Beautiful, Clean and Spacious River Side Resort with peaceful ambience, well maintained rooms and amenities and good service by Mr. Arun and other staff at an affordable price. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed every moment spent there. Could go for leisure walks along the river side road. The beaches (thaneerbhavi and Panambur beaches), boating and some of the important tourist places are nearby. The staff assisted us in getting food, vehicle for travelling around places. Overall a very satisfying experience.

The location was absolutely pleasant and loving. The staff was very courteous in their service and friendly. Strongly recommend to stay night and enjoy the sky view & the river view. Perfect location to enjoy.

I had visited last week. Property is great, rooms were clean and Service was also good. Staffs are friendly and very helpful (Arun I guess, forgot his name and morning shift uncle). I had gone solo and stayed there for 4 days. It was great experience, kinda workation. Internet connectivity is great. It was my first solo and bit worried about safety on first day as there were no other guests in the resortbut no need to worry about that at all, staffs are too caring.
I didn't face any issues at all except mosquitoes Just beware of snakes, those are regular customers there as property surrounded with greenery good to have own vehicle as auto charges are bit expensive.
Swiggy and Zomato are available to order food but delivery charges included since the property is bit away from city center.
Overall, loved the property. Great place to stay there for long time as well
During my stay, i had covered Kadri, Koragajja adi sthala, tannir bhavi Beach and panambur Beach. Explored little near resort as well (kodikal).
First floor terrace is my favorite place there, you will get to see great view

River View Resort was a very pleasant stay and one of the best resorts in Mangalore for this price range. Great for morning walks and morning coffee! The property is located on a picturesque location on the bank of river Gurupura. Gautham and Arun were very helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Tucked away in a nice river front, this place is highly recommended for families and groups. Rooms are decent, no complaints. There is an open parking area, a well-maintained lawn, a portico and plenty of places to walk around. Their terrace gives a view of the Mangalore port during sunset. Food is not available, except for Tea or Coffee. However, we can order from food delivery apps. They have a fully functional fining area too, which could accommodate upto 20guests. Arun was of great help in getting our needs sorted. It is pretty close to both Thannirbavi and Panambur beach.

Best place to visit for relaxation. It's quite. The staff are very courteous & go out of their way to help. Rooms are clean.

The resort is located adjacent to the river banks. View from resort/rooms were good. Rooms were spacious, clean. The terrace at the 1st floor was good to chitchat with families.

Nice place with beautiful river view and greenary to stay at a reasonable price. Hotel rooms were hygienic. Toiletries were available. Hospitality is very good. Staff service and behavior was also very nice. You have to order food from outside but they provide the arrangements for dining. Had a pleasant stay.

Stay in Mangalore? ; This is my 1st and Best option.

This place was great, especially the host. He never declined any of the requests and was always helpful. The place was nice and serene.

This was my first visit and my experience was awesome. Cleanliness, well maintained, supportive staff and most important it was completely homely environment. Mr. Kartik was available every time we needed him. We would love to visit every time we go Mangaluru. View is superb and nice.

The place is really good. You won't find it that hot because there is river right in front of it. But service has to be better.

I stayed at this resort for a week with a friend. One of the best and most peaceful experiences I’ve had in a long time. The owner of the resort, a Mr Kartik greeted us at the entrance with his ridiculously hospitable personality. Rooms were clean and well kept. The view from our room was of the lush green lawn followed by the beautiful river. The resort restaurant was unfortunately shut but Kartik suggested some of the best restaurants with different and exciting cuisines for us. We came here to try our hands at adventure sports and he very kindly booked us surfing and kayaking sessions. Will definitely come back to stay longer.

To start with the bunglow is superb with great location and view. I had my cousin marriage and we had booked the whole bunglow for 6 days and it was totally worth. I had a function which had 50guest and we easily accommodated it in terrace. I can’t pin point any flaws. Now I should say kartik the owner make u feel like home. He helped me with everything from my function to making my stay comfortable. He is the best owner I have ever met. And the staff there are so helpful that they are always ready to help you in any form even in mid night. They are very supportive. I thank kartik and the 2 caretaker for making me feel at home. I will never go to a hotel when I am in manglore and I would really recommend everyone to visit this property. Thank you v much kartik for wonderful hospitality.

