Must Visit religious place. Visited this holy place for the first time with my friends. Climbing is steep but the scenic view, the visit to the temple and the darshan of the God Sri RevanaSiddeshwara is awesome. Had prasada as lunch at the temple premises below the hill. Must visit place for both religious and nature lovers.
It well versed temple which is built on a small hill which is a monolithic rock in which the temples are divided in two parts one lower part which can seen before we climb up the hill and main temple on the hill top and there is a way for the main temple entrance it is a trekking way of 30 to 45mins the temple is dedicated to lord shiva and Sri Revanasiddeshwara who lived in this mountain as a saint. It is a good place which makes you refresh from the city life, at the top you get good view of nature the temples are carved in inside making a cave.should visit once!
Very good place for nature lovers. Peaceful with spectacular view at top. Be bit careful while climbing steps up and while coming down as at some places it's steep. Monkeys are there which can snatch any eatables if carried openly. Climbing hill NOT allowed after 3 pm for safety reasons.
Visiting this small hillock, with a temple on top of the hill, a beautiful scenery with a pleasant breeze, is a great experience. This place is just 11 kms from main road near ramanagar (bengaluru-mysuru road), a must visit place
Revanasiddeshwara Hills situated at Ramanagara Dist. After long time visited this place my friends.
On weekday temple opens at 830Am On weekend and Monday temple opens at 730 Am
Well maintained place with good parking space and they made good place to enjoy the sunrise view and also you can reach safely to hill top. Which main temple is there.
Best one day destination in Bengaluru who looking for trek and also with family.
Sri Revana Siddeshwara (SRS) hill located in Ramanagara District 50 KM from Bangalore. We have two ways to reach here from Bangalore via Mysore Road and Kanakapura Road choose the route wisely which ever is near to you search route map before you start. To reach on top of the mountain we need trek for twenty minutes, path is easy to moderate carry enough water to quench your thirst. All aged group people can climb it there are handrails for support and roofing is covered with sheets to protect from all seasons i.e. Monsoon and summer. There is temple beneath of monolith rock in the name of Sri Revanna Siddeshwara Swamy (Saint). It's good for family or friends one day trip from Bangalore you can see spectacular as well 360° panoramic view from the mountain.
Simple and small trek. Nice place for a week end getaway. Took 1.5 hours to reach from Bangalore. 30mins to climb up. They have provided railings to hold while climbing. So it is safe for even elders. Scenic place. Try to go when it is not very hot. Carry your own snacks, water bottle.
This is a wonderful place to visit and a great day for family outing. Takes about 1 hour to reach the top and a 5 minute descent to the temple. All around views (360°) is definitely a must capture for photographers. Lush green forests with water sources makes it just awesome. The AQI here is zero (meaning the purest air) one can breathe due to which you can see mountains afar without any magnifying glasses. The locals are friendly and you'll be charged approx 10 for parking your bike/car. Not a lot of eateries present in the vicinity rather you'll have to enter the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway for food options.
Everything is upgraded. So nice and historical place. If any want to stay den there are many resorts near the hills. One main thing is daily anna santharapanam is going on from mutt it is really to be appreciated.
This is a good place for panoramic views of the area down below. Temple is also good. Some special entry is required to be made for old people without so many steps to go down and climb again.
Ramanagara is around at a distance of 49 kms from Bangalore. We started from kengeri ksrtc bus station at around 6: 30 am in a ksrtc bus which headed to mysuru. We got down at ramanagara ksrtc bus station at around 8: 30 am. We had a quick breakfast at a near by hotel at a reasonable price. We took a local auto from the bus station to the srs hills which is at around 14 kms from the ramanagar ksrtc bus station. We reached the hills in 20 minutes. We started our trek at around 9: 30 am and reached the peak by 12: 00 pm and took the blessings of the lord sri revanasiddeshwara swami. We got down the hills by 1: 30 pm. And again we took a ksrtc bus from srs to the ramanagara ksrtc bus station. We Had our lunch at a near by hotel. We started back to the Bangalore by 3: 00 pm. There are very frequent ksrtc bus available both the ways. The SRS - Revana Siddeshwara Hills is amazing with awesome scenery at the top hill.
I visited SRS with family and this place can be reached easily from Ramanagara (14 km), Maddur (38 km) and Bangalore (63 km). No trekking/parking charges. At the bottom of the hill there are a Shiva temple and various shops available for snacks. As we started the trek, the climbing was not difficult since steps were craved and covered with sheet on the top with also grills around. The trek can be done in 30 minutes to the top hill. The monkeys on the way add fun. At one spot of the rock hill, its bit scary where need to be bit careful. Once we reached the top hill spent about 2 hours enjoying beautiful nature around. At one side of the hill there is lake view and on the other sides its surrounded by various other hills. The 300 feet high makes it exciting. At back of the top we need to step down to visit a temple if needed.
Overall I feel, this is great place to be with family and friends.
Very nice temple with scenic beauty from top of the hills. It has around 1000 steps carved in the mountains with the shelter covered completely so that you can climb it without the fear of sunrays. Overall it's a nice temple to visit with friends and family and have a nice time. View from the top of the hills is awesome.
Nice place on the outskirts of Bangalore city. There are 3 temples located in this place. The surroundings are tidy. The temple inside is just awesone. Absolute divinity. There is ample parking space both at the bottom and at the hilltop. One can witness lot of monkeys. And they don't disturb the visitors. View from the hilltop is beautiful.
Nice place. Suggestions: 1. To temple authority: Please keep some dustbins. There is no dust bin found. 2. To Visitors: Stop throwing wastes in the area. Many uneducated tied some things on the trees with plastic. Now plastics are more on the trees than green leaves. Most of the trees situation is same. At least Temple Trust should keep some information on this. 3. Some are tied on the side support roads used while climbing. Those are also should have been removed to make it much clean.
I love the place. This is amazing and relaxing and spiritual. The view is too good. You can climb without burning in the sun. The whole path is shadowed. Some steps are too dangerous. Not preferable for couple with small kids. Also age old people
Excellent pilgrimage place to get positive vibes spiritual place for getting peace of mind and a great decent place for moderate endurance trekking har har Mahadev
Behind words, feeling of bliss as always. Beautiful place to visit for young & old at any point of time. People visiting should keep the premises clean & enjoy the nature beauty.
