Raaya gopura is incomplete structure yet it is beautiful piece of art those carvings on pillars is just beautiful

One of the most scenic place that can be seen in Melukote. Best place for photoshoots also. There is no entrance fee when I had visited this place. Highly recommended one of u not yet visited

Nice place to spend some time around two-Three hrs. The view surrounding is very good. Most of the people who visit Melukote which is one of the historical places that includes two main temples one is Cheluvanarayana swamy temple and Yoganarashima swamy temple also visit this place. Yoganarashima swamy temple is on a hill. And Cheluvanarayana swamy temple is near the bottom of that hill. And near this place (Next to this) there is a place called Akka, Thangi kola which looks good. And this place appears in many kannada films and is famous for it. I recommend everyone to visit this place if you visit Melukote.

Very beautiful. The half finished monument itself is so elegant and beautiful. I wonder how it would have been if it was completely constructed.

Incomplete but beautiful. Actually it's the south gopuram of cheluva narayana swamy. But it is unfinished. Very famous for cinema shootings.

The ruins here make for a wonderful place to explore and just soak in the history. Easily worth a visit

Very beautiful spot. Calm and serene place to visit. Beat suited of pre-wedding and modeling photoshoots. Sad part is visitors have scribbles nonsense on walls of such state of the art monument.

This place has good photo shooting presences. It is 400m way from Cheluva Narayana temple. One can visit akka tanginu kola, Melkote Kalyani, dhanush koti, Yoga Narasimha temple. And you can plan for visiting more places in mysore.

In Melukote near Mysore. Badly maintained and neglected and in ruins. Salutations only to the great guys who created this stone masterpiece centuries ago. Meant to be a location for celebrating festivals and military victories.

Been part of hundreds of movies. Walkable distance from Akka Tangi Ponds.always love to climb up and enjoy the view around.

Beautiful place, only for the view & the calmness. Don't expect anything else, it's an half finished work from the ancient times, a Panaramic view of the rocks layed down with carvings telling tales.

Ok kind of place. Many Kannada movies were shooted here. Will not take more than 15 - 20 to see. If one is a photo creek, they will have nice creative shots. No guide no rest rooms no facilities. Only some small petty shops for some munching. Good parking place for all kinds of vehicles.

It is the famous shooting location just 1km from Dhanush kote. The pillars are having beautiful carvings. There are some stone benches to sit under the tree shade.

It’s an historic place to visit and monument to see, where is an unfinished building by a King on a challenge and many movie shootings have been done here and now it’s famous for pre wedding photo shoots.

One of my favourite place. The Gopura is built by Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana. It has four pillars of Splendid architectural work. The Pillars are splendidly carved. The Gopura is shown in many movies and tv serials. Best place for Photographers to take nice pictures.

If you visit Melukote, dont miss to visit Rayagopura. Many film shootings done here. Good place to take photographs.

Nice place.many film songs are shooted here.from this place u will get to see yoga narasimha Swami temple.on the way to this place u will see akka, tangi pond.it is best place for photo shoot.u will see many couples there.for pre wedding photo shoot it's best place.and u will see a lot of photographers n they will give u photo copy for 30 rupee.according some story I heard the king build this place within 12hrs.from 6pm to 6am.that's really great right.and I'm requesting all of u please don't damage this place.please keep it clean.

Nice & Historical Place In Melkote Near To Temple Neatness Should Be Maintained Here Many Languages Films Shooting Done In This Place Crowd Will Be More In Weakened Parking Place Available But Limited Good To Be With Family & Children

Nice stone structure, built in similar line of great Wall of China, this is a big structure like watch tower a top of hill where we can clearly see and watch for long distance, watch movement of anything. May be used for surveillance in olden days

It's called as danush kote. This place is chosen for filming purposes in many serials and movies. The view is awesome from top of the building. It's not a huge building but have lots of space around it and can walk around, go inside it and climb to the top. Awesome place to click pictures and capture memories with scenic beauty. It's a beautiful place to relax and do not have to take lot of stairs to reach the place.

Location for many film song's shooting, from Thiruda Thiruda, Guru, Rowdy Rathore, Etc to name a few, sculptures and carvings are amazing.

Prefer sun rise or sunset time so that the place will be at its finest beauty. Avoid harsh sun as there is no shulter.

The Rayagopura is a famous incomplete temple probably built during the Vijaynagar empire.since it wasn't been able to complete within 24hrs the construction was stopped abruptly.
The place is having amazing history.many epic movie scenes from sholay to padayyappa Rajnikants movie has been shot.must visit in melukote.u can watch the beautiful sunset from the top of the building ND it's ideal spot for any kind of photo shoot.
