Highly unprofessional….
The responsible staff were busy in watching cricket videos while we were approaching them.
Another gentleman was quite busy in texting on his phone without even looking at us.
It took a lot of time for us to finish our parcelling, besides, the loading worker asked for bribes after asking too many questions!
I in fact got threatened my parcel will not be safely transferred indirectly by him!

Railways should seriously look into this, even though bribery is not something new for us Indians, if a foreigner gets this experienced, it’s a shame!

Do not pay bribe for workers who load and unload there, only official bill is enough

The experience was good overall
My 2 Wheeler was received in good condition at the destination.
Be prepared to pay some 100-200 ₹while loading and unloading as they will definitely demand it in the name of loading charge

Very bad experience of receiving the booked byke.
It took 14 days to reach at majestic, apart they charged additional fine of Rs. 400.

The Bangalore Yeswanthpur Railway Parcel to Bike service has reached a new low, and frustration is mounting among its customers. It's been an agonizing three days, and yet, my bike hasn't even been loaded for transportation.

This level of inefficiency is not just disappointing; it's unacceptable. In a city as bustling and dynamic as Bangalore, where reliable transportation is paramount, this kind of service failure is a serious letdown.

The fact that some employees are resorting to bribery The authorities must intervene immediately to investigate these allegations and overhaul the service to ensure it operates with transparency, efficiency, and integrity.

Never lift phone calls.have gone to take a bike which was present on the platform at 5 a.m. But they bought that by 9: 45.and took additional charges for unpacking.

Not a great experience. We had booed scooter from my native to Bangalore.
Receipt given was of 400 but asked to pay 1300.
We are at their mercy, no one to escalate and get help.
We reached office 9: 40pm and delivery time is till 10pm, he asked us to wait initially and was not responding to any queries and at 10 o clock he acted to help and said system closed and cannot do anything.
Next we again we had to come in the morning.

Extortion of extra money is very good at it, the person who will load and unload the bike without hesitation asks for money

Well. I went to courier my scooter but they said me to go Majestic railway courier.
So before going to yaswanthpur railway courier, get confirmation from them whethr thy courier to your destination location.

Poor service.high cost.people keep asking you for bribe for every little they do.like packing as well as passing the receipt and later for loading unloading.just pure corruption

Great experience, didn't expect such helpful people and experience from a government establishment. You can still find a few rude and moody ones but overall everyone here tries to make the process smooth for public.

Worst place to do parcel, worst service, authorities doesn't even care about people coming over there.so arrogant and irresponsible.

Be aware with brokers. Brokers are charging 600 rs for package for bykes. You can negotiate upto 300rs.

Nice place, near parcel office parcel service is there parcel vehicle charge and vehicle dispatch charge is different.

Extremely bad service.
The third party labours are always begging for money for touching the items they are asking me thousand bugs.
The railway officers are seeing them and then also not taking proper action against them.

We were subjected to Terrible service while receiving parcel directly after alighting from train, people simply shift responsibility to others.

If u want to send any bike by train pleace clear all ur fuel.and pack it before going to booking they will charge to pack a Poke 450

Got my bike & 2 cartons parcelled to Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
Here's the breakup of the process.
1. Enquired on railway helpline number 139 regarding parcel service. Suprisingly, the query resolution from railway helpline is pretty fast. When connected, the customer care executive asks about your parcel requirements like source, destination and type of luggage. Then they'll raise a ticket for callback accordingly. After sometime, you'll receive a callback from their specialized executive, who will tell you if the parcel service is available to your destination and the procedure for the same.
Alternatively, you can go directly to the parcel office and enquire.
As I was staying quite far from Yeshwanthpur, I opted to call on 139 and enquired beforehand.
2. There was only one train to my destination from YPR (Yeshwanthpur) which departs on Thursday morning. So I reached the parcel office with my bike and luggage on Wednesday early morning itself. I didn't travel as a passenger in the same train. I Just booked the luggage as parcel.
3. Now first thing to do after reaching parcel office is to get the bike properly packed and fuel emptied by Packers available nearby. I could find one packer shop open near the parcel office itself. You can just ask anyone around parcel office and they'll tell you the location. The name was 'Bharat packers'. Here you'll be offered different types of pacakaging. I opted for cardboard+bubble wrap packing. First fuel was emptied by the packer. Keep in mind that fuel taken out will be kept by the packer itself unless you ask for it. So you should bring an empty bottle with yourself if you want to take it back.
Now the packing done was okay. I was charged 590 which I think might vary if you can communicate in the local language and have better bargaining skills.
I got my three cartons packed as well in two different sacks which were of the same material as cement sacks.
4. You might need a porter to carry around the cartons from packer's shop to parcel office if it's heavy.
5. Now after duly packing the items and bringing them to the front of parcel office, it's time to collect parcel booking form from the counter inside parcel office. Bike and cartons were booked differently so I filled two copied of the same form, one for the bike and the other for cartons. Remember to bring a pen with you for the same. You'll require a xerox copy of any ID proof and a xerox copy of bike's RC for the bike. For the cartons, just a xerox copy of ID proof will do.
There's a column for item weight in the form which is to be kept blank at this point. After filling up the form, you should ask at the counter that you need help with weighing your cartons. The warehouse incharge will help you with the same. And After weighing, he'll fill up the item weight on the form. Further, he'll verify that the bike's fuel tank is empty by trying to start the bike. At this point, bike shouldn't be starting.
6. Now, he'll give the form at the counter to start processing. The counter guy will collect all the documents' xerox from you, will verify the details and give his verification on the form. Now this form has to submitted to the booking counter guy who'll fill in all the details in the system and generate the booking receipt and now you have to pay the booking amount.
7. After this, you can go to warehouse incharge, he'll help you to keep the parcels in the warehouse.