A no-frills guesthouse that welcomes you with a wide open porch, right by the river and and comfortable air-conditioned rooms. The rooms themselves have a spacious bed along with huge windows that give you a glimpse of the greenery outside. Plenty of food options available for delivery by Swiggy. Special thanks to Karthik for sharing recommendations on the best hideouts to explore in town. All in all, recommended for anyone traveling with a friends or family.

Prices are too high.not value fr money.rooms were not as shown in picture.rooms are not even sanitise.as the name suggests say river view it was more of Ambuja cement view.it was so noisy.didn't had much to do.

Chill no nonsense place with a great host (Karthik) who helped us out with surfing and kayaking close by. Priced well and worth every penny. Will come again to this bliss place

A peaceful and quiet stay overlooking gurupura river. They don't have much food options but staff was very courteous and professional and can arrange food from outside if needed.

Residency is good.but they dint give us river view rooms.which is like cheating.front view is good to click pics.there are rooms on terrace, which they reserved for some function.so dont expect that you will get river view rooms.

This is a grand looking mansion with a pretty garden and a biased caretaker. The name of the place is 'river view', but all the views we had were of four walls.

Huge, spacious house but the middle aged caretaker was more like a hostel warden. He expects you to stay in your room after dark and not come out for anything. I deeply regret booking this place to stay in.

Worst room worst service the management is pathetic the person who runs the place is too stingy and strict it's more like ur going to a hostel pls dont go to such a place

Nice Place to stay. Approach road is a bit bumpy. Hot water available only in the mornings. Food is to be ordered from outside. Neatly maintained.

This is like a hotel but unlike hotels, room cleaning doesn't happen everyday if you staying for more than a day.place is maintained well. View of river is like watching any channel.nothing exiting about view.you can order food which comes from some other place.food is decent

Very nice and peaceful place to stay if you want to get away from the crowd. It felt a little expensive considering the facilities offered. The river right next to the hotel is a good place for evening walks. Other than that not much is offered.

We were here for a family outing (11 members) and had taken 6 rooms.
Some of the things which we really liked are its location (on looking the river) spacious rooms & garden and the privacy (as we booked almost all the rooms in the house)

As always - no place is perfect, one big inconvenience we faced is every meal had to be got from outside as only Tea/Coffee is available. We didnt like the food that comes from their own hotel and the scene of seeing so much food packed in plastic containers

In such places, at least the break fast should be served

There were some service related hiccups which got sorted out by the owner & caretaker

Nice place, there's ample parking area and located close to main road with very clam and clean surrounding. Please check the room type and amenities as facility differs with the room. They will arrange for food if you need any.

Well maintained and opposite to river. Little strict in terms of timings but economic and beautiful place.

Property is very clean and scenic. Presently road to resort is under construction plus rain so it was not at all advisable at this moment. Major flaw is they don't have kitchen, for food you have to order minimum a hour before that also chapatti and all will not be hot. Care taken was very good and sofe spoken. Facility of ola, uber is also very very less.

The AC doesn't seem to work and the food isn't cooked here (They get it fr their main branch) so yeah it might take some time for your food to arrive. All in all, it's okay-ish to stay at.

Well maintained place. You can have peaceful time. Food has to come from outside so may not be as you wish, however you can also try Mangalore cousin just a km away, so not a major drawback. Get your own vehicle.

Cost worthy room for family. Good view outside of stay. A little outdieo of City centre but easy reach.

Stayed here for a day. Great view of river from outside and from window. Almost like a resort. The outside has lots of greenery and hibiscus plants. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There is a kitchen area with chairs and tables to have food.
The location is quite close to bus stop and other popular attractions. Also the highway connecting to udupi is close.
Cons:
The WiFi wasn’t working well. The road leading to this place isn’t all that good. It’s mostly mud road so be prepared for a hard commute. No taxis or uber available around.
