Visited Raintree resturant, personally welcomed by owner Bheem sir,
Tried chicken ghee masala and paneer rice, everything was outstanding.
Worth to try next time.

Best place in coorg to eat and chill. The food is amazing, whenever I come here I don't forget to visit this place. Be it Veg or non veg, the ambience or the service, everything is really good. And don't forget to say Hi to Bheem who is one of the most humble host I have ever seen!

I have visited the place on 28th dec 2023, with my family. And it was an amazing experience.very nice ambience, good quality food, excellent hospitality. I would recommend every one whosoever visit Coorg, must go to this restaurant to taste good food with nice and cozy ambience.

We spent a really nice and relaxing evening here after a hectic day. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the ambience is amazing. Shout out to the owner Mr Bhim Singh, a veteran, who ensured an enjoyable experience for us. Would definitely visit again!

We were visiting tourists, and ther service was bad, the owner, captain and staff were checking only locals who were seated next to our table. It was kind of racist. And the food served was cold, we should have tried a packa local hotel to get the authentic Coorg dishes. Waste of time and money

I Go To This Hotel Yesterday Its about the Raintree Hotels Biriyani which is. If you call rice soaked in purfumed oil as Biriyani, yes then they served Biriyani. If you call oiled rice mixed. Other Foods Are Not Good As They Shown In The Picture or menu. Don't Go To This Resturant. Please Read My Review Before Go To This Resturant.

The Owner is a cool person, and the staff is very friendly, but sorry to say the food is not upto the mark, we were served cold mutton fry which was sad and inspite or telling them it and reordering it.we got the same. Anyways it was just waste of time and money. They focus must be on locals as they visit regularly and not on tourists.

Good food even better coffee!
Vitenamese iced coffee was heavenly and pinky was a brilliant server.

The place is awesome with wonderful food. Staff are very decent and professional especially pinky the captain was too good. The owner Bheem Singh sir was amazing with his gesture and hospitality is top notch.

The food was delicious. Animesh is a friendly guy. The best thing is food is served real quick and the taste is unbeatable.

Even Kodagu DC, Ms. C Somal madam, IAS recommended this restaurant for good taste to us. The appam and ghee roast chicken was delicious and the Tender coconut payasam literally foodgasamed us.lol.it was just amazingly delicious. Staff is indeed very polite and efficient.

Taste and quality doesn't quite add up to the price. It's still one of the better places in Madikeri, not out of it's own quality, but simply because other options suck pretty bad there.

Coconut payasam, goan prawn curry, appam and stew ; all dishes were bang on target.
We turned up on a Sunday when they were full, and I was initially disappointed in the staff's curt behaviour. Ended up there the next day by chance, and found them to be much more friendly. It looks like they are overstretched, with long waits (1 hr) on holidays.

Great and compact place in town with decent food menu. Yes tasty food. Rates are average. Good beverages collection.
One star is less for items availability. Only 60% of menu items are available.
It's a pet friendly restuarant as there is decent place for sit out for pet parents.

Food Taste is ok and taste like homely food, service is good and fast. Compact place with limited seating. Menu is bit overpriced though. Ordered a soup, starter, main course, few bread and rice. Coster around 1k. No local cusine option but it is more pan indian and Mangalorean dishes are good.

We had a wonderful lunch at Raintree. The restaurant is situated in a beautifully preserved 100 year old building. We had appam, chicken stew and green coconut payasam. The food was delectable and the service prompt and attentive. The counter outside had an impressive variety of fresh ground coffee to take away.

Very very bad experience. And overly priced. Rotis were half cooked. We ordered food which costed 1500 but it wasn't worth for Rs 500.worst food we ever had.

Their yelanerpayasm is the signature dish.light in sweet almost a ice cream like consistency, it is must try i u visit this place.the costs are bit much.it is a good place to try if u are not on a budget.

Good food. The place is well managed and also the staff is great and attentive.

You should experience the signature dish payassum in desserts.