Typical govt office. You won't get any proper information about parcel process. Nobody follows COVID appropriate behaviour including officials. Everyone ask you for money.

Please pack the luggage from home, otherwise you need to pay very high. Also carry a marker pen with you as you need to mention the consignment nos in the parcel

I had gone here for parcel my bike to Bhubaneswar, it is open 7 days a week morning to evening 7 o clock, aside Majestic railway station,

Better you should prefer to choose majestic station.
Officials here don't guide and respect people. Long waiting time they ask unnecessary extra charges.

Need to have 1 copy of RC & 2 copy of ID proof for vehicle transport.
Timings - 8 am till 10 pm

Ask monkey for everything. Need to pay extra for packing even though receipts includes packing. Again 100rs extra for mediator.

Working days - Monday-Sunday
For everything they will ask money.
No one will guide you there. Please carry your pen and marker. For 5 mins work they will strech it to 2 hours. Carry your ID proof and RC photocopy.

You have to pack your vehicle near to the station. Packing cost around 550 and 650. Then fill up the form and pay the amount to parcel office and it depends upon how much valuation you will quote for your bike. I. Quote for 15000 and have paid 6500 to the railway. Then loading of your vehicle charge again 200 each. Not sure why so much amount they charge. Hope this will help you to transport your bike to another state.

People are rude. Couldn't understand Kannada, they didn't know english. In hindi they couldn't convey, so there was confusion they went rude and yelled at every other line they had to speak.

Very bad experience still they to improve the lower ground works ask the money for small help.aslo

The packing should be done in one place (price INR550-650). Then u have to go to parcel office and have to pay the bill for transportation. Waste of money

Staff are bad.thy dont respond properly.
Only one staff is gud he sits in the entrance.
For dog parcel we should atleast one day before with confirm ticket n fill the form.

Recently i have parcelled my bike from yeshwantpur to secunderabad. Took my bike to the parcel counter, enquired about it. They asked me to get RC, ID proof, ticket if you're travelling in train and packing the bike. Went to bike packing center (authorised), its not railways. They have charged 590 for packing and emptied the fuel tank. Went back to the parcel counter, submitted the documents required along with the filled form. They gave the document for bike examination. One of the staff has come and examined the bike, checked for fuel whether its empty or not. He signed the document and asked me to goto the counter. After paying the amount in counter staff asked me to hand over the bike for loading. After Parking the vehicle for loading where the guy asked me to park and He gave me the bike key. He (i guess not staff, contract guy) asked for 100 rs (unofficial) for loading the bike.
Through out this process YPR parcel counter staff were very helpful and guided me.
Next day i got the bike in secunderabad

1. As soon as you reach this place.there are some other packers and movers services who will provide 2 kind of packing services.a. Single layer (price range- 400 to 450)
b.double layer (bubble wrap) (price range- 500-600) complete scam.

(Get Xerox copies of RC and any I'd proofs and make sure to empty the petrol from the bike)

2. Go to parcel service office and fill in the form and they will ask for resale value of bike (less Amount you say lesser the transport charge they will take)

3. The person who write the number on the bike will again ask around 200 rupees for no reason (ofcourse no one wants argue as our bikes are in their hand.we want them to delivered undamaged) such a scam and officials are lazy here.you just have to wait here wasting time just to get a sign on the form.

Though it's a government office, but the staff is awake and diligent for there work. Just follow the process and your parcel is sorted.

Please be prepared and go to parcel office.two things, you need to prepare for your travel or shiping bike.second thing is before that station one parcel guy will charage you around 450 to 500 for bike parcle.second thing is you need to empty your bike that parcel guy will do it.he will take petrol.as usal you have to stand in the line pay the fee and leave the vehical.note: when the vehical is reaching distination you have to pick it up with in 6 hours of time else you will be chaaraged

Ypr Railway parcel staff are the best I have seen. The way the replied and handled is very good.

Compared to other stations like howrah and delhi, YPR is very organised, clean and well maintained.

The staff don't bug you much for extra pocket money. I think language barrier saved me.: P

But overall YPR Parcel office was a good experience.

People sitting their are very rude, I had to parcel bike and dog.
For bike packing, guy standing outside parcel office was asking 600 RS.and when I argued in return he told "if you want packing give 600 or else go". Why railway has not fixed any price for packing.

And for dog, they played well.first they will say dog box is there.and when I booked ticket, they said dog box is not in particular train.this happened three times with me. I cancelled 2 tickets because of them.how careless are they in their work.one ticket I have book in 3ac in tatkal. 2600rs.i cancelled it because of no dog box.they are not talking with people.no proper information they are giving to people.can one please suggest where I need go and complain about them

This the point where goods are dispatched on train. At the parcel office they support even for packing 2 wheelers and dispatching over train.

Great customer service till date received from a govt agency.salute to their style of working.inspite of language issues they function smoothly with outstation civilians

I Don t even want to give that one star rating. Poor service and response. They don't t respond to calls.

It's not customer friendly place and all tamilians.they won't reply in kannada or Hindi
English basically they don't know I feel. Bribe oriented service here

It's good, the vehicle which I got delivered to me from home was kept in good condition, not much formalities to receive the delivered items

Availability of water is not present.money hungry people are there to swallow your money for receiving any railway courier (bike or cycle or any parcel). They wont inform u at all and they will charge 10 times extra money as storage tax for your parcel
