This review is for the food here. It is the place in Mysore where you can have Gujarati/ Rajasthani foods with authentic taste. Gujarati Thali meal is available for lunch and dinner which is tasty served with 2 Sabji, Roti, Rotlo, Dal Rice, Sweet, Farsan, Papad, Salad. Morning breakfast is also available like tea Thepla and Aloo Paratha. Overall recommended place for north Indian food.
The only plus point it has that it's near the KSRTC bust stand, Mysuru. The rooms aren't such in good conditions as shown in pictures. Need proper maintenance and also not suitable for family and couples. Full of bachelor's drinking going on
Sorry to tell this but Worst experience there is no value for normal peoples they judge by dresssence and more over they jubge book rover. In my life time it's only the bad experience I ever had pls avoid to visit this place kindly, mainly foods are not tasted I really really never seen this kind of restaurant ever.
After lot of searching for jain food and getting recommendations from locals we reach there at 5: 45pm and get to know that they serve after 6: 30pm (after sunset) Recommendation: if u r famous for jain food then Atleast start few options for those jains who eat before sunset.
Gujrati Marwadi Thali served on Saturday lunch is good with many varieties and worth ₹250/-. The worst part was the owner was insisting on cash payment and not ready for payment via card, not even UPI with lame excuses. This is obviously not a good practice and you should make it clear to the customers before serving food.
Hi, yesterday I visited the restaurant with my friends, I asked at reception about food, he replied me they serving unlimited dish at 250/- rs. When I start our meal and I demand more sweet, they denied, when I demand more khaman they denied, when i demand more Dahi-vada they demid. I am extremely surprised, if you said unlimited dish How is it? All over service is very poor
Food taste so nice but the service is very poor Yesterday v visited with family for dinnar. Owner behavior is not informative, he didn't explained us for meals patterns and food items repetation. While you r charging for everything unlimited, how can the sweets and farsan served only once? Asked same to owner but he refusdd to answer. Else food quality and taste good. One can find other cheaper and good option nearby.
Enjoyed the Gujarathi Thali to my heart's content. Hot phulkas they went on serving and the side dishes to were delicious. Such a wide range of items for a mere Rs. 250 in heart of Mysore is just unbelievable! Dont miss this joint.
Omg! Not at all a worthy place to visit. Worst food ever had. Dhokla was not at all juicy. None of the subji had real content in it, just a masala water. Roti were as thick as parota. Worst decision ever taking to have food there.
A nice eatery just beside the suburban bus stand.eat authentic gujarathi/ rajastani Brahmin food as much as you want.kandvi is delicious.priced at 225 indian rupees is a bit High.clean and nice place.
A pure vegetarian restaurant which offers typical gujarathi dishes. Their unlimited Gujarathi thali is the most selling part on the menu. Priced and served rightly. A must visit for Gujarathi food lovers when you are in Mysore.
If you want homely food w/o onion garlic then its an go to place. Also, this is the best North Indian food in mysore. This should be a must visit on mysore.
We ware trying for a better food in mysore tried few places which ware pretty ordinary for our luck found this restaurant. Authentic food best in taste. Had to come again next day because of taste. Thanks guys.
Ordered mix veg, it was full of salt, it was not possible for any human to eat. Staff was not only staff but local gunda too. He is fat man who mostly takes orders and serve food Pathetic man will serve food all his life and that is his only achievement in life He openly threatened for complaining about the salt.
There are a plethora of options for lunch if you find yourself around Mysore Bus-stand. Here is why Purohit Resturant stands out.
They have the option of both Thali's and À la carte.
I tried the Gujrati thali and it was amongst on of the best lunches I've had in Mysore. You get unlimited ghee lathered roti's. The plate in my review picture is missing dhokla and papad. Later, you get unlimited rice and a small portion of pulao.
All in all, it's a great place with tasty and quality rich food. I feel this place is underrated due to the sea of restaurants around. Give this one a try!
Good gujrati restaurant in mysore. I tried gujrati thali which came with lot of items and I couldn't finish fully. Tastewise it's not bad. Worth the price for heavy eaters.
We visited this restaurant by a recommendation but it turned out worst. We ordered north indian thali. There are soo many varieties in thali of snacks, sweets and veggies. But taste was not good. Also they charge extra for a cheap tasteless soda and by the time of serving they didn't tell us that its not included in thali. So its a pure cheating. Staff and owner's behaviour was not good.not recommended
They are scammers. I went to the hotel today and ordered for a plain dosa and a masala dosa, they gave one vada each with the dosa and we thought these are complimentary but they added that vada with the bill even though we never ordered for it! They added the vada without even asking. Not a good place for tourist!
