I would give this hotel a 0 rating. Dont get deceived by 4 star hotel indication. This hotel doesnt even deserve 1 star. Worst service, worst cleanliness. Bathrooms are so ugly and smells. STAY AWAY FROM THIS horrible nightmare. No wifi, no phone. And on top of all of that, receptionist was so rude and dont care attitude towards guests. Horrible experience staying in a hotel

Visited the vegetarian restaurant only and while the food was good the manager had a major attitude problem, was rude and impolite. The manager really made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as we were a bit wet due to a thunderstorm outside. The manager questioned us if we were wet and made such a big deal of the same. If they are so concerned about people being slightly wet, being in a place were it constantly rains, they need to ensure that they furnish their place accordingly and not make their customers feel awkward. The hotel needs to seriously consider changing their restaurant management as I surely would not recommend the place despite the food being decent.

RNS residency Murudeshwara - When at Murudeshwara, stay at RNS residency Murudeshwara, no other options to even think about. Beautiful n best sea facing rooms with lively scenic view of beach as well as Murudeshwara temple. Total relaxation place. Good restaurant at ground floor with South n North Indian dishes available. Complimentary breakfast included along with breakfast. Yummy food n lovely accommodation n overall value for money

Hope this post can help you today. Writing for end of Oct 2021. This used to be a luxury hotel but presently they still charge you a lot but you do not get the worth for the money paid. The roo.maintenance is poor although the hotel looks great from check in counter to restaurants etc. The rooms are quite bad. I have attached pictures of what you can expect. I had booked 3 rooms but each of them had some or the other issue. The staff are super friendly and quite responsive but the maintenance of rooms and bathrooms are horrible.
For the kind of money paid, I expect it to be worth it. What I liked was the AC and View from balcony (sea facing room 4th floor). Some electric kettles didn't work. I was also told for bathing, I need to run water for 5 minutes to get hot water, but it didn't work and I didn't get any warm water for bath.
The hotel does not offer 24X7 menu which is highly disappointing specially if you want to order something off restaurant hours. Unfortunately there aren't any good hotels in such great location so I would have to choose the same but i will definitely not pay as much as I paid and will ask for all facilities promised.
No wifi provided by hotel. Expect to see mosquitoes in room so ask for a mosquito repellant machine.
Water bottles offered are 500 ML X 2, only one towel for two guests, One tiny shampoo bottle which might not be sufficient if you have long hairs and just one offered.
Please check your blankets and sheet as they were quite dirty.

Poorly maintained rooms with pathetic service. Inspite of being at a great location, the hotel isn't really bothered to do anything about this. Same is the case with the Murudeshwar beach which is not only a great natural beauty but also absolutely dirty, and the authorities seem to care not a bit!

It's quiet run down and needs a renovation and don't expect anything of 3 star in this hotel. It's only surviving because of it location and view.

I have travelled a lot around India. RNS was one of the worst experience.

The breathtaking view from our room on the 6th floor was awesome. We saw the sunset first and woke up early enough to see the Sunrise. Pleasant stay.

The best thing about this property is it's location. It is just adjacent to the Murudeshwar Temple and the sea. The view of the sea from the balcony is simply breathtaking. It has a restaurant in it's premises which serves only veg food. The food quality is good and prices are reasonable. It has swimming pool and golf course. The hotel has centralised air conditioning facility. The rooms are big enough for a 3/4 member family. They provide all the bathroom accessories. The property has ample parking space. The staff of the hotel are well behaved and attentive. Now coming to the downside of this property. From the outside the hotel looks old. The interior of the hotel is good, rooms are neat and clean. But the furniture, curtains, blankets, bedsheets look old. The worst part is the toilet pan which has yellowish tint. Wish the hotel management can give more attention towards beautification of the rooms and hotel exterior. Another annoying part is the noise comes from the beach in the day time, especially the sound of the speed boats is irritating if you stay inside the room in the day time. Overall a good property with all the amenities for a beautiful stay.

Very bad stay, damp smell and old set up.we had booked 2 rooms and one room had fridge leakage and room was wet with water leakage. House keeping guys were not available after 7 pm. Light goes and come every 10 mins. No wi fi in rooms.not at worth for the money

RNS Residency badly needs an renovation. Hotel tariff is on higher side they will never give you discount no matter what the season is. Only good thing is the balcony n view you get it from there.

