Fairly popular Bong restaurant located right opposite the BTM lake park entrance. Good to see a restaurant with accessible pricing and fairly authentic Bengali taste. The Radhaballavi with cholar dal comes well recommended as do other dishes. Pleasant surprise is the huge carrom board in the middle to pass your time and the nice bookshelf loaded with popular stuff.

They missed some critical Bengali aspects but even after that, they are serving the divine Bengali Cuisine. Bengali in Bangalore should visit them.

Had a great experience of their Astami lunch buffet. It was not only a big spread but truly unlimited. Unlike other food areas during puja, which are mostly cramped, this place has enough seating arrangements to accommodate atleast 100 people at a time. And the most important thing was the quality of the food, as every single item that was available in the buffet was very authentically prepared. We really had a great time, thanks to the management for making my 8 year old a free entry to their buffet.

Visited Saltlake for today lunch. I have heard a lot about this place from one our Bengali association I am associated with. I must say this place definitely deserve all these praises. The place is very spacious and pretty neatly maintained. But more than anything which amazed me the most is their quality of the dishes they serve. Every single items that were served were very authentically prepared. The service could have been little faster but otherwise it was a Wow experience.

We recently had an event of 60 people.we got our food ordered from the SALTLAKE restaurant… the food was very good… everyone liked it.even the kids in the party they liked it… Only concern was that my family members have to go and pick in between the event.as they were tied up with other events… since the food feedback was good… these were understood… thank you for arranging 60 plates in a short notice…

Authentic Bengali food is served here. Simple and sweet "bengali" ambience reflecting the soul of WB. The staff is also Bengali.

We ordered a Bengali Veg Combo meal and Chicken Dak Bangla. Veg thali was perfect. Begun Bhaja took me to Kolkata.

It is located just in front of BTM Lake entrance. You can park your vehicle there between 9 am to 6 pm. Otherwise parking can be an issue on that road.

Overall good. You can come during Durga Puja with family and friends.

Visited on Bengali New Year’s day. There were good buffet option, but we went for a la carte. Though the service was a bit slow, but the food was very tasty and homely. The owner is very good and polite.

We ordered two Ginger Tea. Waiting for 30 minutes after that got know milk not there for tea. Disgusting Cafe ever seen. Not recommended at all.

Salt Lake is a Wonderful fine dining restaurant located just opposite to BTM Lake and Next to Last Page book store. The prices are affordable. They have a great varieties of Breakfast options, Bengali items, Starters, Soups, Snacks, Quick Bites, sweets and combos. Gulab Jamun is a must try mouth watering delight. Gulab Jamun costs Rs. 35/- per price. It is super fluffy and tasty. Veg Steam momos is a must try. Their Garlic Chutney served with Momos is finger licking good. Veg momos cost Rs. 70 for 7 momos. Momos was super tasty and filling. It is a toddler friendly restaurant with high chairs and a great soothing ambience. They have a lot of books to read. The restrooms are super neat and clean. It is highly recommended for family gatherings, warmup parties.

We visited Saltlake thrice & ordered all authentic bengali food items for our guests on a special occasion. It was full worthy of money.

We do explore Bengali cuisine restaurants all around Bangalore quite a lot. Was extremely happy to find out Saltlake offering Bengali authentic delicacies very near to our home. The chilli chicken taste was right out of Kolkata chef speciality.

Amazing food. Each dish had the touch of Bengali cuisine and they have a huge variety from which you can choose.
Definitely recommend this place for all meals and even if you just wanna chill:)

Have you even tasted the egg roll? Who puts cucumbers in egg rolls? Rolls were served cold. #rip egg rolls.

Unique taste for every dish. The paneer noodles I ordered had shallot onions used instead of regular onions which enhanced the taste of the dish to another level. A must visit place if you are around BTM Layout.

Firstly, I saw this Saltlake restaurant on Zomato and was curious to visit this place. So went there for trial purpose with my friends and was amazed with the entire ambience and the cafe styled set up that too opposite of btm lake (brilliant location) not in a very crowded location. The staffs were really curtious. Then we tried dimer devil, egg torka with ruti and the kolkata styled biryani. All the dishes we tried was worth trying what we crave for in our namma Bengal-uru. Food was less oily, very mildly spicy and taste was near authentic. The Owner Mr Bikram was very pleasant personality took us through the entire restaurant and 2nd floor seating area. And Mr Bikram offered us Kalo Jamun dessert as complimentary which was a very sweet gesture. Overall the hospitality was excellent. We are looking forward again to spend our evening soon. They serve really good authentic Bengali cuisine.service was bit slow as they had limited staff but the owner was too good and polite.he himself took our order and gave sweet as complimentary. Taste was really very nice and they have lot of options for Indian and Chinese as well.

They serve authentic Bengali food in BTM layout. The ambience is very good. One could have a great view of lake while having food. The Bengali spread of items is superb. The owner is very humble and is always in toes to help you out. If you love to have Bengali cuisine, this is the place.

Saltlake is a must visit for all the food lovers out there. The restaurant is very well located (opposite a beautiful lake), spacious (2 floors), and looks classy (neat, clean and pleasant ambience). The food is very tasty and the presentation is appealing too. They have a nice collection of books to read while having your food. The owner of this beautiful restaurant is very humble and polite. I would really love to come back again and again.

Saw your post on BiB group actually and thought ki I should try it. Honestly, anekdin por besh guchiye gharer kawar khelam. Ar Adda debar besh valo jayga. Met couple of bengalis at the venue and it was real fun.

Had visited BTM lake and saw this huge eat out area opposite. Initially was thinking the price will be high, but we went inside and found the prices were quite nominal and good quantity of food was served. Tried different bengal snacks like chop, cutlet, french fries. It's a nice place with good view of the lake

The most I liked eating out here with my family is about the sit out area. Its so free & very nice atmosphere. Cleanliness is also maintained very well. Toilets are clean. Food was very well satisfactory. We liked the restaurant. The restaurant owners themselves come and take your order personally which is just amazing. Wish them a great success!

Great hosts and Good Food. The restaurant is at a very soothing location, just across the lake. The ambience is rustic and comfy, good to hang out with friends and family. Clean and hygiene too! Will surely visit again.

Had a worst experience for 2 time yesterday and today. They have removed their regular menu and created a special package menu for Navaratri. The price for the packages are too much. The quality does not justify the price. Today we ordered non-veg thali, and were disappointed completely. There is no sync on what the receptionist lady is talking and what the waiter who took the order and served. The bengalis should not waste money by visiting this place.

Have tried multiple restaurant and this is the only restaurant that gives the ghar wala vibe of food. Not greasy, taste and simple yet delicious. The best upcoming Bengali restaurant in Bangalore for sure.

You guys are very thoughtful to arrange “Sindoor Khela” during this pandemic time when other places had made it only for the members… it’s a Bengali restaurant and huge…everyone was very friendly…
