Communication, coordination, process and procedures are hopeless. The doctors are qualified, some staff are helpful but some are roaming around aimlessly and haplessly. Most of the equipments are old. The hospital beds are worse than railway berths. Nobody tells you any process so you wouldn’t know what to expect, by that time you would’ve wasted half day waiting in the hospital premises. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital unless you are particularly looking for a doctor who is available only in this hospital.

I had worst experience in emergency Ward today. I want there for B12 Shot and they had denied totally, I request Sagar Hospital Management to look in this. And emergency doctors behavior was not appropriate, He asked me to admit and than they will give Injection. Worst ever experience and I told receptionist about this but she couldn't help me regarding this. If someone is coming to Hospital, not for Joy or to enjoying there, Need to understand that patient should treat at most priority. Worst Worst Emergency experience and the Doctor, who asking to admit and than they start the treatment.

Don't visit this hospital, very much worst service. We took an appointment prior to coming to the hospital for doctor Arun S V and waiting for one and half hours. This happens every time we visit the hospital. The doctor went for rounds or Drinking Coffee. When you give an appointment you should check the doctor's availability, there is no point in waiting.

Dr shanthala and team made my delivery so smooth that I was too happy thank u mam for love support towards us.

I had admitted my mother for surgery of a gall stone. We were covered under the "CGHS" scheme. After many enquiries many hospitals were reluctant to admit her. However due to contact with one Mr. Prakash, this hospital accepted the same and admitted and done the surgery successfully. The doctor's in the hospital were very cordial and empathetic towards the patient. I am grateful for the services rendered by the hospital and particularly to Dr. Poornachandra, Dr. Vamshi krishna and Dr. Shivananda.special thanks to Mr. Ashsish, for making the process hassle free.

Good and reputed Hospital in terms of Service. But there is no separate que for senior citizens at the first floor OPD. We had to wait for 15 minutes just in order to make the payment and doctor consultation took about 15 minutes.

This hospital branch has some serious administration issues. New registration takes hours, no queue management while consulting the doctor.

With much disappointment, I am writing this review

I along with my mother, wife and infant baby have CGHS card. I keep visiting your hospital for treatment under CGHS scheme. Till then nothing happened so I could write to you. But today, something happened which forced me to express my grievance in black and white.

On 12.08.2023, I had to visit your hospital as my baby, Abhijay Bhargav fell on the edge of main door and had a small wound on forehead. Doctor available at hospital saw the baby and prescribed medicines with follow up after two days i.e. 14.08.2023 and we paid the consultation fee of Rs. 400/-

As suggested by doctor, today I booked an appointment, over phone, with Dr Umakanth Adiga to get my baby checked up by the doctor for review followup. At give time of 1.30 PM, my wife along with baby visited the hospital and at first floor reception she was asked to pay Rs. 350/- again, my wife questioned that consulation is valid for 5-6 days. The lady at counter insisted that you have to pay Rs. 350/- for every visit as 5-6 days validity does not work for CGHS card holder. My wife paid Rs. 350/- and got baby checked up.

We are visiting your hospital for last three years, such instance never have happened.

Now, I want to express my displeasure why CGHS card holder has to pay every day to meet the doctor and why validity of 5-6 days is not applicable to CGHS card holder?

Under which law and regulations, CGHS card holder can not avail validity period of 5-6 days, if such business is there then we are left with no choice.
In view of above ordeal, please do the needful. I have mailed also to infobsk

I would like to thank Dr Abdul Aziz riyaz, Dr kishor rao, Dr bhagyashree for successfully doing endocopic brain surgery for my wife. We come from Bangladesh nd were new to Bangalore, we met Dr Abdul Aziz riyaz in his clinic he explained in detail that my wife was having brain tumour of which she loss her one eye vision, my wife was very scared becoz one relative told she will die if I undergo brain surgery but becoz of Dr Abdul Aziz explaination nd his humbleness we felt he was our own, he told to get admitted in Sagar hospital, the facilities in hospital are very advanced nd tey took very good care, I like to thank sajida for guiding the admission process nd discharge smoothly, we were discharged in two days, same day she was made to walk. The surgery had no stitches and we are flying back to bangaldesh happily, thank u once again, I recommend Dr Abdul Aziz, Dr kishor rao nd Dr bhagyashree for any brain surgeries tey will give best results.

I had a great experience with Dr. Shanthala (gynaecologist). She had made my pregnancy journey much smoother. Also very good care was given by the labour ward staff.