Most Pathetic Hot experience ever, Property at a great location very badly maintained rooms and bath, The front office don't even know the meaning of customer service, the restaurant service was awful, thebroomservice order was delayed by 2 hours, I had to go down and shout the so called.manager guy on duty, Most un clean toilet seat, the housekeeping lady staffs were very helpful in dressing the rooms, that and a great location was the only positive experience, else the holiday experience was awful.

The hotel has a good view from the room, but the staff at reception Mr Sridutt was very rude. There was no negotiation from the staff end even if I was halting there for only 5 hrs. I was highly let down by his inappropriate behaviour towards the customer. The rooms were as well not fully functional, some rooms had AC malfunctioning, some room did not have proper facilities in the washroom. If its possible please avoid your stay here.

Best hotel stay in Murudeshwar. Clean rooms, swimming pool, efficient room service, 24 hrs warm water, comfy for my kids. Morning beach view from my room was amazing. Would love to be back.

Stayed at RNS guest house. The rooms are in dilapidated condition. Doors don't get closed properly. In Bathroom, the knob for shower and bath taps comes off. Some how we managed to hold and get water. Curtains are in torn state. Fans and other amenities were build some 15-20 years back and are still surviving there. We booked AC room and too was non-functional. Check for a better place while visiting Murudeshwar. Only plus point was the location of this place. Nearest to beach and view is good from the hotel.

This is the only 5star hotel if you plan to stay in Murdeshwara. The view from 4 and 5th floor rooms are worth the price. You would absolutely enjoy the view. The rooms are well maintained and the food is also pretty decent.
The Murdeshawara temple being just few meters away from the temple adds to the positive aspects of the hotel. It offers small swimming pool, spa, a hall and a gym.

This location is very nice, but maintenance of entire hotel is very poor. Rooms are not hygienic as I expected, still the tariff is ₹. 3000+tax and also quality of food is very bad. Please renovate the entire hotel and make proper use of the beautiful location

Beautiful place to stay. Very relaxed ambience with sea next door. Try to get 6th floor. Thats the best for ocean view. Morning u can watch all the water activities happening, chill at lunch and enjoy the evening sunset. The temple is walkable from this hotel. Very good to take kids too. Totally recommend.
Only negative is that no nonveg in their restaurant, probably due to temple nearby. But veg food is great and we did get buffet break fast, which was really good.

The minimum to give was a star. Else it will be zero.

The location of this stay is commendable. It is situated right behind the temple of Murudeshwara and along the ramp of Shiva's statue. This place offers the view of the gigantic statue of Shiva as well as the scenic, endless view of the sea. They have options of AC and Non AC rooms and the difference between the two is approximately 600 rupees. The rooms are tidy and the toilets are clean and well maintained. The place is quite old, so the doors and walls seem a little fragile. Although the experience of staying in this guesthouse was wonderful, the only thing that put me off was their check-in and check-out timings. They have a fixed check-out time no matter what time you check-in and they are not flexible around the check-out time. This was my only concern while staying here. There is a pure veg restaurant just outside this guesthouse or you could always visit the restaurant that is present inside RNS Residency (the huge property which resides next to the guesthouse) for food (although their service is extremely slow and the food quality isn't great). Apart from these small hinderances, the guesthouse is a place I would definitely recommend if you are visiting Murudeshwara and if you are okay with spending approximately Rs. 1500 per night.

We stayed in RNS Guest house for a day. The rooms are not at all maintained well and would be a major concern during current times. They wouldn't even provide a bottle of water. Tea coffee is also not available. Staff are not very helpful. The only good thing about this place was the sea view from the room.

Room are extremely old, no room service, hot water available only from morning 6-9, at this age no landline in room.
TV only in A/c room that too of 1995 old CRT.
But they chareg you 2890/- for AC & 1650 for non A/C.

Frankly speaking this guest House can be one of the best to stay for overnight in the between the river. The sounds of river can quite make you feel very relaxed and exciting. The esrli morning view of shiva temple and river view will make you mad. Ahhh thats the life we want to live. Request Everyone to ho there and enjoy the most. Jai Bholenath. Jai shivshankar.

