Beautiful place ️ beware of kids to exploit us asking money or food over and over. Once is fine, again and again it is not. (This might seem insensitive but thats not the case) We gave some money, and biscuits. Again they came asking for things again we gave a packet of biscuit then they asked for our water that also we gave. By the end of the day we felt a little exploited.
Ramadevara betta and also one & only vulture sanctuary in Karnataka. Its near to Bengaluru mysuru expressway (RAMANAGAR). On the top of the hill you can find beautiful view and PATTABHIRAMA TEMPLE. The legendary movie SHOLAY (1975) was shooted and it became popular as SHOLAY HILLS. There will be Anna prasada only on weekends.
Part 1 - climb to the temple - some 400 steps, recommended for all ages and health conditions, go slow. Part 2 - to the view point above - no steps - not difficult for a average person, enjoy the climb up. Not for kids and aged people.
Amazing trek experience. 400 steps in the beginning and later a pointed hill climb which is moderately challenging in normal weather and could be risky when it's raining. The Ram temple on top serves free lunch prasadam everyday a must try.

It did cross the new mysore Bangalore Highway project as well.
Now at the parking spot, you won't find much development. Most of the visitors are for the Ram temple and Shiva temple a top. It's clearly not been a Go to place like nandi hills and there is a reason! U cannot drive 4 wheelers till the top. U need to climb almost 500 steps.no park or chill-out places in between like what nandihills has on offer. One needs serious Ba**s for the last leg of the climb, only once this climb is completed, one can enjoy the sight.and it's marvelous.and worth the climb.
Out of hundred folks 80 might reach temple nd leave back.
20 might reach till the last giant Vertical Boulder
And out of 20, a 10 won't even think of attempting the climb a top.
Out of last 10 an 8 might climb nd reach on top and make a successful Ramadevarabetta trek.
Nevertheless, there are a large group of trekking folks with proper footwear nd accessories reaching the spot for the trek.
Blissful place lap of Mother Nature. There are around 4-5 temples. Around 300+ steps and 500m+ short hike to reach the top. Paths are well marked and safe. To reach the top a steep rock climb is present of 30ft+ but with steps cutout and railings support provided. The view is next level. Recommend to visit early or late noon but closing time is 5pm. View is next level from the top. Entry fee is around 25 rs per person and yes paid parking both will be collected at the entry.
One of the good hill station near to bangalore. This has steps and this is very easy for trekking. This Place has very beautiful view at the top and has good photogenic spots too. There is a temple on the way to top. This temple was providing food in the afternoon when we visited.
Must visit once at least and don't miss the top most view. It's a small walk towards the hill from the Patthadirama temple. There are steps carved on the big boulders, it looks difficult to climb but its manageable. The view from there is worth it!
Some 40 km from Kengeri, this hill is a great place for a day trip. The view from the top of the hill is outstanding. There is a Temple of Lord Rama on the Hill. Going there one needs to cover hundreds of staircase to reach the Temple. From the temple there is one more hill you can reach by taking a iron swing. But once you are up on the top the view in around is is so astonishing that you will feel like coming here time and again. When we came over here we didn't know that the place is so fabulous. After coming here only we came to know that it is so exciting and adventurous. The Vulture Sanctuary is also an added advantage.

Visited twice and want to visit again. Good place for people who like trekking. It is also a vulture santuary. After entering the gate, you should travel straigt instead of taking a right diversion towards the temple to visit the vulture habitat. But you can rarely see them. The population is very less. You can count on fingers.
Though this place is full of temples, as you climb higher, the view sure is mesmerizing. The views are breathtaking, count me on this. There are supposedly three hanuman temples/idols, one ishwar temple, and one ram mandir. The place has historical importance and the pandit at one of the hanuman temples will explain it you. The place has abundant trees that provide proper shade, so need not worry bout the scrochy sun even if you plan to go in the afternoon.
It sure is a must-visit if you live in or around Bangalore.

A nice place to trek and take a view of the outer areas of Bangalore from a height. The road to this place is broken at places and its a shame that it isn't repaired. The price to enter the area is 25 rupees per person and parking is available. The climb to the top has around 400 stairs and some rocky areas and is not a challenging climb. A nice place to go once. Ramadevara Betta is pilgrim center for Sri Lord Rama devotees and this place is the only Vulture Sanctuary in India very close to Ramanagara the land of 7 hills or Silk City, 50 kilometers away from Bangalore. Lord Rama and Sita stayed here during their exile and established Shiva Linga for their daily prayers and also Lord Rama shoot an arrow to create pond emerged with water called Ramatheertha it has never dried up till now and no one knows depth of it. This location is best for a shorter trip with your friends or family members. There is an entry fee for all age group people and parking is available.

