot. Pot was completely sealed from out side. When opened the seal biryani was piping hot.

What I loved was they do write our name in the pot.

Vegetable dum biryani: - biryani was piping hot when the seal was removed. Biryani rice grains were long and separate. Taste was yummy with right amount of spices in it. It wasn’t too spicy nor blonde it was perfect. Rice contained lots of veggies like beans, carrot, potato, cauliflower and fired onion in it. The quantity is more than sufficient for two people. Curd, onion raitha was given with it. A perfect combination for biryani.

Panner tikka: - had six numbers of panner pieces in it and onion salads with mint chutney in it. Packing of this dish was also neatly done.panner cubes were quite big in size and was super soft and tasty.

Would love to taste non veg biryani soon.

Loved the way biriyanis are cooked delivered from potful. I had to wait for 90 minutes for my biryani but it was worth waiting. Taste was awesome. Looking forward to order again.

This place has been my goto place now to order biryani from. Amazing biryanis in the pot covered with dough, they serve different flavours in hyderabadi, lucknowi and Kolkata style.
We ordered the hyderabadi chicken one. Amazingly done with cacophony of flavours and nice tender juicy chicken pieces, topped with caramelised onions.
We had paneer tikka as well. The Paneer was nice tender, decent marinated, the best thing was it was topped with garlic which gave some real good flavours.

The packing is neat with biryanis in a pot topped with dough to keep the moisture intact and the tikkas in a neat box, served with green chutney

Solomon the delivery boy was very kind and prompt on the delivery, the Biriyani was amazing, absolute value for money, absolutely tasty, good chicken pieces, we all simply loved it. Had cravings for a good biriyani and finally decided to try Potful. I am so glad to have tried this.

Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani - Served in a clay pot, freshly prepared and delivered to your doorstep gives you all the more reason to be delightful.

Long grain rice was well cooked moist a d flavourful. The chicken was moist and marinated well. This is a must try dish for all the biriyani lovers. Dunk with the raita they provide.

Chicken Tikka - Boneless chunks of juicy chicken was extremely delicious. Literally tastes buttery when u bite into it. Highly recommended

Biryani tastes good. Very well packaged too.

However Firni doesn't taste like the one we are used to eating in eg. Kolkata Arsalan.it is too runny & tastes very different. I guess Firni is prepared differently in Southern India as compared to in the Northern or Eastern states. We are used to thick rich milky Firni, not runny, with a nutty flavour. Here Firni tastes more like Rabri!
If you really want to order Firni, suggest you order hot Gulab Jamun with it.yummy when eaten together!
Just a suggestion.while you are serving everything in a mud pot.please use something more healthy & environment friendly for packing curries & gulab jamun, instead of using plastic.

The Calcutta Dum Biriyani is always a delight to order. Comes in a matka and baked to perfection. Also the phirni is a must try. It is perfectly sweet and the saffron added just enhances the flavour. The delivery takes a lot of time, as everything is made to order. So, plan in advance and order.