Pure vegetarian restaurant. I ordered Gujarati Thaali. It includes salad, 3 types of curry, daal, roti, pulao, rice, dhokla, papad, dahi, dahivada, shrikhand, gulab jamun. It was good taste wise but expensive. Ambience is good. But staff are not following any safety measures.
On a recent visit to Mysore, we had the opportunity to visit Purohit restaurant. Since we were a bit too early for dinner, we were offered ginger tea at first. The tea was very refreshing and the owner entertained us with small talk while we waited for dinner. Dinner was served thaali style and each and every dish was amazing and served with hot rotis! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We certainly plan on visiting the restaurant again whenever we visit Mysore next.
It's a quite nice restaurant to have a proper lunch, it might be costly but they will provide you the best Thali ever, with all complimentary items. I really loved it.
Unlimited thali, but the taste is average! Only 2 items out of all the items in the thali are good, nice ambience. Would be great if they improve the taste
Simply the best vegetarian restaurant in Mysore at a reasonable price and easy to locate. Try there Gujarati Thali to best experience the taste of purohit
Very Tasty food and nice renovated ambience to sit and eat with family. The unlimited Thali had lots of dishes and many varieties of sweets, behavior of staff was also great. The place is usually crowded and may have difficulty in parking cars. One thing which I didn't like is, many in this review have told the rate of unlimited Thali is 200 Rs. But I was taken 225Rs a plate, requesting owners to have a fixed rate and clearly display what customers have to pay. More over you should consider adding a water bottle free rather than charging that also for a unlimited thali.
Very testy, food quality & unlimited Qnty. Special Rajasthani Thali concept I really like it, management very good, Very good option for north Indian food lover.
It's good when you are too hungry. Eat as much as you want no one will stop you. Fix rate is Rs. 180 North Indian meal. But if you are searching for taste then you should have to go somewhere else.
Nice place for pure veg breakfast, lunch and dinner in Mysore. Very close to KSRTC bus stand. Good hygiene. Nice seating arrangements. Specious place. Parking available. Overall very good.
The food was good there. I felt like i was having food at home. Less oily and less spicey. It's Gujarati thali so they are providing everything and it's unlimited food for 180/- rs. So it's a good deal for foodies but a lil bit extra for me as i don't eat much. Hence the food seem to be healthy it was a good deal for me either. Overall i liked the food. Some of the staffs were very well behaved but not everyone. Though i recommend people who desparately missing the swad of ghar ka khana must try this one. You definitely won't regret your visit.
We found this small place in the heart of Mysore. The neighborhood looks pretty run down. This vegetarian restaurant is situated in the middle of a very busy area. Parking can be a problem. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn't try breakfast. We went for the dinner and it would appear that the lunch menu is pretty much the same.
This is a no nonsense restaurant where there is no choice. The cuisine is a mishmash of dishes from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bengal and a few other places. What you order is a Thali (a meal with several courses). There are several side dishes, hot phulkas (flat breads), yoghurt, rice and of course desert- which is again authentic Indian. We were served Shrikhand (a sweetened mango puree with cardamom-served chilled).
The service is prompt and plenty of opportunities for second or even third servings. Everything is unlimited and cost us Rs 180- which is extremely cheap.
Don't be discouraged by the dingy exterior or the entrance or the decor. Highly recommended!
Probably the best pure veg north indian restaurant near the central bus stop, precisely a Gujarati Restaurant. Meal price tad higher compared to other restaurants nearby irrespective of south meal or North meal. Service is faster and clean place as well. No loo facility here.
Really satisfied with the Gujarati Thali that was on offer. One can argue that the price is a little high, being 180/-, but it's certainly a good all-round meal. My personal favourite from the meal was shrikhand. But the chaaval, roti and sabzi were all equally good.
Heard a lot about this place.finally visited and had stomach filled Delicious mouth watering dishes.they make amazing Dhoklas, even though the owner is from Rajasthan.foodies.this is a must visit place.
If you any rating below one star then whatever the lowest rating would be there I would have given that. Never visit here in search of Gujarati food.worst food quality, heigien and ambience
Was here at 11 PM so the famous thali that they have was available with less food. The vegetables are very generic ones. There should be atleast one paneer/kofta type veg option. Overall a good experience
Visited this place after looking at all the positive reviews. Food was Rajasthani and Gujarati mixed. It was like a regular restaurant we find everywhere in the north. Taste or place were just okay.
The place is terrible. There is no hand wash and the Gujarati thali had rubbish dishes only the khadi and dhokla were authentic. The rest were terrible. For 180 rs its an absolute waste
Great north indian dishes available here the food is priced moderately. It will make all north indians who work here feel at home surely. The food is very tasty and the portions they serve are also quite good.
Wonder how people are giving 4 stars to this restaurant. During my visit i found the servers either picking their nose or teeth when they were free, the sight of which caused us to almost throw up. Thumbs down to this one.
