Salt Restaurant

We ate here on Saturday night as we’d had an overnight train and we’re exhausted.
I ordered a Mutton Biryani and my wife ordered the Vegetable Biryani.
I’m always suspicious when the food comes out super quickly and in this case it was fairly fast.
My Mutton Biryani was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a month of being in India. For a start it wasn’t hot it was only warm. Secondly it was just a big bowl of rice with some mutton bones in it. There were no deliciously fried onions, no sauce, no meat.
I picked out the bits of bone with some rice but there was no flavour so I didn’t eat it.
When the waiter came and took my plate I said how bad it was but I don’t think he understood though he could clearly see I hadn’t eaten it.
I’m giving 3 stars instead of none because my wife’s Vegetable Biryani was very nice and hot, we shared it, and the staff were all very nice despite the lack of English.
From the reviews the food here sounds good but the Mutton B was truly rubbish and I shouldn’t have paid for it.

Excellent food and service, they have Ala carte for lunch and dinner. Good menu options.