Zero maintenance, 1700/- for a non ac room which needs serious maintenance. Otherwise it is right next to the sea, close to the beach.

Great staff wonderful view from the room of beach and Shiva statue. Only problem was since it was close to the beach there were many insects in the room for those of you who are considered whether there is a swimming pool let me tell you that only rns residency has pool and rns guest House doesn't

The RNS Guest House and RNS Residency are located besides the Murudeshwar temple. The balcony offered sea view whereas the front door opened towards the huge Shiva statue and temple.

The rooms are big and well furnished. They offer AC/Non-AC rooms at the Guest House and only AC rooms at the Residency. The property has unmatched access to temple, beach and nearby market area. The staff if polite and helpful. The only negative aspect was that they did not offer room service. However since the RNS cafe and Naveen beach cafe are located in and around the premise there was hardly any problem. For lunch or dinner one can also go to the nearby Naveen Beach Resort. All three of these offer excellent food.

Panoramic view of sea on one side and Lord shiva big statute on the other side makes the stay unique. Room rate is on the higher side, however we get a pleasant accommodation. We get excellent vegetarian food in the restaurant, which is positioned inside into the sea and we get a shiplike atmosphere there.

Peace of mind. Makes senses expand. Love this place. Been here 3 times in a row in last 3 years.

Very good place to stay beautiful view from balcony but not so friendly staff no restaurant still it can be improved I think mangment should take some more intrest where we were staying we had a beautiful beach view but ther was some garbage things in building premises if they concentrate in some minute issues they will be best for all time

RNS Guest House and RNS Residency are both located inside the Murdeshwar temple campus. RNS Guest house is aimed towards the budget traveller. The place has got an awesome view! The rooms have a balcony which face the sea and beach. While from the front door, you can see the temple gopuram and the huge shiva statue
For food - you have 2 places. RNS Cafe is a fine dining place. There is a budget hotel right opposite the reception near SBI Atm. (you get only veg food in both places!)

This property is the closest to temple with view of Murudeshwara on one side and panoramic beach view on the other. There is restaurant too but they may offer only North Indian food in the night. Rooms are very old but neat and clean. People usually check for availability in this place before booking any other hotel.

Rooms are ok but not well maintained. Good part was that I could see Lord Shiva's status and beach from my room.

Best options to stay in Murdeshwar. Sea facing rooms with private balcony, can enjoy the sea view from the balcony. One of the very few decent accommodation available in Murdeshwar. Parking is another plus at this facility. The place is just adjacent to temple.

This guest house has the best view with one side (Gallery side) having sea view and the other (front side) having Shiv statue view. If you are lucky you get to see dolphins in the morning from the balcony. We were lucky to see the same. The rooms were clean upto the mark and TV was also there for additional entertainment. Free car parking is a add-on and once car parking is done in a safe place the temple and statue can be visited by walking.

Rooms with small balconies overlooking the sea, the view is wonderful. That’s about it! Place badly needs a makeover. Hot water available for two hours in the morning. The staff is okay.
The temple, the Shiva statue, Gopuram are all nearby. Avoid if there are elderly people with you. It’s an uphill walk.

Nice place to stay. Very close to Murudeshwara Temple and famous Shiva statue. You get amazing sea view from most of the rooms. Murudeshwara beach is at 2 minutes walk.

One of the worst place I have stayed in my life ever. The facility is so bad that you won't feel entering into the room. Advantage is it's location and view. Except that everything is a rip off. They charge you the price of a 3star facility. But offer a shabby facility. Shabby is a better word for this actually. I had asked for extra bed and check the pics for the condition of it. Flush stopped working in the Midway. Room was full of flies by morning. An AC room with no proper insulation! On top of all this the attitude of the staff is pathetic. I would strongly recommend to stay away from this property.

Nice place to stay. On the room balcony, beautiful sea view is available. On the other side Shiva statue is there. Only problem is if you are not having car, it would be difficult to climb the steep road to access the hotel rooms. Which is situated in the top of the hill. And for walkers there is no proper facility to climb. They have to walk on the normal road.
