Prafulla Homestay

We were there for 2 weeks so it's all true what's been said before. A wonderful stay, pity we couldn't stay longer. PrItesh's mum was excellent really looked after us very well and she introduced us to South Indian food which was delicious I'm a recent amputee and couldn't ask for better support. There was even tears when we left which says it all.

Pritesh is a great host, the place in incredibly beautiful, home made very testy food is another point to be mentioned, they have boat ride facilities as well which is worth trying.

This is not commercial beach resort but a homestay run by fisherman family. The owner Mr. Pritesh was humble and helpful to serve you. They cook food as per your request and it was very tasty. This house is located away from city and thus free from crowd, only the local fisherman families roam around. The beach is not so clean as Goan beaches, but kids will enjoy this crowdless beach very much. The sun set is nice to watch. In night, if you switch off ceiling fan, then can hear roaring waves banging ashore like thunder, whole night. Car parking is on roadside and our car remained safe two days. It has two chalets, with hot water from solar heater, attached toilets, one double bed, one ceiling fan, one table and two chairs. Each chalet has independent veranda which is where our family had break fast, lunch, tea/coffee and dinner.

Nice experience. It is totally different from commercial beach resorts. Located just 50 mtrs from sea. Pleasant to hear loud waves banging shore, whole night. Very courteous and helpful owner. Food quality is very good.

Arrived at very short notice around 9pm and were very warmly received. A homemade meal was prepared which was delicious.nice listening to the sound of the sea to get you to sleep. We set off early again next morning after a hot shower. Lovely views of the beach and people heading off for fishing.

Pretty place right on Majali beach. Easily accessible from bus stand and railway station as autos are always around. Homestay is away from the town and all the noise. You can actually hear the waves on quiet nights. Rooms are affordable and comfortable enough for two people and third one can be adjusted as they don’t mind giving an extra mattress. Food is delicious and actually home made. You might not get lot of varieties but whatever you get would be tasty. In case you want anything other than what they are cooking for the day, owner gets it from the town.
We stayed here for two days and hands down best homestay I ever stayed in. Pritesh - the owner- is extremely helpful. Don’t think I have ever seen such humble person. He helped us out from the moment we checked in (early morning) to checkout. He actually dropped us back to the town in his car. They also have boating service which includes visit to lighthouse and islands. Strongly recommended.
Brownie point- Goa is extremely close from the homestay and Pritesh helps out in getting bikes for rent.
This place is gem! Minus- they have only two cottages.

A very different experience to anywhere else I stayed on my trip trough south India, a tiny oceanside community of fishermen and beach cricket matches. Pritesh’s family are incredibly kind and warm and will make sure you are taken care of. No frills but no other tourists in site makes this a pretty unique place to stay

Located Right on the Beach. Awesome View of the Sunset. Best season to visit is from October to February. Pritesh told he can take us to light house Island. Rooms and rest Room are very clean. U can hire two wheeler also with the help of Pritesh to explore Karwar, kali river

The homestay is right next to the beach, the ride to the beach is amazing.

It's a quite little homestay tucked away in the fishing town just opposite the beach. The hosts were really nice and homely. Great place for a silent getaway!
