Visited the place for lunch, had chicken biryani. The food was tasty. Reasonably good ambience and future for the price range. The staff was cooperative and helpful. Recommend to try chicken biryani/ Kerala sadhya.
Amazing light hearted space for yhe foodies. The malabar parotta is worth trying. Mutton biriyani was too good, and nandi kozhi curry was also very delicious. All in all a very good place for hard core non vegetarians
Second visit here, and after many years. First visit was right around the time they started, and can't recall how it was.
This time went for Fish curry sadya, chicken biryani, porotta and chicken roast. I have been trying to get a good chicken roast in BLR, and it's been a unfulfilling quest so for, till today. This was one of the best chicken roast, period. Its on par with some of the roasts I have had in Kollam and TVM. Thank you for making my day with just that dish. Biryani was good too, and so was the fish curry. Sadya was decent, porotta was disappointing. Don't know why BLR restaurants take our Mallu staple food so lightly. Very often it's the soft and soggy version that we get here, not the crisp and fluffy type we get back home. Not sure if this one was ready to eat variety, but didn't enjoy it. Just that the next level chicken roast made me forget about the shortcomings of porotta.
Payasam - palada was decent, but Ada pradaman was surprisingly good. Overall, very very good meal. Enjoyed it. Will be going back for that chicken roast.
Just had both mutton and chicken biriyani with the family. Mutton smells terrible. Made a mess of malabari biriyani. Never had such poor experience here earlier. Pathetic service and managerial service. While serving mutton biriyani, one could see the service person's finger dipping inside the biriyani. Manager unwilling to accept that anything could have been better. Such shameless guys that they charged also for everything even though nearly half the food and all meats were left behind.
Four of us went. The ambiance is good. It is an old house renovated (interior) in a restaurant. This is basically a kerala food themed restaurant. The starters and main course are all kerala based dishes. The food was good. We ordered baby potato fry and mutton dry for starters and Appam, veg Stew, kadala curry, kadala curry and mutton stew for main course. The appam was very nice. Also will recommend the kadala curry and Mutton stew. Also another point is the dishes are quite large portions. Actually for 4 of us we ordered 3 curries and after eating 4 appams each still the curries were remaining and we had to parcel the rest. (we strongly believe in not wasting food and water). The desert is also kerala based. So we had Sulaimani tea which is black tea with herbs. We went on a Monday evening so we were able to have a quite atmosphere. Overall the experience is good.
Terrible service. Took order and left.people who came later ordered the same dish and got served while we wait. After asking.came and started serving some other dish which we didn't order. Left the place fuming.
Onam Sadhya Home Delivery is a complete disaster! It’s not worth the price they are charging. Quantity is less & not properly packed. Some items are repeated. No proper care for the price you pay. For this price it’s better off you pay a little extra and have it in a decent fine dine. This is my first time I ordered through this restaurant through a friends recommendation. It’s disappointing and never again would try this place personally.
Food here is never disappointing! Always a fan of their Sadya, also a big shout to their addictive lemon iced tea. We make sure to order their iced tea every time we visit.
The restaurant was not easy to locate the food was sub standard service was very poor and the ambience was awful. My first and last visit to this place.for sure! Ordered a fish thali and you get only one measly sardine in tasteless curry! Uuufff
Salt Mango Tree offers tasty and authentic Kerala cuisine. The food does not feel heavy or oily. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They offer good suggestions on what to order. Their Onam Sadhya is very good. They conduct Tattukada festival which offers very unique preperation.
Highly #recommended place in #Bangalore for #Keralafood. Amazing food quality served in #healthyatmosphere.nice staff, management also provide catering service if you wish to #celebrate some functions, Get together, #wedding events or corporate events at your palce then you must try #SaltMangoTreeRestaurant Catering service.
I always look forward to having a wholesome Kerala meal here. I've been a regular to salt mango tree for a few years.and the taste has been on par till nowAmazing staff! Very well behaved.
Amazing food, best place to satisfy your hunger specially when you are foodie.its highly recommended place in bangalore for kerala cuisine, one must try mallabar chicken dum briyani, its finder linking.
Extremely poor quality food and the price is super high. They charged 2k for 2 Sadhya! Avoid this place! You will be able to find much much better restaurants in Indiranagar.
Never ever buy their combos.it's pathetic. You can play frisbee with their kerala parota.and for the chicken combo meal, there is more paysam than chicken curry. Used to be one of the places that uses to serve decnt kerala food a while ago.
After a long gap of time, I am going to Indira Nagar. When the family wanted a lunch, there was no better choice than Salt mango when you are on the 12th main. The staff is great. I remember having a few drops of theeyal, aviyal first, the taste was great. I had chammandi with. Wow, and the kid loved the hot Kerala parotta. A ayila fry made his day. And my partner, she had the chicken curry, varatharacha one. It was a amazing lunch. Thanks guys. Love to be back. The streets are crowded, business is bustling back to normal. Hopefully pandemic wears out, let us visit them often.