Had an absolute horrific experience here with the food served below par in terms of quality! I understand the restaurant industry is going through a tough time, but being served such food for that high price is unacceptable!

Yeal neer Payasam (tender coconut payasam) is the highlight.
One would fall in love with the ambience.
Overall I felt the prices for some items were not justified but I came out happy and that matters a lot.

Must try Akkiroti and Koli curry and Kerala parota with mutton roghan fish curry.

Also a must try Elaneer payadan

Best hospitality a warm welcoming by restaurant owner himself and a traditional style of restaurant with wooden flooring and slabs.

A very fast service and good suggestions by the restaurant service team.

Reached pretty late for lunch but they were open and welcoming. Owner and staff were great and food was good. Mutton and chicken was good, though surprisingly, their pandi curry was not very good with pieces being mostly fat. Tried their home made wine which was good. They allow you to taste before buying. Elaneer payasam is a must try.

Best restaurant in Coorg for Tasty food, ambience and hospitality. Owner greets you really well and is very patient with you while suggesting different dishes. You may find it a bit costlier when compared to other restaurants in coorg.but those other restaurants don't give you the same tasty food. The only negative is that they have tandoori items only on weekends. But I didn't miss Tandoori I tried their Mutton Rogan Josh and it was simply unbelievable. This is the best mutton I had tasted after zaffer Bhai's Delhi Darbar of Mumbai. Too Good! This restaurant will be my first choice for my next visit in Coorg. Elaneer Payasam is a must must Try! I gave one star less cauz they charge service tax over n above GST. So what ever your bill will be. You will have to pay 10% extra (5% GST + 5% service Tax). Which is a bit surpricisng.

This is one of the best places to eat in Coorg, great food, great ambience and amazing staff. Food is extremely tasty be it any cuisine and moreover the staff keeps checking if you liked the food or not. Over the weekends they have live tandoor which is even more fun.

Ate the prawn ghee roast. Was insaneeee. My wife ate the mangalorean veggie curry. She'd give it a 4/5. And full marks for ambience and service.

We ordered chicken pepper for starters on the managers recommendation. It was super bad. Blant chicken pieces was simply put in dry gravy.
For main course we ordered Appam and Manglorain chicken curry. Again they simply added blant chicken pieces. We couldn't even finish it.
Tender cocont paysam was ok, but not worth the price.
All review seems to be fake.

Chapati from a packet! Any self respecting restaurant wouldn't do that. Also mushroom fry had stuff dried for ages. And unreasonably priced for the fare they put on the plate. Hugely disappointing except that the place reminded me of my younger days walking past that lovely home with beautiful people.

Too much price for the food and some items were not good.compare with others do the price tags and.increse the quality

Decent place with decent food. Neer dosa and chicken curry are my all time favorite here. A bit over priced though.

Good food explore the local cuisines like Chicken curry and Pork with appam and Kerela Parotha. Don’t miss the Ghee roast planner or chicken. Priced 20 to 30% higher than regular places but a perfect space. Maps could take you around a lot so please check with locals for the right route

Nice cottage where Gandhiji stayed when he visited Madikeri to recruit people for the freedom movement.
Now converted into a restaurant without altering the rooms.
Food is good. Serving time is long after ordering.
Good for familes and groups

It is one of those restaurants which ranks highest in hospitality. The owner himself will greet you and also make sure all your needs are met.

The location is little difficult, but absolutely worth.

Go and ask for recommendations, they will provide you better options than you can actually order for yourself. There is a coffee tasting kiosk in the property.

Food quality & hygiene was good. Service, staff & manager were cordial & service was prompt. But a little bit expensive restaurant. Tandoor is typically ready on Fridays & weekends only. On other days, less crowded. Closes at 3-30 pm on Mondays to Thursdays. On Friday to Sunday, closes at 5 PM & starts at 7 PM again.

Excellent hospitality and good service are let down by indifferent good and gloomy interiors. That said, this is still one of the better placed to eat in Madikeri.

The mutton was not fully cooked.

Food taste is very good. Nothing much about the ambience. It is just old building, but very neatly maintained.