I had consulted ENT doctor. I have a real pain in my nose. But he said there is no issue. My consultation was not more than 2min. But the amount I paid is 650. He don't even listen to what we say. How the pain started and how it is now. He kept saying.there is no problem.there is no problem.what ever you have is as part of your body when I try to say my concern. Worst consultation

Update: I was pretty sure that something is not right in my nose and consulted another doctor. Turns out to be I have an infection. If I have left it considering the consultation from sagar, the infection would have been expanded.

Very poor maintenance including wash rooms which may infections will spread from wash rooms to healthy persons. Especially in icu section and ground floor section. Concerns please look into it and take action as soon as possible. Govt hospital wash room's is better than Sagar Hospital wash rooms.

Best gynaecologist in town! Got my delivery done here with Dr. Shanthala S. She has been my source of encouragement and always supportive throughout my pregnancy. She has given a solution to all my issues every time.

I had under gone emergency laparotomy with left salphingectomy suspected pulmonary embolism. I was in critical stage.but dr shanthala help me to come out of this danger.thank u mam.am doing too good. And happy for your love care and concern towards me.

Pt name M Ramesh we are consulting dr Mallikarjuna Nephrology. He is one of the best doctor. I am the dailysis patient i done dailysis 50 times after consulting Dr Mallikarjuna he has given me a good treatment, now i am free from dialysis i would like go thank dr mallikarjun for giving freedom from dailysis.

No separate que for Sr citizens at billing. From past many months there is no endocrinologist but big ad for diabetes. Ridiculous. Few consultants never be on time. During consultation they give importance to mobile calls. Never listen to patients g properly. They treat report not patients.

Dr Shantala madam is our go to gynaecologist in Sagar hospital Banashankari. My wife and my mother trust her for correct advise. My wife had good experience while delivering our baby in Dr Shantala's experience. My mother also had good experience during her hysteroscopy procedure. Dr Shantala explains about our condition clearly and explains about the procedure and removes our anxiety about the surgical procedure or treatment options.

I got my mom admitted here for uterus issue doctor shantala explained issue very well which we had no idea of from being patient with us till the surgery even after that she explained how to care after surgery and gave right medicine to get cured.

My daughter tanisha had under went lap cyst torsion with right parafimbrial cyst.am feeling greatful that dr shanthala cared my daughter like her own daughter.even surgery went successful. She is doing fine.thank u once again mam for all your support and love towards my daughter.

OPD has more MRs than patient causing lot of inconvenience to patients particularly now when during COVID mandates social distancing,

No empathy, no care no proper expertise.we have gone for my son, 12 years old for radius distil operation. It was a nightmare. I simple common operation could not carried by the Docotors.sent a mail to review the operation to Discipline committee and respected Trustees. Sent an email to this in this effect. The Trauma we have undergone is cannot be explained.when we gave sample out for Covid test, thses guys have asked to have the same inhouse. Hospital was not hygiene room was pathetic.
The 12 year boy had to go for repetition, Doctors fixed one wire without balancing and not thinking about the outcome or have they planned for one more operation to get more business.but boy had to go for operation imagine the antibiotics intake, Anastasia twice, every moment was delayed by 15 days.

My wife condition was too bad.blood loss.sugar etc.we showed to many doctors in Assam.but was not that much satisfied.came to Sagar hospital and consultated Dr shanthala.she said us only one word I will take care not to worry.got operated she is perfectly fine.really I felt good and happy.my wife is perfectly fine and doing good, thanks a lot mam.

Building, patient food is good. Other than that it's a waste hospital to trust. My father was admitted in casuality at midnight for seizures. As he has past cardiac history he underwent all related test while inpatient. Cardiac dept is very good. The main problem was neuro, the reason behind admission. It was not all addressed. Dr. Kalyani the neurologist came after admiitted into hospital but never came again even after shifting to ward from ICU and arrival of reports. They evaded deliberately as everything is normal. After a long time wait till evening the next day we insisted staff to call her. They said she is helpless as busy in OPD and emergency room (which doctor sees in emergency u public decide). Such irresponsible answers we got. After continuous insists she came didn't even approach near patient to speak. Stood near entrance point to our bed and asked satire way "what u have decided for the patient". Made random changes in prescription orally and went way. My father was allergic to certain medications and its dosages which were never addressed and not bothered to know. As she was hostile we too couldn't say it. Somehow we managed to get discharge and went to old doctor to seek review of updated prescription before consumption and we were right. Such was a nightmare experience we had here. Here I will not blame nurses as they have to listen their bosses at the end of day. 1 is also more for it. U can see they have online responded only to positive reviews

