Ordered special thali, dragon potatoes and banana flower curry… thaali was not bad, banana curry was average and dragon potato was bad… don’t look for ambience, it is a humble dhaba style place… I guess so many good reviews as the owner is particular about it.

Food is really tasty. We couldn't find any authentic local food in hampi for almost 1.5 days. After that saw reviews about this restaurant and gave it a try. Food was yumm, hygiene was okay, right at ambedkar circle (best location) and price is also very budget friendly. They serve food on banana leaves. A lady (Amma) is managing the restaurant.
We had ordered special curd rice, papad, banana flower curry and chapati.
Chapati were so big in size and really good. Banana flower curry is super tasty (tasted like jack fruit curry to me). Curd rice was yumm (I would definitely recommend special curd rice). Overall a nice experience.

Just one small issue, sometimes the banana leaves are not washed. Do give attention to that. Though Amma wash it and change the leaf immediately if you find any similar thing. Thetre service is good.

Food quality is excellent, very tasty but service is quite late. Food quality surpasses that late service. Must try Banana Flower Curry and Cashew Curry. Also try Curd rice was awesome.

Overall food quality and taste is good. The prices of food are at an affordable cost. Due to high rush you will get somewhat delayed service at peak hours. I would recommend to taste Curd rice.

During my recent trip to Hampi, Karnataka, I had the absolute pleasure of discovering a true culinary gem in Kamalapur. This restaurant, situated just a stone's throw away from the historic ruins of Hampi, exceeded all my expectations in terms of taste, service, and atmosphere.

From the moment I entered the restaurant, the welcoming Aunty made me feel at home.

The menu boasts a wide array of mouth-watering dishes, catering all vegetarians. As someone who loves exploring new flavors, I was delighted to find an extensive selection of local and regional specialties from Karnataka, as well as some popular dishes from across India.

What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the incredible taste and quality of the food. Each dish I tried was bursting with fresh, authentic flavors, and the chefs have truly mastered the art of balancing spices and textures. The portions were remarkably generous, making it perfect for sharing with friends or family.

Not only did I leave the restaurant with a full belly, but I also felt like I had gained a deeper appreciation for the rich culinary heritage of this region. I cannot recommend this Kamalapur gem enough to anyone visiting Hampi or the surrounding area. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines delicious, hearty food with a warm, homely welcoming atmosphere, look no further.

Very local restaurant, where I had meal 120 rps, the quantity was ok, the taste not bad but not good either. Served on banana leaf for those who want the experience.

We were in Hampi for 5 days and we were truly lucky to have found this restaurant on the first day itself. The food was homely and of the highest quality. The owners of this place, Prashant and his mother (Aunty) were hospitable beyond words. Despite the huge rush during peak hours, they always welcomed us with a big smile and ensured that our wait time was minimal. Each and every item on the menu was top notch as also the special items dished out to us which was not part of the menu. The food was very reasonably priced as well. Overall it was a lovely experience as apart from the delectable cuisine, it was the warmth and love with which they fed us that made the difference.

Love this place what a find for pure veg and it's clean. Food is really tasty and at reasonable prices. This is by far, the best Jolad rotti place I have ever gone to. Freshly made Jolad Rotti served with a two Palya & Salad, followed by rice, Sambar, Rasm, curds & Sweet.

If you are coming to Hampi then please don't this Jolad Rotti meals!

If you go with auto wallah. He will take you here. Not worth the cost. Oota is 100 rs and is not worth at all.

Bad experience, slow service, same guy was clearing plates, cleaning tables and he doesn't clean his hands before re-heating chapatis, serving food to customers.

We visited this place to have lunch during our trip to Hampi. This seemed like a restaurant frequented more by the locals. There was a heavy rush and had to wait for a fair bit to get a seat. If you visit during the peak hours then things will be a bit frantic inside. We even got our food spilt on our dress by the staff during our visit. The food tastes decent enough though we have had better.
Overall an average experience with decent food which we will not miss if we had to look elsewhere.

Worst service, please don’t go by the reviews and ratings. They are understaffed and also they didn’t even keep water, to attend things they took 15-20 mins min to get one item

Good place to try the local cuisine. Variety of options. Best part is they have other cuisines as well (very convenient for big groups, if someone wants to have something other than local food).
Its a small hotel, so don't expect great ambience. Go here purely to satisfy your taste buds.

Friendly staff, tasty food. Only two person including aunty hotel's aunty servicing the hotel causing too much delay in service. Cleanliness can be improved.

Best veg food in and around hampi. We took jowar roti thali along with sweet Lassi. The combination was amazing and filling. Aunty is all-rounder, she makes sure customers are attended properly and food is served quick and hot. Reasonable price and Ghee is provided to each table as a self service bowl. Small place but really nice food.

Parking is on the road side but ample space available.

The food taste is fantastic and authentic to match north Karnataka food prep style and menu. The quality is great and quantity is more than sufficient. The cost of thali is reasonable. The owner of the hotel (Amma) is a nice lady with a great hospitality attitude. She would come to your table after every serving to ask if you need anymore food.

From Hampi it’s about 4 kms down road (you love the drive).

10-12 tables. Aunty is strict for her employees. Gets angry if customers are getting delayed due to slow serving. Clean tables. Tasty food. Lassi was superb. Roti meal is preferred more commonly. Located in kamalapur near museum.

Everything tastes great here. Food is medium spicy. However, you can tell them how spicy you want it to be. Veg kofta is a must try. It's a pocket friendly restaurant with great food and service.

One of the best restuarant in Hampi. The best part of here i loved was, special "banana flower curry". It was so tasty, especially the masala they prepared was awesome.