The entry to this place is closed on weekends and holidays to reduce the rush of people as the virus is still around. But one can still go near that place and hike to the nearby hills as the whole place has a bunch of hills which do not need an entry ticket like this sanctuary. It is good for you to spend some 2 hours.
Beautiful place, completely green. The weather was awesome. Nature at its best. You need to take some 400 steps to reach the Hill top view points. There are some temples for Pooja. Nice place to spend your day.
When i went there on Sep 5th 2021 with Family by driving over 60 km. They not allowed us to enter, Mentioned that its closed on weekends. However there is no information mentioned anywhere. We tried moving around the place just before.but Locals forced visitors to leave. There should be mention on these changes. Please dont travel there on weekend. Anyways seems a good place, may visit later.
This is one of ancient temple and trekking place. Its belongs to ramnagara district. Its just 45 to 50km from bangalore. Only weekend and government holidays the temple will be opened. Enjoying place and good environment, silent place

Nice place to visit LORD RAMA temple is very serane. Lord Hanuman temple is also good. Need to walk more road is slipery but good experience. Can visit Sunday or on holidays. Parking area is available for car and two wheeler.

A very peaceful place with cool whether and the wind passes through the trees is too cool.my trecking experience is too cool but ve care ful while reaching the top of the hill. Over all a good place to visti with family and childrens.
The place was more than I expected to be. Suitable for weekend visit. Driving distance from Bangalore town. Absolutely no vultures are found during our visit. A temple available in midway where we got free prasada (meals). Moderate level trekking. Lunch was provided in the temple when I had visited and the lunch was very good. And to reach the peak you have to climb the rocky steps which looks thrilling and the view from the top once you reach is amazing. It is the highest possible point of the place.
Everyone are allowed to visit, but climbing the rocky steps with the kids would be little dangerous. Better to spend some time in peace at the peak. It will be a beautiful view to watch from the top.
Entry time is at 9am till 5pm. Way till the temple has steps which takes almost 20 to 30mins. Parking spaces is good. Also there is a small fees which is taken at the entrance- for 1 person Rs 25 and for 1 bike Rs 10 and for 1 car it might be Rs 20.
If you are planning to visit, do visit once. You will never regret visiting this place.

Name is Vulture Sanctuary.hwvr its awesome godly hill station.half hill car can go.then hve to climb around 400 stairs.its worth climbing as u get blessed darshan of temples uphill and breath-taking view from hilltop.one can go with family n friends.on holidays Prasadam is also arranged there.
This place is really nice specially for those who wants to test their body: d. Not too hard track but difficult for few, like me, who doesn't do much activities. View is awesome. And temple offer free food once you reach to temple. Washrooms need serious attention from government. If with 25 rs per ticket is not enough to maintain washrooms hygiene, please convert washrooms to pay and use washrooms. Think there is even no water to wash hands in washrooms. One can imagine why it needs 4 lines to get attention, specially go corona go still on. I'll add some videos and photos later.
Excellent. Temple n Hill opens at 9am. Pls don't go early and wait. Early morning wild life activities are more hence forest dept opens gate at 9am. Relatively easy trek to Temple. Upon Temple there's a hill view other than that nothing to see.
Best place for weekend, climbing up the hill is thrilling watching the vultures, and temple place of Rama is so mesmerizing that u fall in divine love for the Rama dirty inside temple
One of the best outing place near Bangalore. One can go for one adventurous trip. So many buses are available from Bangalore from bus stand it is 3-4 kilometre away. Vehicle reaches till the starting point of steps. Gate opens at 9 a.m. Nearly 400 steps are there to reach the main temple. One more old temple is there just down left to the main temple. From main temple way is there to reach the top of the hill. Climbing is very easy here. Only in one place one must be very careful to reach the top. Once you reach the top you can find the some vultures. It's totally very nice.
Simply loved the place. Involves a bit of trekking but the views are breathtaking.
Entry fee is 25 per head and 20 for car parking.
Initial climb consists of 400 steps to the temple situated at the top. Followed by a simple trek to the higher altitudes, with view points in between. The last part of the climb involves scaling a near vertical rock, but it has been made easy with the help of steps cut into the rock surface and railings have been installed.
Have seen kids also climb the same but it is not for the faint of hearts. And one must be careful.
The final climb is what unlocks the beauty of the place with a large flat surface with breathtaking views in any direction one looks.
A very good place to check out. The entry starts only at 9 am l. They won't allow anyone inside before that. The place has around 400 steps to the top and then yoy get this view. The fact that we cant go up before thw sunrise or earlier than 9 am makes it a place which would be very hot.

Very calm place.we had been here towards March end and due to lot of trees it was not so hot. There is a watch tower, parameshwara temple, pattabhirama temple and further up u can go from there to get awesome view

First time been to this place Drove car there, parking charges apply Timings start is 9.00 in morning Amazed to see the nature beauty from top There's small ground where we can park the car. There would be approximately 200 stairs first, then we reach a point where we can see small pond. On the way there's Balaji temple, had darshan Before reaching top place there's steep stairs which we have to climb very carefully After that we can just enjoy the amazing greenery, mountains from there. Thoroughly enjoyed. Great experience.