Dr vamsi krishna sir is best surgeon in Bangalore.underwent surgery successfully. He was Very supportive throughout the recovery time. Is available on call any time to answer our quires. I dont even want to give start also for this hospital. Seriously its the worst hospital. They are not life savers but killers. I lost two of the close persons of our family because of this hospital treatment. I donno what they do to patients in ICU without leaving us to see and as soon as we tell to stop treatment they will give us newa that patient is dead and still they tell they have to do scanning treatment and all after declaring dead also. Really its very sad to tell. Especially Dr. Kishore, I donno if he is really a doctor, the people i lost trusted him soo much but still they did not get there life. Two days back before getting admitted patient will be so fine but once they put to ICU decise that the patient will be dead in this hospital. I seriously suggest everyone not to go to this hospital please. I don't want same thing to happend to others like how it happened to us. Please dont go to this hospital.

Emergency ward thou it's open 24/7 no doctors was available when I went there. Only sister or brother ll b Available they ll talk to doctors and write prescription for you and will ask to meet next day. Next day when I visited hospital, der is no que all ll rush to dr cabin n say first me first me. When my turn came I was coughing badly he refused to talk to me and sent me for CT scan, blood test n all, when I went back with reports he said to meet him in emergency ward. He never showed up himself again nurse over der prescribed something n took covid test. I was very sure I hv no covid n I m allergic to dust. I again went with covid report which was negative and they wanted to charge me for follow up I fought n didn't pay. Doctor der who attended me was impatient and all he wants to make patients to go away from his cabin as soon as possible.

Dr shanthala mam helped us a lot during our surgery.though surgery was risky she tried her best.we are happy for her time everything.thanks a lot mam.active and simply a good and lovable person.she is too friendly.

I successfully underwent Hysterectomy surgery by Dr. Shanthala.
I felt operation went quite smooth for me as I didn't experience any pain during and after the operation.

I got my dad a surgery recently, got in contact with Nethra who works in registrations OPD. Since that meeting she took care of everything and made my experience seamless. From the insurance point of view to the discharge, she was helpful and also the hospital care is fantastic.

The hospital is a warm place, the care is very good from the nursing staff. My doctor DR. Basavaraj K, orthopaedic surgeon did a brilliant job on a very complicated fracture of my left elbow. I would definitely recommend the place and doctor to anyone in need.

We take appointment with Doctor Kishore KS and he has no time sense what so ever. The hospital staff is useless. They don't even Guide or convey any information if the doctor is late or what we have to do. They are all having a jolly good time shouting and playing in the room adjacent to doctor's room. This is just a good looking government hospital or a post office.

My bro got admitted due to covid and he was der for about 10 days, in general ward all ward sisters and brother were least bothered about any patients, they are not giving water also to drink and asked patients to do on their own and service was very poor. I would say doctors are professional. But not house keeping team they were serving to only who give money to them internally.at last during discharge, for ambulance we were charged 3k for just 7 km distance when asked driver why so much he said 2k for ppe kit and 1k for ambulance. I was surprised, ppe kits available at 500 rs good quality.anyhow I accepted to give 3k and he did not bring new ppe kit, he just used the ppe kit which he already using on daily basis. Being so reputed hospital I never expected this type of services from sagar.thank you

Came for RTPCR test for my wife. Upfront they say it will take 72 hours. Registration and swab taking is in one end and payment in another end. This is a good recipe to spread the virus to even healthy accompanying people. It should all be done in one window. Please try to do something on this.

Our experience at Sagar Hospital has been outstanding. The service rendered by the staff, the co-operation of the admin team, during these stressful times are nothing short of a blessing. I took my relative, a senior citizen, for dressing of a post surgical wound On 26th June 2019 at 4: 30 pm to this hospital. At the outpatient desk, there were 3 attendants engrossed in pep talk unmindful of patients waiting. The dressing was subsequently completed and we had to wait for 30 minutes for the cash receipt. The reason given is that they did not have the password for the receipt printer. After they got the password the receipt was printed in duplicate and the patient was asked to return one copy to the dressing nurse. Is this the job of the patient? There is a patient relations manager who just goes round and she has no control on the people at the help desk. I found the atmosphere totally disgusting.

One more bad experience on 10th April 2021:
I took my wife, a senior citizen, for some lab tests today at 6: 45 am and there was no one in the lab to take samples. We were asked to wait for the technician. When no one turned up even after 30 minutes, I was told that due to transport strike, the concerned technician was walking from home to reach the hospital. I was appalled to hear that a hospital with commitment to run labs on 24x7 basis does not even make some alternate arrangements for its staff to reach hospital in time to attend to patients. When more people started to gather for lab tests, I had to request the only staff in the reports section to help and she obliged though tired after the night shift. Is it proper on the part of hospital to keep seniors waiting and exposing them to unwanted infections especially during the pandemic time?