If you want the best hospitality along with a great ambience and great Sadhya, come visit Salt Mango Tree! They serve the delicious food with utmost care. I can't remember most of the names (malayalam ariyilla) but every dish is delisshhhh!
Very Bad Onam sadhya, half of the thing they served are 2 days old was smelling bad. 1250 rs each including GST, Wasted my hard earned money. Please do a quality check before serving.
Had authentic Onam Sadya without any hassle of pre-booking. Just walked in early to ensure I don't wait in queue. Amazing spread. Good service. Would love to repeat.
One of the best restaurants for Kerala food. The chicken biryani is Malabar style, very mild and flavourful, they serve it with pappadam and pickle. Beef fry was awesome, well cooked (not burnt) in coconut oil with curry leaves and grated coconut. This is one restaurant I keep ordering regularly!
Excellent food, the management is awesome, constantly interact with customers and tend to their wants. Definitely my personal best, and well recommend.
Ps. Try on Onam to feel the tradition rushing around you!
The food is unlike the regular breakfast items that North Indians tend to limit South Indian cuisine to. The variety is enough to confuse you, the taste is worth remembering and revisiting the place for While I am not from Kerala I have taken a lot of my friends from Kerala, each of whom have loved the food here.
Love the Kerala food (Whole wheat parotta, beef curry & fry, Chicken biriyani, vegetarian meals and Nannhari sarbath) here. Would have definitely given all the if the service is above average.
The 5 Stars are for the food. The appams, stew, vegetable curries and the prawns were all just perfect. Service is great. Ambience is simple but could be a lot better.
They don't have courtesy towards their customers you don't get anything customized to your requirements either you take it or leave it. I don't recommend this place besides being very very pricey you have better options in Indiranagar both cost and quality wise
We had a great time during lunch. The place is well ventilated and hygienic. The food was good. Price pretty decent. If you looking for Kerala cuisine, it is recommended.
Had kappa, fish curry, appam and beef roast. Fish curry and beef were not so good. But appam was really yummy and kappa was ok. But cost is really high.
A great cozy place at a quiet corner of indiranagar, Bangalore - great authentic keralite cuisine, u will love it and don't miss sulemani tea at the end
A good reasonable Kerala food restaurant.they have really good breakfast combo like appam n egg toast puttu egg roast Kadla curry. On few days they also have kappa they have a good lunch meal option. The staff is really friendly. The food also tastes good and the place is a house themed into restaurant. Overall I liked it would definitely visit again
Decent and hygienic place. But No value for money. Biryani is highly over priced with just average taste. I have had kerala food in some restaurants which serves more tastier Biryani in half of this price. Other items were also not so great in taste.
Very Bad experience, ordered Pothichoru through online. Received on time. Little exited thinking wow! Something great.opened the pothi. Utter waste.lot of rice.some where in the corner 1 tea spoon cabbage upperi. 1 tea spoon so called coconut chatney.same measurement of Mango pickle along with little sambar in the plastic bag. (looks like aluminum cover). Total price is 218/- Not worth more than Rs. 50/- Absolutely, looting.
I tried to reach out the restaurant immediately through the numbers published in the website. No one picked.
Very bad & pathetic lunch.
Guys.it's not too late to go for a market study. Kindly d it.
In short, avoid this place. This place is super expensive. A veg meal costs 190Rs plus tax. There is no justification for such exhobriant charge - not air conditioned, ambience feels cheap like a local mess, food taste is pathetic, does not feel like authentic kerala cuisine and staff does not care at all for what we ask. Dont try to speak in malayalam with the staff. Most of the staff there are not from kerala. They have almost all varieties listed on the menu but for the quality and ambience they provide, its a rip off. Avoid this place. There are many other better kerala resturants indiranagar.
(After 3 Visits) Very bad service and exceedingly substandard food. Exorbitant prices for a regular restaurant without AC. There fine dining spaces in an around Indiranagar where much better Kerala delicacies are severed. This place is a rip-off in the name of Kerala food. Staff was completely clueless and confused.
They are superbly short-staffed! So it takes a while to get heard, but once the food is on the table you forgive everything! It is some of the best mallu food I've had in a LONG time! We ordered a chicken varutaracha, wheat parotas (!), Ghee rice, beef curry, beef biryani and a prawn curry with green mango in it - the prawn curry was EPIC.
This is one of the worst restaurant I have ever come visited. Hygiene is very bad, you can't imagine about how dirty it is. Food taste is horrible Staff are aliens, you ask something and they will serve some thing else Management is the root cause of all, he is care less. They served money dish for veg order. The rating is goofedup one. I don't recommend this place. Don't get Kerala food either. BAD BAD BADDDDDD