It was a bitter and worst experience in Sagar hospital, Kumarasamy layout, Bangalore for me and my wife, both above 75 years) went there on 3/3/2021 for having the first COVID vaccine: (it was a long drive from our residence).
1. First, the car parking was a nightmare, it takes minimum 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to find a parking place.

2. The place was heavily crowded like a fish market and no one to guide us about the process, even the receptionists there could not.
3. The registering area was another mess—-all two types of registration, already registered ones and and walk in persons, were all seated in the same place and handled by the same persons in the desk, no segregation of desks. As a result, people started crowding round the counters and might/ influence was always right. Tokens given were totally ignored.
4. It took more than 4 hours to get our jab.
5. The most atrocious part, if I can say so, was to get the certificate of vaccination.
6. Many phone calls went unanswered or when they answered they got our phone numbers and said they will send it “in the next 3 days” and the 3 days was eternal even after my calling them at least half a dozen times.
7. In frustration I was forced to go with my wife in person after almost a month (despite the distance and car parking problems) and I was driven from pillar to post for checking who will help me.
8. At last, the receptionist asked us to wait for 15 minutes and got our Moblie nos. That 15 minutes became one hour as she was the only one in the counter. Later she could, locate only my wife’s (Vatsala’s) certificate and gave it asking me to again wait for another 2 minutes. After half an hour when I went to remind her, she said the server was down and noted down my cell no.once again, promising to send the certificate in 3 days. She also gave an excuse that more than 500 persons were vaccinated on that date. It is 10 days till now and I am yet to get it.
Evidently my mobile number was wrongly entered at the time of registration. What is my mistake in this? I am yet to get my message on this or certificate though my wife got it.
9. To crown to the agony she suggested that we get our second vaccination also there so that we can get both together!
Utter callousness towards customers, bad arrangements and nil follow up.

I recently received medical care in this hospital. The doctors, nurses and administrative staff were all excellent and very helpful. They went out of their way to provide the best treatment for me and thanks to their help, I was cured and back home very quickly. Really wonderful hospital and people. Very thankful to them!

It has been the worst experience ever. My dad had got covid positive and was admitted to Sagar hospital on 19/4/2021. He had undergone kidney transplant couple of years age. As one might know any organ transplant patients are at high risk when tested positive for covid. My dad was admitted under Dr ARUN of Sagar hospital, he was one of the most money minded pathetic doctors I have ever seen, when we went to ask about the patient conditions he was extremely rude to us and he said "I want see patients admitted under bbmp" and only visits privately admitted patients. That made it clear that bbmp does not pay for consultation of doctor but privately admited patients have to pay for consultation of doctor. Secondly the behaviour of the hospital staff was so bad the I had to fight with them to get proper medical facilities. We were so fed up with the hospital that we had to discharge the patient only after 48 hours. Even when we were ongoing discharge procedure the nurse was so mean to the patient that the patient (with 103' fever and barely able to stand) had to walk all the way from his bed to the nursing station to inform her to remove the catheter. The nurse was so busy on the phone that (using hospital phone for personal use) for about 30min the patient had to wait in front of the nursing station. We tried every possible way to contact the nurse but she was too busy on the phone.
Lastly what If want to convey to hospital is the people come to hospital to get better but with this kind of behaviour and way too much of negligence the patient conditions get worse. Please do not get admitted in Sagar hospital please don't

Waiting for Test result more than 72 hours and calling to the contact number doesn't pick up the call. Improve COVID testing procedure - complicated process includes registration, billing, SRF registration, pharmacy (which could be avoided by having the gloves, swabs in testing location), testing at different places.by the time we are spending almost 1 hour to complete the testing and which is a high risk for people to contact COVID in hospital scenario.apart from this issue, it’s a good to go hospital with neat maintenance and friendly doctors, staffs.

Worst experience to even reach the reception. Had to wait over 23 minutes to get to someone. It prompts you to press 1 for call back and once you press 1, it automatically hangs up. Wasted about 30 mins altogether. Also, I was told the test results would be available in 24-48 hours while it’s taking more than 3 days. I could have opted for a govt hospital for free instead. Also, the service I’m getting is after I pay for the test and also buy them an additional pair of gloves and essentials for the test. I have never seen this in any other private hospitals. Too bad of a service from Sagar!

This is a time we all get together and help each other rather than taking advantage and looting people!
